Stampin’ Up! Painted Harvest OnStage Swaps!

Stampin’ Up! Painted Harvest OnStage Swaps!

Hey there! We had a great stamp camp last night at Christie's house. Lots of laughs and fun cards made! Today is a dark and blustery day, a great day to stay inside and stamp, which is exactly what I'm going to do as soon as I get some weekly housekeeping chores done. There's also a box of new Occasions and Sale-a-bration catalog goodies just begging me to open it, but I'm being a good girl and making myself wait until I have some of my most needed tasks done before I dive in!

Speaking of the Occasions catalog, at every Stampin' Up! event there is always the chance to swap! My team member, Linda, did some swapping and received several using the Painted Harvest stamp set (hint: the Occasions Catalog has the Painted Harvest set and coordinating Leaf Punch shown on the back page as carryover products! However, they will no longer be bundled, so if you want to save 10% you need to buy them before the Holiday Catalog ends on January 2, 2018)

First in the lineup of Painted Harvest swaps was made by Lisa Mowry. Her combo of Whisper White embossed with the Layered Leaves Dynamic folder, Melon Mambo bloom, and Lemon Lime Twist accents are such a breath of spring-like air on this gloomy day!

Next, Randi Lontz chose subtle Perfect Plum and Always Artichoke with pops of Crushed Curry for her Painted Harvest creation:

Stampin_up_painted_harvest_carolpaynestamps9

Patricia Coats' rendition of the Painted Harvest hedgehog used the teddy bear face from Cookie Cutter Christmas!

Stampin_up_painted_harvest_hedgehog_carolpaynestamps1

Finally, Joyce Hall's clean and simple card features the Painted Harvest bloom stamped as a Christmas wreath with a sentiment from Watercolor Christmas stamped in Cherry Cobbler and accented with Cherry Cobbler 1/4" Double-stitched Ribbon.

Stampin’ Up! Stamping My Way Through the Catalog, Oh Happy Day Card Kit!

Stampin’ Up! Stamping My Way Through the Catalog, Oh Happy Day Card Kit!

Hey there! The next card kit in the catalog is found on page 15, the Oh Happy Day Card Kit! This kit is a bright and cheery addition to your crafting stash!

Today I'm sharing the first 5 of the 20 kit cards, standard 4 1/4" x 5 1/2":

Stampin up oh happy day card kit carolpaynestamps1

The instructions and pictures in the kit help with assembly. The printed pieces are numbered for which card they are for.

Stampin_up_oh_happy_day_card_kit_carolpaynestamps2

As I removed the pieces I wrote the numbers on the back and put them in stacks:

Stampin_up_oh_happy_day_card_kit_carolpaynestamps3

The 13-piece stamp set included in the kit provides choice for many occasions:

Stampin_up_oh_happy_day_card_kit_carolpaynestamps4

The kit contains 20 pre-printed and scored card bases, 20 kraft envelopes,  a clear stamp block, 13 photopolymer stamps, embossed layers,  printed die-cut images, die-cut glittered chipboard embellishments, die-cut white pieces and foil shapes, a Basic Black Stampin' Spot, printed color doilies, Baker's Twine, glittered dots, and Stampin' Dimensionals.

Stampingrox Tip:the Basic Black Stampin' Spot isn't juicy enough to ink photopolymer stamps very well. I recommend purchasing a Basic Black Archival ink refill and/or a Firm Foam Classic ink pad in another color to match the colors of the kit: Bermuda Bay, Daffodil Delight, Melon Mambo, or Tangerine Tango. I also recommend you use a Stampin' Pierce Mat under your paper when you stamp with photopolymer stamps. It provides the cushion needed to get a clear ink transfer and a crisp image.

Stampin_up_oh_happy_day_card_kit_carolpaynestamps5

I have assembled these cards almost exactly the way the kit recommends, but you could make them any way you want!

Stampingrox Tip: You will need SNAIL adhesive, glue dots, and/or Multipurpose Liquid Glue in addition to the dimensionals in the kit.

Stampin_up_oh_happy_day_card_kit_carolpaynestamps6

The Baker's Twine is messily anchored on the card front with glue dots on the back of the chipboard stars.

Stampin_up_oh_happy_day_card_kit_carolpaynestamps7

This card uses the same stamp as the card above, but I used a Basic Black Stampin' Write Marker to only ink the "thank you". I also filled in areas of the stamped sentiments with a black Journaling Pen.

Stampin’ Up! Sunday Swap Day July 23!

Stampin’ Up! Sunday Swap Day July 23!

Hey there and happy Sunday! Next to Mondays, Sundays are my favorite day of the week! Sundays are time to worship, rest, and relax with family! Perfect day!

Sundays are also the days I get to share some of my swap stash with you! Settle in to enjoy some of my favorites from the New Catalog!

First, Kathy Morgan used the Climbing Orchid bundle for her lovely card. Rich Razzleberry was her color choice for the orchids, and she added a drop of Lemon Lime Twist reinker to a bit of Embossing Paste to create the lattice-looking background with one of the Pattern Party Decorative Masks.

Stampin_up_climbing_orchid_carolpaynestamps1

Next, Lorraine Duran used the Graceful Garden set with Petal Garden Designer Series Paper and a Delicate White Doily for her feminine creation:

Stampin_up_graceful_garden_carolpaynestamps1

Dena Tarkowski combined Naturally Eclectic Designer Series Paper with Berry Burst card stock, ink, and ribbon. She stamped the label frame with the Label Me Pretty set, punched with the Pretty Label Punch, and added the "thanks a bunch" from Beautiful Bouquet.

Susan Levasseur paired the Oh So Eclectic set with Fresh Fig, Berry Burst, Island Indigo, Basic Black, and Whisper White for a strikingly great card!
