Stampin’ Up! Sunday Swap Day Hold on to Hope!

Stampin’ Up! Sunday Swap Day Hold on to Hope!

Hey there! Just a quick post before church this morning. I want to share with you three awesome swaps I've received using the Hold on to Hope set!

This card created by Kathy Johnson was the inspiration for the Touches of Texture Mini-Easel card I shared with you earlier this week HERE.

Kathy kept her colors simple: Berry Burst & Whisper White! Kathy also used a bunch of the dies in the coordinating Cross of Hope Framelits.

Stampin_up_berry_burst_hold_on_to_hope_carolpaynestamps2

Susan B. Levasseur combined Whole Lot of Lovely Designer Series Paper (retiring and now SOLD OUT) with Crosses of Hope to create a WOW card:

I love this verse from Isaiah 46. God always keeps his promises!

Finally, my sister Stampers Dozen Blog hopper, Judy Garza, used Night of Navy, Old Olive, and Whisper White for her card. She cut the cross from Silver Foil, embossed the Old Olive background with the Layered Leaves Dynamic folder, and added a Clear Faceted Gem to the center for some sparkle.

Stampin’ Up! Daisy Delight Pop-Thru Card!

Stampin’ Up! Daisy Delight Pop-Thru Card!

Hey there! Recently one of my Yes Mam! Stampers team members, Linda, shared a new card layout she found on a demonstrator Facebook group. Terri Gaines shared this neat layout/fold/technique using the Classic Label Punch:

Stampin_up_daisy_delight_carolpaynestamps1

I used her layout/technique but used the Daisy Delight stamp set, Daisy Punch, and Delightful Daisy Designer Paper for my creation.

Stampin_up_daisy_delight_carolpaynestamps2

The card is held together by the daisy that is attached to the inside of the card and slides through to the front when it is gently folded and inserted in the slot created with the Classic Label Punch.

I just love the classic color combo of Night of Navy, Daffodil Delight, and Whisper White!

Stampin’ Up! Lots of Lavender!

Stampin’ Up! Lots of Lavender!

Hey there! We are having a SNOW DAY in Southern Illinois! You wouldn't think this 58 year-old grandma would be so excited, but it's 16 degrees with about an inch of ice and a skittering of snow on top! Not to mention the wind is blowing fiercely! Mark has the wood stove burning merrily; sitting on the couch under my heated throw makes me thankful for a snug and cozy home! A snow day also means my daughter gets to stay home and love on her babies!

Now that I'm feeling better, (I still feel like I'm coughing up a lung about every other morning) I've finally had some mojo to play with my Sale-a-bration freebies. I played with the Lots of Lavender and Heartfelt Blooms sets to create this:

Stampin_up_lots_of_lavendar_carolpaynestamps1

I created the loopy bow by winding the Whisper White 1/4" Organza Ribbon around my hand about 5 times, then tied another piece of ribbon around the center of the loops tightly. after fanning out the loops I adhered the the card with a couple of glue dots.

Stampin_up_lots_of_lavendar_carolpaynestamps2

The Lots of Lavendar stamp set is free with a $50 order from any current catalog. I stamped the bloom with Tuxedo Black Momento ink so I could both stamp it with the fill-in images from the set with Wisteria Wonder and Pear Pizzazz AND color the bow with a Light Pink Pirouette Stampin' Blends Marker. I cut the layers with the Lots of Labels Framelits dies.

Stampin_up_lots_of_lavendar_carolpaynestamps3

I love the fonts used in the Heartfelt Blooms set. They stamp very crisply on Whisper White!

Stampin_up_lots_of_lavendar_carolpaynestamps4

I used one of the Petal Pair Textured Impressions Embossing Folders on the Wisteria Wonder layer, flipping the folder around after the first embossing so there would be both the positive and the negative impressions.

Stampin_up_lots_of_lavendar_carolpaynestamps5

Inside I stamped and colored the lavender again, as well as another Heartfelt Blooms sentiment. I cut the white layer 3 1/2" x 4 3/4"to allow more of the embossed Wisteria Wonder layer to show.

Stampin_up_lots_of_lavendar_carolpaynestamps6

As a final touch on the inside and outside lavender I added Clear Wink of Stella for a bit of shimmer.

Stampin’ Up! Sunday Swap Day on Thursday!

Stampin’ Up! Sunday Swap Day on Thursday!

