Stampin’ Up! Bombs Away Birthday & My Crazy Friday!

Stampin’ Up! Bombs Away Birthday & My Crazy Friday!

Happy late Saturday Morning! Whew! Yesterday really wore me out! It was one of those days where everything happens on top of each other so you feel like you are in six places at once, but it was ALL GOOD and I feel SO BLESSED!!!!

I will just give you a quick run-down of my day:

8 a.m. I leave my house to drive the 21 minutes to Kimberly's to pick up my grandson, Liam. On the way home we make a quick trip around Kroger to pick up some groceries and get gas. Liam has discovered there IS such a thing as a strange face, so bursts into hysterical tears when only 3 feet away from me down the check-out line.

10 a.m. We get home and Ben helps me bring in all my groceries and Liam. Mark comes home and I put Liam down for his morning nap while I get a shower.

11:30 a.m. Jessica drops off Cohen & Jaxon so she can run some errands in Mt Vernon. I fix lunch.

12:45 p.m. Liam gets up from his nap and Jaxon goes down for his nap at 1. They use the same pack-n-play, of course, so the bed barely gets cold in between!

1:15 p.m. Liam and I head back to Mt Vernon to meet Jessica for pedicures. Like me, Jessica is so busy with her photography business she rarely gets a moment to enjoy a little perk like this.

3:00 p.m. Liam, Jessica & I meet Alisa & Cody, Cody's Mom Diane, and Kimberly at Alisa's dr. We all get to watch the 4-D sonogram of Alisa & Cody's coming baby boy, Oakley!

4:00 p.m. I arrive back home minus Liam, who stayed with his mom of course, to pack up to go to the Honduras Fundraiser.

5:00 p.m. My dear Downline, Linda Reaney, arrives with her granddaughter, Brooklyn, to ride back up to Mt Vernon with me to the Fundraiser.

11 p.m. Arrive back home from the Fundraiser!

Can you see why it's taken me until late morning to get around to blogging?????

Here's some pictures of my day (I'm amazed I had time to think to take any pictures! I wish I had taken more!)

Aunt Jessica & Liam at the pedicure!

We saw a bear!

We saw a bear!

Another fun thing that happened on our trip up the White Pass Trail by bus was we got to see a real live bear!

Bear

He wasn't a very big bear, probably a half-grown cub from last year, but he was a black bear our bus driver told us. This little guy was right beside the edge of the road foraging for food. Our bus stopped right beside him so we could take pictures of him and he continued to eat and look around as if we weren't even there! So sorry this picture is blurry, it was pretty cold outside so the window were cold and so my breath kept fogging it up! But we were excited, especially since earlier in the trip someone had asked the driver if we would see any bears and he wasn't too hopeful about it at all!

It just so happens I participated in a 6×6 Alaskan Cruise scrapbook page swap before the cruise and this was my page made with punches and the "Plant Hope" & "Word Play" stamp sets! I gave this one to Stampin' Up! and they put it on display in the Hospitality Room along with all the other swaps!

So there you are! More VBS tonight, so I have lots to do, as well as prepare for the Medallion Tile Class this weekend AND a yard sale at my house! I'm getting tired just thinking about it!

Until tomorrow, have a "Stampingrox!" day!

Valentine Week Concludes!

Valentine Week Concludes!

Lots of fun valentine samples to squeeze in here today, so let's get started!

The top left valentine uses "Valentine Defined" again, while the "Full Heart/Scalloped Heart of Hearts" card on the right almost disappears into the background, but would be striking off the board! The bottom left uses "Love Impressions" Specialty Designer Paper, along with Red Glimmer Paper and the Heart to Heart Punch.

Valentines 16
©Stampin'Up!™1990-2011

The bottom left card uses "Springtime Vintage" Designer Paper, "Be My Valentine", and "Framed Tulips" Textured Impressions Folder, all from the Occasions Mini, and the top right was made with "Greeting Card Kids", "First Edition" Designer Paper, and Basic Black 1 1/4" Grosgrain ribbon!

Valentines 24
©Stampin'Up!™1990-2011

These next two cards both use "I (Heart) Hearts" from page 46 of the Idea Book & Catalog!

Valentines 25
©Stampin'Up!™1990-2011

This card uses the "XOXO" stamp set, "Love Impressions" Specialty Designer Paper, and Red Glimmer Paper, all from the Occasions Mini!

Valentines 31
©Stampin'Up!™1990-2011

THIS sample I know the creator, my good friend, Meg Wheeler! She used "Love Letter" Designer Paper (pg 173 of the IB &C)with Real Red 1/8" Taffeta ribbon and Vanilla Rosettes from the Occasions Mini! This would make a perfect little co-worker or teacher gift!

Valentines 29
©Stampin'Up!™1990-2011

Traditional valentine here! This one uses the "Delight in Gladness" & "Pleasing Polka Dots" Builder wheels from pg 23 of the Occasions Mini along with Full Hearts and Red Glimmer Paper!

Valentines 30
©Stampin'Up!™1990-2011

And lastly, this card could fit many occasions, not just Valentine's Day! The brackets and heart are cut from the "Hearts & Brackets" Originals Die on page 213 of the IB & C, and "You're in MY thoughts, you're in my heart" is from Word Play, on page 147!

Valentines 33
©Stampin'Up!™1990-2011

Well, Valentine week is now over, and I'm a little sad, I've enjoyed collecting up all these fun valentine samples to show you every day. But don't worry, I'll be back next week with more fun stuff to show you!

Have a great weekend, get your fingers inky, (tonight I have my Punch Class/Club ladies coming!) and have a "Stampingrox!" day!
