Stampin’ Up! Winter Woods Merry Banner!

Stampin’ Up! Winter Woods Merry Banner!

Hey there! Today I'm at a Holiday Craft Fair at the Mt Vernon City Park. If you're in the area, come by and see me! With over 40 local crafters, you're sure to find something you like!

Here's the banner I made for my display!

Stampin_up_winter_woods_banner_carolpaynestamps1

I used Dashing Along Designer Series Paper for the banner pennants. Each one is 6" x 3 1/2". You can only find this paper when you search (or click on the image in the supply list below) in my online store.

Stampin_up_winter_woods_carolpaynestamps2

I backed each pennant with a 3 3/4" x 4" Mossy Meadow layer, adhered about 3/4" from the top the banner before I folded down about 3/8" to secure the cording hanger. I stamped the evergreen from Winter Woods with Mossy Meadow ink on Whisper White, then cut with the coordinating In the Woods Framelit.

Each Basic Black Large Letters letter is glued to a Whisper White mat cut with a Stitched Labels Framelit.

I added trees cut with a Sweetly Stitched Framelit, and a Silver Glimmer snowflake cut with the Blizzard Thinlit.

Stampin_up_winter_woods_carolpaynestamps5

Each snowflake is different!

Stampin_up_winter_woods_carolpaynestamps6

I love it!

I completed the banner with a Basic Black "Christmas" cut with a Merry Christmas Thinlit die.

Stampin_up_winter_woods_carolpaynestamps8

The banner is fully adjustable to however long or short you want it to be. I used 15 ft of silver cording in the fold at the top. I folded down the designer paper and then stapled it  so the banner pieces will slide along the cord.

Inspiration seems to always strike best at the last minute, so I only had time to make one! I'm planning to take orders if anyone wants one!

Stampin’ Up! Tags & Tidings for Mass Production!

Stampin’ Up! Tags & Tidings for Mass Production!

Hey there! I've been working on items for a craft fair this weekend, which of course means kicking into mass-production mode! I created a darling set of tags (more than one, actually) with the Tags & Tidings Bundle from the Holiday Catalog last week, so of course I wanted to make a bunch of them for the fair. I quickly realized some modifications were necessary if I wanted to be able to price them reasonably AND actually get a bunch of them made!

Find my original post about the tags HERE,

more HERE

and HERE.

Modified, there are more tags now than originally. Tags & Tidings has 16 different tags all in one stamp, so there's lots to choose!

Stampin_up_tags_&_tidings_carolpaynestamps1

First I traded out Cherry Cobbler 1/4" Double-Stitched Ribbon for a darling Cherry Cobbler bow cut with a Farmhouse Framelits Die. The die cuts SIX bows simultaneously!  I adhered to the little tags with a dot of liquid glue.

Stampin_up_tags_&_tidings_carolpaynestamps2

Next, instead of tying the Mossy Meadow Festive Farmhouse Cotton Twine around the stiff 5/8" Striped Burlap Ribbon, I STAPLED the ribbon together, saving A LOT of tying time!

Stampin_up_tags_&_tidings_carolpaynestamps3

I then tied the Mossy Meadow twine in a bow and adhered over the staple on the tag front, saving twine and time!

Stampin_up_tags_&_tidings_carolpaynestamps4

All the rest of the tags are the same, but here's some close-ups of these adorable little gems!

Stampin’ Up! Nothing Sweeter with Festive Farmhouse!

Stampin’ Up! Nothing Sweeter with Festive Farmhouse!

Hey there! I have ideas for more Nothing Sweeter creations, but ran out of time before we left for Orlando to attend the Stampin' Up! 30th Anniversary OnStage event. Today is the middle day of OnStage and I'm seeing so much fun new stuff that will be in the Spring Occasions and Sale-a-bration Catalogs! I'm taking lots of pictures, so be ready to see some fun new things soon!

Today's card continues the "homespun" look with Crumb Cake, Festive Farmhouse Designer Series Paper, Cherry Cobbler, Mossy Meadow, and the Corrugated Dynamic Textured Impressions Embossing Folder. After I embossed the layer wtih the folder I rubbed my Crumb Cake ink pad directly over the raised ridges.

Stampin_up_nothing_sweeter_trees_carolpaynestamps1

After I stamped the tree in stamped-off Mossy Meadow and then stamped the outline in full-strength Mossy Meadow, I cut it out with the two pieces of the tree die from the Sweetly Stitched Framelits. It really looks stitched! The star is another Nothing Sweeter image stamped with Crushed Curry and  cut with a Sweetly Stitched Framelit

Stampin_up_nothing_sweeter_trees_carolpaynestamps2

I found the perfect greeting in the Christmas Traditions Punch Box! There are 6 stamps, a coordinating punch, two Stampin' Spots, and a clear stamping block, all in a gorgeous Real Red and silver tin! I stamped the greeting first with Mossy Meadow on Very Vanilla, punched with the Christmas Traditions Punch, then stamped again with Cherry Cobbler on a scrap of Very Vanilla. I hand-cut "Christmas" with Paper Snips to layer over the middle of the greeting. I rubbed the edges of the greeting directly on my Crumb Cake inkpad. No sparkles or bling were needed on this one!

Stampin’ Up! Nothing Sweeter Shop By Project CASE!

Stampin’ Up! Nothing Sweeter Shop By Project CASE!

Hey there! As I am blogging this we are winging our way toward Orlando to attend the Stampin' Up! 30th Anniversary OnStage event! I'm so glad I decided to get a hotspot for my phone!

A new feature in my online store is "Shop By Project"!  Currently a test feature for now, if successful it could become permanent. I browsed the projects and found a cute card created with the Nothing Sweeter bundle from the Holiday Catalog. I was inspired to CASE (Copy And Share Everything) it, then created a few more that I'll share soon. The "Shop By Project" cards don't have instructions, but do list the supplies used so you can purchase the ones you don't already have.

Although this card does require a Big Shot, it's pretty AND pretty simple!

Stampin_up_nothing_sweeter_carolpaynestamps1

Pool Party, Call Me Clover, Real Red, and Whisper White is a fresh, wintry color combo!

Stampin_up_nothing_sweeter_carolpaynestamps2

The  Nothing Sweeter stamps are bundled with the Sweetly Stitched Framelits dies. I used two dies to cut and "stitch" the tree and the snowflake. After I stamped the lights on the tree, I added rhinestones for sparkle.

Stampin_up_nothing_sweeter_carolpaynestamps3

After stamping the greeting from Nothing Sweeter with Real Red ink I used another Sweetly Stitched die to add the scalloped "stitching". The extra mini-scallops were created by punching a white scrap with the Scallop Ribbon Border Punch and then using my Paper Snips to trim off the scallop strip. I adhered with tiny dots of liquid glue.

Stampin_up_nothing_sweeter_carolpaynestamps4

All of the inside is stamped with Nothing Sweeter images.
