Stampin’ Up! Best of Retiring Part 1!

Stampin’ Up! Love & Affection for $350 Online Class!

I punched a Night of Navy flower with the Pansy Punch, embossing with a Floral Affection Textured Impressions Folder for more definition. A bit of Clear Wink of Stella Glitter Brush and a Metal Rimmed Pearl are finishing touches.

Inside I stamped with more Love & Affection. The "thinking of you" from the Time of Year host set is the center image. I added a bit of Clear Wink of Stella to the flower centers.

Stampin’ Up! Swirly Bird Sailboat!

Hey there! This week I'm taking care of Liam & Darcy 24-7 while their parents are on an anniversary trip, so I don't have much time to blog! I'm not complaining at all, I love my grand babies! Liam is almost 4, so he's not really a baby any more, and Darcy is 18 months, and are both turning into such fun little people!

Today I have a card I created with the Swirly Bird and Swirly Scribbles Thinlets Bundle,( saving 10%), that demonstrators were allowed to pre-order. But YOU can order it NOW! yay!

I was going for a sky/water look, what do you think?

All of the images to create the boat and the "sun" are in the Swirly Bird set. There are images to make a kite, there's a bird (of course), swirly images that can be made into flowers, nests, owls, suns; the possibilities are endless!

The greeting and label are from the Thoughtful Banners set and the Duet Banner Punch, which are also bundled for a 10% savings!

The teeny tiny anchors are from the Layering Love set, which I used on the inside too.

I stamped the bottom with Dapper Denim splatters, another stamp in Swirly Bird.

Stampin’ Up! Swirly Bird Sailboat!

Stampin’ Up! Pop of Paradise Uneven Fold Card!

Hey there! I played with a new (to me) fun fold I'd been seeing online, so I decided to try one! The Pop of Paradise stamps and Pop of Pink Specialty Paper was still on my crafting desk, so I used them again to create this uneven fold card:

This card gives you lots of sections to embellish; with plenty of room for sentiments!

Card base dimensions: 5 1/2" x 11", scored at 1 1/2", 3", 5 1/2", and 8". Fold accordian-style (Mountain, Valley, Mountain, Valley).

Designer paper and card stock layers dimensions: 1 1/4" x 5 1/4"- need two, 2 1/4" x 5 1/4" – need two, 2 3/4" x 5 1/4" – need one

I gold-heat embossed the pineapple, then hand-cut it with Paper Snips. Did you know? If you leave a little bit of card stock bordering the image it will look much smoother and even than if you cut flush with the image and don't leave a border. The border allows your eye to ignore imperfections in the cut edge! Pretty cool!

I stamped "happy birthday to you" from Circle of Spring with Melon Mambo ink to make it "pop" against all of the gold embossing and black I've used. I gold heat-embossed the "thinking of you" from Pop of Paradise, then cut with one of the new Sweet & Sassy Framelits.

I love stamping, embossing, and cutting out the flamingo, she's just so CUTE!!!! I used two sentiments from the new Love & Affection set to finish off the final card sections.

When folded, the card will easily fit inside a Medium Whisper White envelope, which has been stamped to match the card, of course!

Stampin’ Up! Masked Painter’s Palette!

Hey there! We had a lovely Sunday afternoon yesterday! After grilling hamburgers, the family hung out on our front porch and played games while the kiddos played in the yard and sandbox my husband had built. It's so relaxing to watch little ones wander around in the yard, dabble on the swings, and scoop sand. A wonderful day!

Today I have another card created with Painter's Palette and Love & Affection stamp sets. It was my "warm up" to the easel blog hop card last week. Click THIS LINK to check it out and take the hop!

I started by stamping the easel from Painter's Palette with Archival Basic Black ink on a 4" x 5 1/4" Whisper White:

Now, just imagine that I stamped the easel again on a Post-it note, cut out the square, then put it over the stamped "canvas" on the easel. (I apparently forgot to take a picture of this step, sorry. Ever get so excited that you get ahead of yourself? That's what happened with this card!)

I stamped the brush strokes with Flirty Flamingo and Peekaboo Peach with the mask over the canvas, then stamped leaves and splatters with Pear Pizzazz.

After removing the mask I stamped Archival basic Black flowers and tiny blooms inside the flowers with Flirty Flamingo or Peekaboo Peach. I filled the canvas with the phrase from Painter's Palette and more little blooms.

This technique really makes the easel on this completely flat card really stand out!

Inside I followed up with another Painter's Palette phrase and more stamping to coordinate with the card front.

Pretty easy-peasey!

Stampin’ Up! Mediterranean Achiever’s Blog Hop, New Catalog Sneak Peek!

Hey there! A little early this month because of the cruise, but it's time for the hop!

Welcome to the Grand Vacation Achievers Blog Hop for May. This month our theme is 2016-2017 Annual Catalogue Sneak Peek. We are so excited to be able to show you these amazing BRAND NEW products that you will be able to purchase on June 1st!

For my Sneak Peek creation I took some inspiration from my sister Stamper's Dozen Blog Hopper, BJ Peters. BJ combined the new Painter's Palette and Love & Affection stamp sets to create a really awesome One-Sheet Wonder Class. I CASED her idea of combining those two stamp sets, as well as her color palette of Flirty Flamingo, Peekaboo Peach, and Pear Pizzazz. I added my own twists to it by using a Basic Black card base, subtle splatters of Crumb Cake, and a fun fold!

Painter's Palette has a really fun easel image, so I decided to play on that and created an "Easel-Easel" card!

It looks like an ordinary card at first, but then when you open it, TA DA!

This color palette of Flirty Flamingo, Peekaboo Peach, Pear Pizzazz, Crumb Cake, and Whisper White just screamed at me to add more Basic Black, so that's why I made it my easel card base. It''s simply an extra score line and an additional layer: 4 1/4" x 11", scored at 5 1/2" and 8 1/4", with an added layer of Basic Black that starts out at 3 5/8" x 4 7/8".

The fonts of both stamp sets coordinate well. "sending a smile your way" from Love & Affection is the perfect size for the "door stop" for the easel to stand.
