Stampin’ Up! Definitely Dahlia Convention Gifts!

Stampin’ Up! Definitely Dahlia Convention Gifts!

Hey there. Today I want to show you the gifts I gave my team members that attended convention with me. I purchased a Double Duty Caddy for each, then added a personalized tag. These bags make great card swapping bags:

Stampin_up_definitely_dahlia_1

Are you surprised that I used the Definitely Dahlia background stamp for my tags? I stamped them with Calypso Coral ink on the Whisper White. This one is for one of my first level team members, Joanne Cantrell.

Stampin_up_definitely_dahlia_2

I curved all the corners with the corner rounder punch on the Envelope Punch Board. This one is for my second level team member, Martha Swift.

Stampin_up_definitely_dahlia_3

I cut the initials with the Little Letters Framelits Dies.

Stampin_up_definitely_dahlia_4

Of course I made one for myself too. I tied each tag to the caddy with a length of 3/8" Whisper White Striped Satin ribbon.

Stampin_up_definitely_dahlia_6

The regular handheld punches would not cut through the 3 layers of the tag, so I ended up using the flower framelit from the Baby's First Framelit Dies. As long as I made sure there wasn't any adhesive under the area I wanted to cut the framelit cut through the three layers like butter!

Stampin_up_definitely_dahlia_7

I finished off the centers with a 7/8" Scallop Circle punched from White Corrugated Paper and a Silver-Rimmed Pearl.

I made one with a Calypso Coral box base and one with Basic Black. I used Pretty Petals Designer Paper from the stack on both because of the many coordinating designs. I love this paper!

The box measures 4 18" x 2 1/8" s 2 5/8" when finished.

The dies to cut the two layers of tags are included in this set of 9 dies.

"FOR YOU" is also from Honeycomb Hello. I tied the box closed and added the tags with Basic Black Baker's Twine.

That's it! I'm taking these boxes, and the supplies to make them, to a "Girls Night" at my friend Cindy's house tonight. It's a night to snack, stamp, and visit with a few girlfriends. Stampin’ Up! Stamper’s Dozen Blog Hop June Edition Bold & Bright

Stampin’ Up! Stamper’s Dozen Blog Hop June Edition Bold & Bright

Hey there! It's time for the Stamper's Dozen Blog Hop again! This month's theme is "Bold & Bright" and my "partners-in-crime", AKA fellow-stamper's-dozen-blog-hop creators, have hit it out of the ballpark this month! If  you're already on the hop, you've just come from Stella MacKay's Stellar Stamps! Didn't you just LOVE Stella's Definitely Dahila card?

With stamping time in short supply, I decided to pull out the "All Boxed Up Kit" from the new catalog. Paired with the  "All Boxed Up" stamp set, these came together in a snap!

Stampin_up_all_boxed_up_2 - Copy

The kit includes pre-cut, pre-scored, AND pre-adhesived boxes, circle tags, printed banners, gold foil stickers, baker's twine, pompom trim, and clothespins to make TEN boxes, all for only $14. Quite a deal!

I stamped on the circle tags with phrases from the All Boxed Up stamp set using Bermuda Bay and Watermelon Wonder Stampin' Write Markers.

Stampin_up_all_boxed_up_4 - Copy

There are LOADS of gold foil stickers included in the kit!

Stampin_up_all_boxed_up_5 - Copy

I can see LOTS of uses for the phrases in this set for more than just treat boxes. (You know I'm a card-making girl at heart!)

Stampin_up_all_boxed_up_6 - Copy

These little cutie pies are the perfect size for so many treats and little thoughtful gifts!

That's all from me today. I am listing the supplies below. It's actually a really SHORT list since the kit pretty much contains everything you need! You can find it all in my online store: www.carolpayne.stampinup.net

Stampin’ Up! In Color Zoo Babies!

Stampin’ Up! In Color Zoo Babies!

Hey there! Sunday I attended a baby shower. Typical for me prepped the gift just before I walked out the door. I keep solid-color gift bags on hand so I can use them for any event, then add a card to the front to make it special:

Stampin_up_zoo_babies_5 - Copy

I used Zoo Babies stamps and new 2015-2017 In Color inks to create this card in a jiffy!

