Stampin’ Up! Swirly Bird Christmas!

Stampin’ Up! Swirly Bird Christmas!

Hey there! Some of the cards we're making at Christmas in July are created with non-Christmas sets. I created today's card with the Swirly Bird set and Celebrations Duo Textured Impressions Embossing Folder:

Stampin_up_swirly_bird_christmas_carolpaynestamps1

Starting with a Wild Wasabi card base, I embossed the lower portion of a 4" x 5 1/4" Crumb Cake layer with a Celebrations Duo Textured Impressions folder, followed by a 2" x 5 1/4" strip of Wood Textures Designer Paper.

I cut a Wild Wasabi "wreath" with a Swirly Scribbles Thinlet, adding a bow tied with Gold 3/8" Metallic-Edge Ribbon and a few loops of thread pulled from a 6" piece of 5/8" Burlap Ribbon. I stamped a Real Red Swirly Bird "cardinal" on Real Red card stock, then hand-cut with a single pearl eye.

Stampin_up_swirly_bird_christmas_carolpaynestamps2

LOVE the tone-on-tone "HAPPY"!

Stampin_up_swirly_bird_christmas_carolpaynestamps3

I used a Real Red Stampin Write Marker to ink  "CHRISTMAS" from the Better Together greeting, adding a tiny Heart & Stars Elements star with a thin layer of Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

Stampin’ Up! Minnie Mouse for Darcy!

Stampin’ Up! Minnie Mouse for Darcy!

Hey there! Today I'm sharing the 3" x 3" gift card I created for the uncles to give Darcy their gift money. In addition to Peppa Pig, she also love Minnie Mouse, so I created these little cards with miniature Minnies on them!

Stampinupswirlyscribblescarolpaynestamps2

I used Pop of Pink Specialty Designer Paper again for this one, as well as Swirly Scribbles Thinlets to create Minnie! I used the largest Swirly Scribble Thinlet for her "face", then cut off the leaves from the medium-sized swirly for her "ears"!

Stampinupswirlyscribblescarolpaynestamps5

Labeler Alphabet is a must have! I've used it over and over to create any word, name, or phrase I need, and it fits perfectly in the Classic Label Punch!

Stampinupswirlyscribblescarolpaynestamps4

To stamp "MINNIE" I put each letter in a different corner of the same clear stampin' block!

Stampinuplabeleralphabetcarolpaynestamps

I stamped the inside with a greeting from Birthday Blooms and added Melon Mambo hearts stamped with Perpetual Birthday Calendar!

Stampin’ Up! Mediterranean Achiever’s Blog Hop Thankfulness!

Stampin’ Up! Mediterranean Achiever’s Blog Hop Thankfulness!

GV Blog Header

Hey there!  Welcome to the Mediterranean Achiever's Blog Hop! This month's theme is Thankfulness!

Edited 9/28/16: If you came here yesterday evening or earlier today, my post was unfinished (with NO PHOTOS!) My computer went on the fritz before I could complete my post. It  took my son almost ALL DAY to get it up and running again! SO SORRY!

You may just be starting the blog hop here at Carol Payne Stamps, or may have come from the person previous to me in the list. If you get off track at any time, the full lineup below will help you move along from blog to blog so you see all the projects. At the moment you are visiting Carol Payne.

For my thankful project I combined Paisley & Posies  with  Hardwood Background and Swirly Scribbles Thinlets:

Stampin_up_hardwood_paisleys_posies_carolpaynestamps7

I stamped Crumb Cake  with Hardwood with Crumb Cake ink.  I cut Pumpkin Pie Glimmer Paper with a Swirly Scribbles Thinlet to create my "pumpkin". The leaves are cut with Swirly Scribbles.

Stampin_up_hardwood_paisleys_posies_carolpaynestamps8

I punched one end of  7/8" x 3" Very Vanilla with the Scallop Tag Topper Punch, then stamped "THANKFUL * GRATEFUL BLESSED"  from Paisleys & Posies. Very Vanilla 1/2" Lace Trim and Halloween Night Baker's Twine add finishing touches.

Stampin_up_hardwood_paisleys_posies_carolpaynestamps9

Inside I used Happy Happenings sentiments. I cut the smaller pumpkin from the Pumpkin Pie Glimmer that was removed when I cut the large pumpkin for the front. I gently peeled the plastic backing off the glimmer paper before cutting it with the thinlets.