Hey there! So sorry for the late post. Last night when I was ready to start my post Typepad was completely down (something about a "TLC handshake" failing) so I just closed my computer and went to bed. I'm still working on recovering from the "choking crud", as one of my daughter's called it, without getting a sinus infection. So far, so good.

I also have a little problem with the most recent pictures I've taken of my most recent creations. If you remember, I've been having problems with my camera, ever since my grandkids got a hold of it during Christmas. I've been trying different settings to get it back to normal. It seemed like  a good idea to change a setting to "vivid"to correct the yellowness of my previous pics. In reality, "vivid" makes everything fluorescent! Greens, pinks, yellows, they all hurt your eyes with their "vividness"! I need to set up and take new pics with a better setting (I think I've got it figured out now).

So to be able to move forward with my day and with my blog post I'm sharing another set of cute swaps! I will be re-taking the pictures of my creations (and some more swaps) today so things should be back to normal tomorrow! lol!

First, an adorable folding baby card by Carol Slack! Carol used the Fresh Florals Designer Series Paper with the A Little Wild Bundle. Sooooo cute!

Stampin_up_a_little_wild_carolpaynestamps1

After stamping the bear she cut him out with a Little Loves Framelits die. I love the little bee! You can't see in the pic but there's a touch of Clear Wink of Stella on the bee's wings!

Stampin_up_a_little_wild_carolpaynestamps2

Another sweet touch is the tiny pearl she added to the flower center:

Stampin_up_a_little_wild_carolpaynestamps3

Fully opened reveals her use of the Sweetheart Textured Impressions Embossing Folder, sponging around the heart with Blushing Bride ink!

Stampin_up_a_little_wild_carolpaynestamps4

Next, Ruth Bingle colored the bloom from Remarkable You with the Rich Razzleberry Stampin' Blends Markers for a vibrant look! Sweet Sugarplum, Rich Razzleberry, Whisper White, Old Olive, and Basic Black combine for an elegant look!

Stampin_up_remarkable_you_carolpaynestamps1

Finally, Cindy Ewertz' creation with This Little Piggy! I love the Soft Sky paired with Whisper White and Smoky Slate for her color palette as a background for the Piggy colored with Pink Pirouette Stampin' Blends. The Petal Garden Designer Series Paper she used for the inside strip makes a gentle contrast to the Smoky Slate-stamped Hardwood background stamped on the front.

Stampin_up_this_little_piggy_carolpaynestamps1

Gorgeous!

Stampin’ Up! Sunday Swap Day Year in Review!

Stampin’ Up! Sunday Swap Day Year in Review!

Hey there! It's the last day of 2017! How fast time flies whether you're having fun or not! I would have to say 2017 has been a good year for me, filled with lots of fun with family, a couple of great trips with my hubby for our 40th wedding anniversary, and of course, fun stamping! I reached my 15 year anniversary as a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator this year too, and am happy to say that I feel like I am still growing in my stamping style as well as growing my business!

I thought today would be a good opportunity to share some of my favorite cards created in 2017. I'm going back all the way to January, so this post will be long!

To start off, here's a card I created in January using the Cool Treats set. I love that Stampin' Up keeps giving us fun images and coordinating dies to make cutting them out a breeze!

Note: the stamps and dies are still available to order, but the designer paper is not (sad face) See the supplies list at the bottom of this post for links to my online store for the supplies you can order!

Next is a card I've been enjoying sending every month of 2017 with our monthly share as members of Samaritan Ministries. It's fun to create flat cards sometimes. I tend to be a "lots of layers girl", so it's a fun challenge to create something flat and beautiful that will go through the mail without extra postage or fuss!

Here's the link to the Sheltering Tree card: http://www.carolpaynestamps.com/2017/02/stampin-up-sheltering-tree-for-samaritan-ministries.html

Note: I do not receive any compensation for the link provided to the Samaritan Ministries website. It is an organization I believe in, and if you are searching for an alternative to crippling health insurance premiums, check them out.

High Tide is a beautiful set that is so versatile: masculine, birthdays, sympathy, thinking of you, for anyone! I created this easel calendar in February 2017 and am happy to report that with the exception of the cording used, all is still in my store!

