Stampin Up! Creations by Yes, Mam! Angela Henson!

Are you wondering why I am featuring another one of my downline, the "Yes, Mam! Stampers", on my blog again today? With the Join Stampin' Up! for $25 Starter Kit getting ready to expire next Monday, I wanted to share with you how much I love my downline girls! They are an awesome group of ladies who love to stamp and love sharing Stampin' Up!

Angela Henson is one awesome lady! She's a Physician's Assistant by day, and a Stampin' Up! demo nights & weekends! This just shows you don't have to have oodles of time on your hands to enjoy this passion!

Here are a couple of Angela's recent creations:

Angela used Pool Party and Whisper White cardstock with Pool Party and Encore Metallic Silver ink to create this gorgeous card using the Festive Flurry stamps and framelits bundle and a greeting from Sweet Essentials! She accented with Rhinestone jewels and 1/8" Silver ribbon!

She left the inside blank for a personal message, but I love the way she used the same stamps and inks to bring the outside and the inside of the card to complement each other!

For her second creation, Angela used the same Festive Flurry stamp set, but with a Midnight Muse, Whisper White and Silver combo. She addded some Silver Glimmer paper punched with the Scallop Trim Border Punch, 1/8" Silver Ribbon, Rhinestones, and a greeting from the Wishing You stamp set punched with the Decorative Label Punch!

So many of our stamp sets have two phrase stamps that complement each other, which is the case with Wishing You. Angela finished off the inside of ther card with Encore Metallic Silver-stamped snowflakes and the coresponding Wishing You phrase!

Stampin’ Up! Wildflower Meadow from Fiji!

Stampin’ Up! Wildflower Meadow from Fiji!

Good morning! Hope you have a happy day ahead! I am looking forward to my day. I get to spend a good chunk of it with Alisa. We have a little baby-Oakley shopping trip planned for today! I can't wait!

We received the Wildflower Meadow stamp set in Fiji in addition to Kind & Cozy, so there were several samples on the board with this set too!

Crumb Cake is a perfect card base to white heat-emboss the entire Wildflower Meadow image on! The "THANKS SO MUCH" phrase is from the carried-over stamp set, Oh Hello!

Stampin' Write Markers add the color need to achieve this almost-watercolored look! Some Gingham Garden Washi Tape and a marker-inked partial "with love" from Kind & Cozy are all this card needs!

White heat-embossed again, but this time on Daffodil Delight creates an adorable little 4" x 4" square card.  A tiny banner of Gingham Garden Designer Paper and a Linen Thread bow offset the "so kind of you" from Sweet Essentials. Perfect!

Last-but-not-least, Wildflower Meadow was stamped on a Tea Lace Doily with Daffodil Delight ink again, with a background of Gingham Garden Designer Paper and splash-stamping with Gorgeous Grunge. The greeting is from Blessings from Heaven, and there's a little strip of Gingham Garden Washi Tape peeking out from behind the Linen Thread and Vintage Faceted Button!

Stampin’ Up! Square Lattice-Lattice Butterflies, An All-Occasion Card!

Good Morning! I have another project for you today from my "SWOW" Class this afternoon, a card made with the Lattice Bigz Die, Window Frame Framelits, Square Lattice Textured Impressions Folder, Papillon Potpourri stamps, Bitty Butterfly Punch, and one of the "Grab Your Greetings 25% Off" sets this month, Sweet Essentials!

I CASED this card from Rachel Tessman, who CASED it from a recent swap she received. CASEing (Copy And Share Everything) is a GOOD thing in the stamping world! Of course, I changed and added a few things of my own, such as the use of the Square Lattice folder, adding the "congratulations" word and banner, and using the Lattice Bigz Die inside the window.

Here's another version, with the Whisper White/Wild Wasabi layers flipped:

This version uses the Little Leaves Sizzlet to cut the leafy branches inside the window, and instead of another layer of Wild Wasabi under the "congratulations" banner I added a tiny bow of Wild Wasabi 1/4" Stitched Grosgrain ribbon! I also added a larger butterfly with the same stamp set and the Elegant Butterfly Punch.

The inside is where the All-Occasion part comes in! We are going to stamp the word "happy" from Memorable Moments on the Whisper White layer inside the card, then we are going to stamp the word "birthday" and "anniversary" on Whisper White scraps and punch out with the Large Oval Punch, then layer onto Wild Wasabi-punched Scallop Ovals. These will have Stampin' Dimensionals attached but the final protective paper cover not removed until it's time for the card to be given, either as a birthday or anniversary card!

And here's a paper-saving butterfly tip! When you have a small amount of paper but need to stamp more butterflies, punch every other butterfly facing the opposite direction as shown below. You can squeeze more butteflies into a small space this way and still have room to punch them out! Easy-Peasy!

Well, today is the last day I am keeping Liam this school year. I love that little guy, he's my favorite Liam in all the world! Summer break starts next week, so he will be with his mommy everyday, much to her delight, but I will be back with him starting sometime in mid-august! Right now he is still army-crawling and cruising around the couch, but by august he will probably be walking, even running! I'll get to see him frequently during the summer, so it's all good!
