Stampin’Up! Flower Fair Simply Scrappin’ Kit Cards Part 3!

Good Morning! Hope you have your taxes done by now! I'm happy to say ours are out of the way! Yay!

Today I have the next two cards from my Flower Fair Simply Scrappin' Kit Card Class to share with you.

Note: all supplies used are ©Stampin'Up!™1990-2013

Card 4 a

We used words from Friendly Phrases, and added a tiny little strip of one of the self-adhesive diecuts included in the Flower Fair Simply Scrappin' Kit on the tag. Those strips are so cute!

Card 4 b

Inside we used the Just Thinking single wood-mount stamp from the Occasions Catalog. We inked it with Regal Rose, Tangeine Tango, and Garden Green Stampin' Write Markers.

Card 6 a

Card #6 in this set has one of the verses from the Make a Wish stamp set, which is one of my favs from the Occasions Catalog! Another self-adhesive die-cut strip has been added over the Square Lattice-embossed Daffodil Delight strip.

Card 6 b
We also stamped one of my favorite verses from the You Are Loved set. Basic Jewel Rhinestones finish off the Bitty Butterflies perfectly!

That's it for now! Come back tomorrow to see the final two cards from this class!

Until tomorrow, ahve a Stampingrox! day!

Stampin’Up! Tea For Two!

Stampin’Up! Tea For Two!

Attention! We are interrupting our regularly scheduled program of Christmas cards to show you this:
Tea 1
©Stampin'Up!™1990-2012

Stinkin', awesome, cute, yes? I was trying to start on January classes and workshops, trying to get a bit ahead of the game, and was just not feeling any inspiration, so I decided to so some internet browsing. When I checked out Pinterest and found this darling little teapot, my imagination just took off! I owe a BIG thank you to Ellen Kemper, the original creator of this teapot, and for her brief but adequate illustration of how it is achieved! This card will be one of our punch projects for January, so I won't give you the directions for the teapot until after my classes are over, but I can tell you that most of the teapot is made with the Blossom Petals Builder Punch, unbelievable!

Unfortunately, Ellen is no longer a Stampin' Up! demonstrator and has not been creating with punches for some time now, but I hope she takes up her passion sometime again in the future! She is a great punch artist!

I will show you the inside of the card before I give you some details:

Tea 2
©Stampin'Up!™1990-2012

The designer paper used on the card front and for the teapot is called "Tea for Two" and will be available on January 3rd in the new Occasions Catalog! The embossing folder used on the Pool Party layer is called Vine Street and will be free with a $50 order beginning on January 22nd, the first day of Sale-a-bration!

See that strip of that's sort of  burlap-y looking? That's Natural 7/16" Trim Ribbon, also from the Occasions Catalog! I did a lot of sponging on this card with Crumb Cake ink, but I didn't have to sponge the ribbon, it comes that way-looking all grungy and vintage!

The "love" word is from Lovely Little Labels in the Annual Catalog, punched out with one of the Little Labels Pack punches.

Seems like I can't make a punch project without using the Owl Builder punch, and this one is no exception! Can you tell which parts of the teapot are punched with the Owl?

The inside flower and words are from You Are Loved, which is one of my favorite sets because of the great words in it! I colored the flower and stems with Calypso Coral and Lucky Limeade Stampin' Write markers, stamped off once on my grid sheet, huffed on the ink to re-moisten, then stamped on the lower corner of the layer to achieve the soft, gentle look.

That's all for today! I'm still working with new Occasions and SAB goodies I received in my pre-order last week! That's just ONE of the perks of being a Stampin' Up! demonstrator!

Until tomorrow, have a Stampingrox! day!

A few more swaps!

A few more swaps!

Just a couple more days, and you will have seen all my swaps from November! THEN I have some fun surprises for you, so keep watching!

This first one is an elegant "faux tile" sample using "Creative Elements" by Brenda Hukriede. Crumb Cake has become such popular neutral, I love having this option besides white and vanilla! The sentiment is from "Delightful Dozen".

Brenda hukriede

This next one is a very masculine one using the "In Wilderness" stamp set and "Well Worn" Designer Paper. Katy Simecka is the creator of this one!

Katy simecka

Sharon House scored Vellum cardstock with the Simply Scoring Tool to achieve this formal, elegant look! She stamped the "love" with the label stamp from "You are Loved" and punched it out with the Decorative Label Punch. The addition of the brads from the Neutrals Brads Collection and the Victoria Crochet Trim are the pefect finishing touches!

Valentine swap cards!

Valentine swap cards!

Since the theme of this month's swap could be anything as long as we used the Simply Scoring Tool, I received these three lovely Valentines. Even though it's not Christmas yet, before we know it the New Year will be here and it will be time to need a card to send to our loved ones!

This first one is by Kathy Morgan, and features the "Greeting Card Kids" set and Silver Glimmer Paper! I love how Kathy used the Simply Scored to accent the white space!

Rene Watson used the "Stripes" Textured Impressions Folder to co-ordinate with the vertical scored lines on this simple punched Valentine with the "Full Heart" punch in Red Glimmer paper and phrase from the "With All My Heart" stamp set! Great job!

Rhonda Bassler used the soon-to-be-going-away-maybe-forever Holiday Mini set, "You Are Loved"! She used the Simply Scored to do the "faux tile" technique on the "happy valentines" section, and then scored vertical lines on the punched Extra Large Oval behind the "love" punched large oval!
