Stampin’ Up! Cottage Garden Thank-You!

Stampin’ Up! Cottage Garden Thank-You!

Hey there! Today I need to show you the thank-you cards I made for the sweet mommy at our church who is having twins! I like to help a new mommy by making her a stack of thank-you cards, then hand out the envelopes at the shower so the guests can write their name and address on them for her.

I kept the design simple,so I started with the adorable "thank you" from the Cottage Greetings set. I cut a tie from Sweet Lil' Things Designer Paper using a Baby's First Framelit, and then cut a girly little bow from the same paper with a Handpicked Framelit and added the tiniest pearl to the bow center:

Stampin_up_cottage_garden_1 - Copy

One thing when you are combining stamping and embossing, you MUST stamp the words first BEFORE you run the paper through the Big Shot, which is what I did before embossing with the Decorative Dots folder. (wanna know how I know this????? lol!)

These cards came together very quickly, just in time to tuck into the rest of the gift!

You can order the supplies to make your own special baby thank-you's from my online store: www.carolpayne.stampinup.net

Stampin’ Up! Grand Vacation Achiever’s Blog Hop Seeing 3-D!

Stampin’ Up! Grand Vacation Achiever’s Blog Hop Seeing 3-D!

Hey there! It's time for the Grand Vacation Achiever's Blog Hop! This month our theme is Seeing 3D. We're sure you'll find incredible inspiration from the projects you are about to see!

You may just be starting the blog hop here at my blog – Carol Payne Stamps, or may have come from the person previous to me in the list. If you get off track at any time, the full lineup below will help you move along from blog to blog.

GV Blog Header

For the "3-D" theme I created an easel calendar with a masculine theme. I used The "Going Global" product suite, perfect to create an easel post-it note calendar for a guy's desk:

Stampin_up_going_global_1 - Copy

This calendar folds  flat to fit into a custom envelope or box created with the Envelope Punch Board.

Stampin_up_going_global_2 - Copy

I used Basic Black and Delightful Dijon, two colors from the Going Places Designer Series Paper. My husband is a self-taught astronomer, so I think he would love this constellation design!

Stampin_up_going_global_3 - Copy

The black map behind the calendar was embossed with the World Traveler Textured Impressions Embossing Folder. I sponged lightly with Whisper White Craft ink to bring out the design.

"I thank my lucky stars for you" was heat-embossed with gold powder and punched with a 1" Circle Punch. I used the 2" Circle Punch for the globe and the Washi Label Punch for the sentiment.

Stampin’ Up! Stamper’s Dozen Blog Hop August Edition Babies, Babies, Babies!

Stampin’ Up! Stamper’s Dozen Blog Hop August Edition Babies, Babies, Babies!

Hey there! It's Stamper's Dozen Blog Hop day! yay!

1723402_10152213035905070_85588169_n

If you're already hoppin', you've probably come from Stella MacKay's blog, Stellar Stamps. I love, love, love, her creations!

I'm so excited to share the baby card I created last month for my niece's shower, using Made with Love. I used it last month for Christmas in July. See it again HERE.

Stampin_up_made_with_love_1 - Copy I started with 5 1/2" x 12" Sahara Sand base, scoring at 3", 6", and 9" for a Screen Card.

Stampin_up_made_with_love_3 - Copy

I the screen "legs" with the Decorative Label. After finding the right depth to punch, I marked with a Sharpie so I could repeat. I lined up the punch edges on the fold lines. The punch is about 3" wide!

Stampin_up_made_with_love_2 - Copy

I punched the top with the Hearts Border Punch. Rose Red cardstock and the baby blossom print from the English Garden paper set the baby-girl theme. I stamped the onesie, cutting with a Baby's First Framelit die.

Stampin_up_made_with_love_5 - Copy

Layered punches framed the baby animal images. I colored with my Pink Pirouette marker and/or White Stampin' Chalk Marker.

Stampin_up_made_with_love_6 - Copy

Tiny Confetti Hearts and the tiniest pearls added extra feminine touches.

Stampin_up_made_with_love_7 - Copy

I had to add the tiny baby bird! I cut the sentiment with the banner from the Gift Card Envelope and Trims Framelits.

Stampin_up_made_with_love_8 - Copy

The final back panel to add my good wishes!

Stampin_up_made_with_love_16
A special card (and bulky when folded) needs a special envelope! I made one with English Garden paper and Envelope Punch Board. This card was hand-delivered, of course!

Stampin_up_made_with_love_10 - Copy

I created a tag  with the Sweetheart Punch and the slightly larger heart from the Mini Treat Bag Thinlets Dies.

Stampin’ Up! Definitely Dahlia Convention Gifts!

Stampin’ Up! Definitely Dahlia Convention Gifts!

Hey there. Today I want to show you the gifts I gave my team members that attended convention with me. I purchased a Double Duty Caddy for each, then added a personalized tag. These bags make great card swapping bags:

Stampin_up_definitely_dahlia_1

Are you surprised that I used the Definitely Dahlia background stamp for my tags? I stamped them with Calypso Coral ink on the Whisper White. This one is for one of my first level team members, Joanne Cantrell.

Stampin_up_definitely_dahlia_2

I curved all the corners with the corner rounder punch on the Envelope Punch Board. This one is for my second level team member, Martha Swift.

Stampin_up_definitely_dahlia_3

I cut the initials with the Little Letters Framelits Dies.

Stampin_up_definitely_dahlia_4

Of course I made one for myself too. I tied each tag to the caddy with a length of 3/8" Whisper White Striped Satin ribbon.

Stampin_up_definitely_dahlia_6

The regular handheld punches would not cut through the 3 layers of the tag, so I ended up using the flower framelit from the Baby's First Framelit Dies. As long as I made sure there wasn't any adhesive under the area I wanted to cut the framelit cut through the three layers like butter!

Stampin_up_definitely_dahlia_7

I finished off the centers with a 7/8" Scallop Circle punched from White Corrugated Paper and a Silver-Rimmed Pearl.