Thanks for taking part in our blog hop, there are so many amazing ideas and inspiration you don't want to miss. Remember that currently you are at my blog – Carol Payne, so check the blog hop line up list to see who is next!

Stampin’ Up! Stamper’s Dozen Blog Hop June Edition, Patriotic!

Stampin’ Up! Stamper’s Dozen Blog Hop June Edition, Patriotic!

Hey there! It's time for the Stamper's Dozen Blog Hop! yay! Our theme for June is Patriotic, and we have some absolutely fabulous projects to share with you this month!

1723402_10152213035905070_85588169_n

Stella MacKay is still on an extended vacation in Europe after the Stampin' Up! Incentive Trip to the Mediterranean, so if you are already on the hop you've probably come from Laura Milligan's blog, I'd Rather "Bee" Stampin'! If at any time you get off course or one of our links doesn't work, just refer to the blog hop list at the bottom of this post and you can keep going!

For my Patriotic Project I used the Stars Framelits, Swirly Scribbles Thinlets,  Labeler Alphabet, and the Confetti Stars Border Punch. I used the new Labeler Alphabet to stamp the letters for "God Bless America". We have the National Anthem, the Star Spangled Banner, but when I think of patriotism, I think of asking God to bless and lead our country.

Stampin_up_labeler_alphabet_carolpaynestamps1 - Copy

I started with a star card base cut with Dapper Denim card stock and the largest Star Framelit. I cut a couple of swirling scribbles from Real Red card stock using the Swirly Scribbles Thinlet which I adhered to a Whisper White star cut with the next-smaller size Star Framelit with my Fine Tip Glue Pen. I trimmed the edges of the red swirls flush with the star with Paper Snips.

Stampin_up_labeler_alphabet_carolpaynestamps2 - Copy

I punched a bunch of Dapper Denim stars with the Confetti Stars Border Punch, then randomly added with Fine Tip Glue and a "tacky toothpick".

I cut a Silver Glimmer Paper star with the smallest Star Framelit, adding it to the front with a Stampin' Dimensional.

After stamping the letters for "God Bless America" with Dapper Denim ink I cut them all out with Paper Snips and added them with Glue Dots.

Are you wondering about my "tacky toothpick"? A "tacky toothpick" is a regular wooden toothpick that I put a small drop of Tombow Multipurpose Glue on one end, then allow to air-dry.

Stampin_up_tacky_toothpick_1

The dry glue stays "tacky", allowing you pick up tiny pieces of paper, add a bit of glue to the back, and place precisely on your project!

Stampin_up_tacky_toothpick_2

Inside I stamped a word from the new Thoughtful Banners set with Dapper Denim ink and added a few Read Red stars using my tacky toothpick again.

Stampin’ Up! Swirly Bird Sailboat!

Stampin’ Up! Swirly Bird Sailboat!

Hey there! This week I'm taking care of Liam & Darcy 24-7 while their parents are on an anniversary trip, so I don't have much time to blog! I'm not complaining at all, I love my grand babies! Liam is almost 4, so he's not really a baby any more, and Darcy is 18 months, and are both turning into such fun little people!

Today I have a card I created with the Swirly Bird and Swirly Scribbles Thinlets Bundle,( saving 10%), that demonstrators were allowed to pre-order. But YOU can order it NOW! yay!

Stampin_up_swirly_bird_carolpaynestamps1 - Copy

I was going for a sky/water look, what do you think?

All of the images to create the boat and the "sun" are in the Swirly Bird set. There are images to make a kite, there's a bird (of course), swirly images that can be made into flowers, nests, owls, suns; the possibilities are endless!

Stampin_up_swirly_bird_carolpaynestamps2 - Copy

The greeting and label are from the Thoughtful Banners set and the Duet Banner Punch, which are also bundled for a 10% savings!

Stampin_up_swirly_bird_carolpaynestamps4 - Copy

The teeny tiny anchors are from the Layering Love set, which I used on the inside too.

Stampin_up_layering_love_carolpaynestamps1 - Copy

I stamped the bottom with Dapper Denim splatters, another stamp in Swirly Bird.
