Stampin’ Up! Dragonfly Dreams Class!

Hey there! Here's the Dragonfly Dreams class for next week!

We'll make these 5 cards for $15 or free with a $40 product order. If you want to attend, please RSVP to me ASAP so I can get you on my list!

Today's card features Definitely Dahlia background with Dragonfly Dreams!

I used Timeless Textures to stamp a cross-hatch background. I have a new point-and-shoot camera, but it didn't have an instruction manual, so I'm guessing as I go along. These pics seem almost blown-out and it has focus issues. That's what I get for buying a camera hanging on a peg in Walmart!

Soft Sky, Basic Black, and Very Vanilla. A Falling in Love Embellishment (retiring) adorns the dahlia's center.

The pic of the inside was taken with my "old reliable" camera. While the new camera seems to take a sharper pic (when it DOES focus correctly), the old camera seems to take "warmer" pics. Waddaya think?

Stampin’ Up! So Very Much!

Hey there! A couple of weeks ago a Facebook friend posted this beautiful bouquet:

I was inspired to use Sweet Sugarplum, Rich Razzleberry, and Whisper White with Definitely Dahlia and So Very Much Sale-a-bration to create this for my January ordering thank-you:

I inked the dahlia stamp first with Versamark ink, then used a sponge dauber to add Rich Razzleberry ink to just the center before stamping and embossing on Whisper White:

I really like the look of the clear heat embossing of the dahlia. It seals the color but you can still see the petals!

For this one I used the same inking/heat embossing technique, but then sponged extra Rich Razzleberry ink. I don't like this look nearly as well, do you?

Inside I applied the same technique using a Petite Petals image:

On the less-liked card I stamped the same image once with full-strength ink, then moved the stamp just a bit to stamp again without re-inking:

Stampin’ Up! Mixed Borders!

Hey there! Today's card is another with the Bleach Technique. I love it when I'm playing with a technique and the ideas just keep rollin'!

For today's card I started by bleach stamping Soft Sky card stock with Touches of Texture stamps to get a Very Vanilla color. After the bleach finished developing and dried, I stamped the Definitely Dahlia Background with Versamark in the upper right corner.

I used the new Mixed Borders to stamp the Very Vanilla greeting banner that I had punched with the Banner Triple Punch. I used Basic Black Archival ink for the leaves, then stamped the greeting with Pool Party. The Mixed Borders set leaves a space within the border so you can stamp the words in it! I tied a bit of new Basic Black Solid Baker's Twine around the banner in a knot.

Hopefully you can see the Versamark-stamped Definitely Dahlia better in this picture:

Inside I stamped the dahlia again with Pool Party and used a Basic Black Stampin' Write Marker to ink up just part of a stamp from One Big Meaning.

Stampin’ Up! Santa’s Workshop Project!

Hey there! Our plans for the Thanksgiving holidays are different than our usual, so I decided to schedule a Santa's Workshop! I will have several different projects available to make, including the project I'm sharing with you today.

Santa's Workshop will be held at my house on Friday, November 27 from 2-8 p.m. with doors opening at 2 p.m. If you want to fight the crowds to shop Black Friday you can do that in the morning, and then come stamp with me in the afternoon! Just let me know if you want to attend! I will be showing more Santa's Workshop projects, which will include tags, gift card holders, and an Desktop Easel Calendar, soon!

Project #1 for Santa's Workshop will be a set of 12 Notecards with envelopes and a cute box to keep/give them in, all for $13!

We will be stamping the Definitely Dahlia on a Whisper White layer with Watermelon Wonder, Lost Lagoon, Mint Macaron, and Blackberry Bliss. We will be stamping an assortment of greetings using the Tin of Cards set, and finishing them off with an Iced Rhinestone!

Stampin’ Up! Definitely Dahlia Convention Gifts!

Hey there. Today I want to show you the gifts I gave my team members that attended convention with me. I purchased a Double Duty Caddy for each, then added a personalized tag. These bags make great card swapping bags:

Are you surprised that I used the Definitely Dahlia background stamp for my tags? I stamped them with Calypso Coral ink on the Whisper White. This one is for one of my first level team members, Joanne Cantrell.

I curved all the corners with the corner rounder punch on the Envelope Punch Board. This one is for my second level team member, Martha Swift.

I cut the initials with the Little Letters Framelits Dies.

Of course I made one for myself too. I tied each tag to the caddy with a length of 3/8" Whisper White Striped Satin ribbon.

The regular handheld punches would not cut through the 3 layers of the tag, so I ended up using the flower framelit from the Baby's First Framelit Dies. As long as I made sure there wasn't any adhesive under the area I wanted to cut the framelit cut through the three layers like butter!

I finished off the centers with a 7/8" Scallop Circle punched from White Corrugated Paper and a Silver-Rimmed Pearl.

Stampin’ Up! Definitely Dahlia Runner-Up!

Hey there! I was planning to wrap up my Definitely Dahlia posts yesterday, but then I remembered I had "one more" card to share with you. This card was the predecessor to yesterdays' Blackberry Bliss Definitely Dahlia card:

For all practical purposes it is almost the same card as the one I ended up choosing for the July Online Class, with the exception I did not sponge the dahlia with Blackberry Bliss ink before stamping and the "splatters" from Gorgeous Grunge are stamped with Crumb Cake instead of Blackberry Bliss.

I "maybe" also went a little overboard with the Gold Sequins, lol!

Inside is similar too:

I put my strip of Farmers Market Designer Paper directly under the sentiment from Fabulous Four, leaving the rest of the layer to write a personal note.