I loved the flat (mostly!) card I created for my mother-in-law's 89th birthday with the Big on Birthdays set. Here's the link: http://www.carolpaynestamps.com/2017/03/stampin-up-big-on-birthdays-for-dolores.html

6a00e54f70aa80883301b8d26f7fa6970c-450wi

I really enjoyed creating with the Flourishing Phrases and Timeless Textures sets for this card I posted in April. The embossing folder and the sparkly embellishment are retired, but the stamps are not! Here's the post link: http://www.carolpaynestamps.com/2017/04/stampin-up-flourishing-phrases-kissing.html

6a00e54f70aa80883301b7c8ec2026970b-450wi

Daisy Delight and the Daisy Punch were INSTANT HITS in the new Annual Catalog! Stampin' Up! has never sold so many of the same punch, EVER, and the punch spent many days on the backorder list. Happily, this set and punch are still available, separately and as a BUNDLE to save you 10%! Post link: http://www.carolpaynestamps.com/2017/05/stampin-up-daisy-delight.html

6a00e54f70aa80883301b8d27e1e96970c-450wi

Beautiful You is a set from last year's Occasions Catalog that carried over to the Annual. After reviewing this post and the ones after it, I need to get this set out and play again!

6a00e54f70aa80883301b8d28087b9970c-450wi

Did you know you can choose Host Sets as part of your Stampin' Rewards when you place an order of at least $150? You can! Tranquil Tulips is still available as a Host-Only set and uses only $10 of your Stampin' Rewards! I paired it on this card with the Label Me Pretty stamp set and Pretty Label Punch Bundle. Reviewing these cards are making me itch to play!

6a00e54f70aa80883301b8d284764f970c-450wi

I used the Birthday Memories Suite on pages 68-69 of the Annual Catalog to create this "Golden Book" card. The images and designs in the Birthday Memories Designer Series Paper are so reminiscent of my childhood! Here's the link to the blog post: http://www.carolpaynestamps.com/2017/06/stampin-up-birthday-delivery-little-golden-book.html

6a00e54f70aa80883301b7c8ffae47970b-450wi

With Valentine's Day right around the corner it's always a good idea to be thinking about the stamps you already have that you can use for a valentine. Lots of Love is one of those stamp sets. Here's a card I made in June that I just might have to CASE for February 14! Check out the blog post here to see what I really mean!

6a00e54f70aa80883301b8d28e565c970c-450wi

Finally for today, a Christmas card I created back in June with the Annual Catalog set, Merry Mistletoe. Although Christmas was only last Monday, it's never too early to start your Christmas cards. Here's the link for the full post: http://www.carolpaynestamps.com/2017/06/stampin-up-merry-mistletoe.html

I really enjoyed creating with the Flourishing Phrases and Timeless Textures sets for this card I posted in April. The embossing folder and the sparkly embellishment are retired, but the stamps are not! Here's the post link: http://www.carolpaynestamps.com/2017/04/stampin-up-flourishing-phrases-kissing.html

Beautiful You is a set from last year's Occasions Catalog that carried over to the Annual. After reviewing this post and the ones after it, I need to get this set out and play again!

I used the Birthday Memories Suite on pages 68-69 of the Annual Catalog to create this "Golden Book" card. The images and designs in the Birthday Memories Designer Series Paper are so reminiscent of my childhood! With Valentine's Day right around the corner it's always a good idea to be thinking about the stamps you already have that you can use for a valentine. Lots of Love is one of those stamp sets. Here's a card I made in June that I just might have to CASE for February 14! Check out the blog post here to see what I really mean!

Finally for today, a Christmas card I created back in June with the Annual Catalog set, Merry Mistletoe. Although Christmas was only last Monday, it's never too early to start your Christmas cards. Stay tuned for tomorrow's post where I finish my "year in review"! As I'm scrolling through all of the posts here on my blog for the past year, there's just too many favorites not to share!

Use the December host code  ETH3RQQS to receive a thank you card (un-signed so YOU can send it to someone else!) and a little embellishment gift from me when you place your order in my online store: http://bit.ly/shopwithCarolPayneStamps

If your order is over $150, please don’t use this code, because YOU ARE THE HOST and get to choose free Stampin’ Rewards. You will still receive your thank you card and embellishment gift from me!

Stampin' Up!'s Year End Sale will end on January 2nd, but there are still great discounts available on stamps, dies, and embellishments. Don’t wait any longer, they are only available while supplies last!
