Stampin’ Up! Birthday Blossoms for Mother’s Day!

Stampin’ Up! Birthday Blossoms for Mother’s Day!

Hey there! Today's card is created with the soon-retiring Birthday Blossoms, but I used it to make a Mother's Day card for my Mother-in-law. I originally planned to give her the card I blogged yesterday for the Stamper's Dozen Blog Hop, but after I completed it I remembered her favorite color is purple and there wasn't a bit of purple on that card. She just turned 90, so if you like purple best, that's what you should have, right?

I used the same layout, Stitched Shapes and Layering Ovals Framelits, Pinewood Planks embossing folder, and Decorative Ribbon Border Punch, then used Mint Macaron for the card base and Blackberry Bliss for the aforementioned purple!

Stampin_up_birthday_blossoms_carolpaynestamps1

"CELEBRATE you" is very appropriate for Mother's Day, don't you think? I stamped-off the blossoms once before inking the white paper, then added a rhinestone to every center for some sparkle.

Stampin_up_birthday_blossoms_carolpaynestamps2

I tied the Whisper White Polka Dot Tulle ribbon in a bow. It's just so frilly-looking, and is also available in Very Vanilla! You can start ordering these ribbons on June 1st!

Stampin’ Up! Rich Razzleberry Touches of Texture!

Stampin’ Up! Rich Razzleberry Touches of Texture!

Hey there! Just a few more bleach cards left to share! Are you sick of this technique yet? I hope not! I hope you are inspired to give it a try!

For today's card I stamped bleach on Rich Razzleberry card stock and found Sweet Sugarplum!

Stampin_up_touches_of_texture_bleach_carolpaynestamps3 - Copy

I truly think this Sweet Sugarplum/Rich Razzleberry color combo is my favorite! Do you ever get on a "color kick"? I think I'm on this one right now! After stamping with bleach, I embossed with the new Sparkle Textured Impressions Embossing Folder.

Stampin_up_touches_of_texture_bleach_carolpaynestamps6 - Copy

We don't have Rich Razzleberry embossing powder, but you can emboss classic stamped ink when you work quickly after stamping to sprinkle with Clear embossing powder and heat.

You have a little extra time to get the clear powder on ink you've stamped on Vellum. After heating I punched with the Decorative Label Punch. I used strategically placed glue dots to adhere to the card. The sentiment is from Mixed Borders.

Stampin_up_touches_of_texture_bleach_carolpaynestamps4 - Copy

I tied Sweet Sugarplum 3/8" Ruched Ribbon in a bow for the finishing touch.

Inside I stamped another Touches of Texture image and a sentiment from Birthday Blossoms.

Stampin’ Up! Pop of Paradise!

Stampin’ Up! Pop of Paradise!

Hey there! Happy Tuesday! Today I have a Z-fold card that I created with the new Pop of Paradise stamp set and Pop of Pink Specialty Designer Paper:

Stampin_up_pop_of_paradise_carolpaynestamps1 - Copy

Flamingos! I've never been much of a flamingo fan, but the "Pop of Pink" product suite in the new Annual Catalog has really changed my mind!

Stampin_up_pop_of_paradise_carolpaynestamps2 - Copy

If it's not stamped with Melon Mambo Classic ink, I've embossed with Gold Stampin' Emboss Powder! "A VERY special day" was gold embossed on Melon Mambo,  punched twice with the Decorative Label Punch and then mounted on another full Basic Black Decorative Label. I flanked the phrase with a couple of rhinestones for a bit more bling!

Stampin_up_pop_of_paradise_carolpaynestamps3 - Copy

There are a BUNCH of new framelits and thinlets dies to coordinate with new stamp sets in the new catalog, but unfortunately none to cut out the flamingo or the pineapple.  HOWEVER,  it was a snap to cut them both with my Paper Snips Scissors! I used little pieces of Pop of Pink paper for the background.

Stampin_up_pop_of_paradise_carolpaynestamps4 - Copy

I embossed the center pineapple with gold, then stamped and cut out a "mask" from a Post-It Note to cover before stamping the pineapples to look like they are sitting behind the first one. The gold-embossed phrase is from Love & Affection, another new stamp set from the 2016/2017 Annual Catalog!

Stampin_up_pop_of_paradise_carolpaynestamps5 - Copy

"happy birthday" is from Birthday Blossoms, a carry-over set from the current catalog. I love lining my envelopes with coordinating designer paper, don't you?

The new catalog goes live ONE WEEK FROM TODAY! I can hardly believe it! whoo hoo!

Until then, be sure to check out what's still available on the Retiring Stamps & Accessories List! You can view & order in my online store: www.carolpayne.stampinup.net

Be sure to add some card stock to your order. Card stock prices in the new catalog are going UP!

Stampin’ Up! Timeless Elegance for Kimberly!

Stampin’ Up! Timeless Elegance for Kimberly!

Hey there! We had our family celebration for all of the August birthdays yesterday. It was a lovely family day , and since August is also my birthday month, we decided to get KFC and a DQ ice cream cake to make it easy "cooking"! lol!

The card I'm sharing with you today I made for Kimberly's birthday. She just started selling Mary Kay a few months ago so I wanted to make her a card with a girly "make-up" theme:

Stampin_up_timeless_elegance_1 - Copy

I paired Timeless Elegance Designer Series Paper with the Birthday Blossoms set, adding Tip Top Taupe 1" Dotted Lace Trim, Basic Black 1/2" Striped Satin Ribbon, and Black Glimmer paper (coming soon in the Holiday Catalog!) for sparkle!

Stampin_up_timeless_elegance_2 - Copy

I created the "lipstick" with the diaper pin framelit in the Baby's First Framelits, and one of the labels in the Project Life Cards and Labels. I applied Crystal Effects over the Rose Red card stock for some shine.

Stampin_up_timeless_elegance_3 - Copy

I punched the Black Glimmer paper with the Tree Builder Punch tiny flower and made my own envelope with more Timeless Elegance paper and the Envelope Punch Board.

Stampin_up_timeless_elegance_4 - Copy

Here's the supply list for Kimberly's Timeless Elegance card. You can order everything you need from my online store: www.carolpayne.stampinup.net