Stampin_up_zoo_babies_1 - Copy

Delightful Dijon makes a perfect giraffe and will be awesome with fall leaves! Tip Top Taupe for the elephant, Cucumber Crush for the alligator and a splash of Watermelon Wonder for the bird. The greeting, "a gift for baby" is also in the set, which saved me A LOT of time!

Stampin_up_zoo_babies_3 - Copy

I cut out this fun group with Circles Collection Framelits.

I used new Cherry On Top Designer Series Paper for the background, and a Bermuda Bay card base.

Inside the "congratulations" is also included in the set.

Stampin_up_zoo_babies_2 - Copy

I attached a Medium Clear Envelope to the front of the inexpensive gift bag with Stampin' Dimensionals. A card and an embellishment all in one! yay!

Stampin’ Up! An Open Heart Tag

Stampin’ Up! An Open Heart Tag

Hey there! Yesterday I realized I hadn't shown you the gift they gave me for speaking at Spring Into Stamping last Saturday:

Stampin_up_an_open_heart_1

I love the Open Heart stamp set. It's one that has been on my "wishlist" for months but I've never gotten around to ordering it. HOW DID THEY KNOW?!

Stampin_up_an_open_heart_2

The creator of this tag added subtle but perfect little details: the circle of Linen Thread for the "nest" and the Essentials Wooden Element heart for the "eggs". Both the bird and the Thank You banner are fussy-cut with Paper Snips.

Although I did not create this tag, I'm definitely CASEing it!

Want to create some tags like this? You can ordering everything in my online store:

Here's your shopping list:

Stampin’ Up! One of a Kind Wedding Shower!

Stampin’ Up! One of a Kind Wedding Shower!

Hey there! I know I’ve been mentioning the wedding shower we were throwing for a good family friend, and yesterday was the day! I have a few pictures to share of the day, including the decorations I was able to create using my Stampin’ Up! stuff!

First, let me say that while I did have a few ideas for decorating when the bride-to-be told me her wedding theme was “teal, red, burlap, & lace”, when we received the wedding invitation, my creativity was instantly sparked!

The invitation
How cute is this? !! The bride wanted to keep it simple, so here’s what I came up with:

The tables

I painted the pint-sized Ball Mason jars first with a coat of tan acrylic paint, let it dry for awhile, then added a lightly-brushed on coat of a sort-of Pool Party blue. We had runners of burlap left over from Alisa’s baby shower almost two years ago (her theme was “Toys From Her Childhood”), then we added the Pool Party Mason Jars and scattered Cherry Cobbler blooms that we had punched with the Pansy Punch and the Petite Petals Punch.

The layered blooms

Both blooms were curled slightly with a bone folder and then held together with a glue dot. Each of the two-layer blooms had a Pearl Basic Jewel in the center.

The jar candle

Each jar had a battery tea-light inside, and we added a heart punched with the Sweetheart Punch from Crumb Cake card stock that had been white heat-embossed with the Something Lacy Background. A little bit of Linen Thread was tied around the top of the jar, but the heart was actually attached with a Stampin’ Dimensional.

Stampin_up_something_lacy

I also painted a few quart jars and adhered hearts embossed with the same Something Lacy background cut with one of the Hearts Collection Framelits Dies (which are the Weekly Deals at 25% off through the end of today)

I sent a picture of the invitation to Rhonda McLearin, the lady  who makes our shower cakes. She coordinated the cake with everything else perfectly!

The shower cake
Overall I was very happy with the way all of it came together. I loved the rustic look of the painted canning jars and the colors turned out to be much softer than I originally anticipated.

Have a big event to plan, invite, or decorate? Here’s the link to shop in my online store:

And here are the current Weekly Deals, which expire tonight! (if you don’t want anything from this list, just wait till Tuesday. Stampin’ Up! puts out a fresh batch of Weekly Deals every Tuesday morning!)
