Stampin’ Up! Sunday Swap Day December 2nd!

Stampin’ Up! Sunday Swap Day December 2nd!

Hey there and welcome to Sunday Swap Day, the day of the week where I share gorgeous swap inspiration!

First, Dena Tarkowski  used the Farmhouse Christmas stamps with Festive Farmhouse Designer Series Paper  for her fun-fold card:

Stampin_up_farmhouse_christmas_carolpaynestamps1

Farmhouse Christmas is an all-inclusive set, images and sentiments that let you create a card with only one set!

Next,  Cathy Miller  used the Peaceful Noel Bundle of stamps and the Sprig Punch to create this beauty!

Stampin_up_peaceful_noel_carolpaynestamps1

She used the Sprig Punch to punch Merry Merlot Joyous Noel 6" x 6" Glimmer Paper for the greeting background. She also used a wadded-up piece of  Saran Wrap to dab Champagne Shimmer Paint over the Gray Granite background.

I love the sentiments in this set!

Amy Combs used Signs of Santa stamps, Santa's Workshop Specialty Designer Series Paper, Poppy Parade 1/2" Textured Weave Ribbon and a Pearlized Doily for her bright and chipper creation:

She used a Santa's Workshop Enamel Shape (sold out šŸ™   ) to add this darling embellishment to the greeting:

Finally, Lorraine Duran used the Tags & Tidings Bundle to create this adorable card:

Stampin’ Up! Tags & Tidings for Mass Production!

Stampin’ Up! Tags & Tidings for Mass Production!

Hey there! I've been working on items for a craft fair this weekend, which of course means kicking into mass-production mode! I created a darling set of tags (more than one, actually) with the Tags & Tidings Bundle from the Holiday Catalog last week, so of course I wanted to make a bunch of them for the fair. I quickly realized some modifications were necessary if I wanted to be able to price them reasonably AND actually get a bunch of them made!

Find my original post about the tags HERE,

more HERE

and HERE.

Modified, there are more tags now than originally. Tags & Tidings has 16 different tags all in one stamp, so there's lots to choose!

Stampin_up_tags_&_tidings_carolpaynestamps1

First I traded out Cherry Cobbler 1/4" Double-Stitched Ribbon for a darling Cherry Cobbler bow cut with a Farmhouse Framelits Die. The die cuts SIX bows simultaneously!  I adhered to the little tags with a dot of liquid glue.

Stampin_up_tags_&_tidings_carolpaynestamps2

Next, instead of tying the Mossy Meadow Festive Farmhouse Cotton Twine around the stiff 5/8" Striped Burlap Ribbon, I STAPLED the ribbon together, saving A LOT of tying time!

Stampin_up_tags_&_tidings_carolpaynestamps3

I then tied the Mossy Meadow twine in a bow and adhered over the staple on the tag front, saving twine and time!

Stampin_up_tags_&_tidings_carolpaynestamps4

All the rest of the tags are the same, but here's some close-ups of these adorable little gems!

"Christmas Greetings":

"Merry Christmas to You and Yours":

Stampin’ Up! Snowflake Sentiments with Inlaid Embossing!

Stampin’ Up! Snowflake Sentiments with Inlaid Embossing!

Hey there! Today's card was created with Snowflake Sentiments stamps, Festive Farmhouse Designer Series Paper, and the Cable Knit Dynamic Textured Impressions Embossing Folder. I was inspired to create these cards by Lyssa Zwolanek, a friend from my Founder's Circle Days.

Stampin_up_snowflake_sentiments_carolpaynestamps1

I used the "Inlaid Embossing" Technique to adhere the strips of Festive Farmhouse Designer Paper to the Very Vanilla layer first, then embossing the entire layer with the Cable Knit Dynamic Textured Impressions Embossing Folder. This technique makes the designer paper look like it has become one with the Very Vanilla paper!

Stampin_up_snowflake_sentiments_carolpaynestamps2

I stamped the Snowflake Sentiments greeting with Cherry Cobbler ink on a 2" x 4" Very Vanilla piece that I punched on one end with the Scallop Tag Topper Punch. After I cut down a piece of 5/8" Striped Burlap Trim to about 1/4" wide, I tied it in a bow through the ribbon slot. The tag is adhered to the card with dimensionals.

Stampin_up_snowflake_sentiments_carolpaynestamps3

I kept my inside stamping all Cherry Cobbler. I love those small flourishes from Snowflake Sentiments!

Stampin_up_snowflake_sentiments_carolpaynestamps4

My second version started with an Old Olive card base:

Stampin_up_snowflake_sentiments_carolpaynestamps5

Both cards were embellished with a sprig punched from a piece of Joyous Noel 6" x 6" Glimmer Paper.

Stampin’ Up! Nothing Sweeter with Festive Farmhouse!

Stampin’ Up! Nothing Sweeter with Festive Farmhouse!

Hey there! I have ideas for more Nothing Sweeter creations, but ran out of time before we left for Orlando to attend the Stampin' Up! 30th Anniversary OnStage event. Today is the middle day of OnStage and I'm seeing so much fun new stuff that will be in the Spring Occasions and Sale-a-bration Catalogs! I'm taking lots of pictures, so be ready to see some fun new things soon!

Today's card continues the "homespun" look with Crumb Cake, Festive Farmhouse Designer Series Paper, Cherry Cobbler, Mossy Meadow, and the Corrugated Dynamic Textured Impressions Embossing Folder. After I embossed the layer wtih the folder I rubbed my Crumb Cake ink pad directly over the raised ridges.

Stampin_up_nothing_sweeter_trees_carolpaynestamps1

After I stamped the tree in stamped-off Mossy Meadow and then stamped the outline in full-strength Mossy Meadow, I cut it out with the two pieces of the tree die from the Sweetly Stitched Framelits. It really looks stitched! The star is another Nothing Sweeter image stamped with Crushed Curry and  cut with a Sweetly Stitched Framelit

Stampin_up_nothing_sweeter_trees_carolpaynestamps2

I found the perfect greeting in the Christmas Traditions Punch Box! There are 6 stamps, a coordinating punch, two Stampin' Spots, and a clear stamping block, all in a gorgeous Real Red and silver tin! I stamped the greeting first with Mossy Meadow on Very Vanilla, punched with the Christmas Traditions Punch, then stamped again with Cherry Cobbler on a scrap of Very Vanilla. I hand-cut "Christmas" with Paper Snips to layer over the middle of the greeting. I rubbed the edges of the greeting directly on my Crumb Cake inkpad. No sparkles or bling were needed on this one!

Stampin_up_nothing_sweeter_trees_carolpaynestamps3

 I kept the inside simple:

Carol Payne Stamps Farmhouse Christmas Easels!

Carol Payne Stamps Farmhouse Christmas Easels!

Hey there! I'm loving playing with all of the elements of the Festive Farmhouse Suite! Today I have a couple of easel cards that are almost the same, but I flipped the designer paper over for an alternate look!

Stampin_up_farmhouse_christmas_easel_carolpaynestamps1

I started with these two prints from the Festive Farmhouse Designer Series Paper pack:

Stampin_up_farmhouse_christmas_easel_carolpaynestamps2

I stamped the pickup truck on to watercolor paper before coloring with Cherry Cobbler, Old Olive, Smoky Slate and Basic Black Stampin' Blends. I then cut out the colored pickup with  a Farmhouse Framelit Die and popped it up on dimensionals.

Stampin_up_farmhouse_christmas_easel_carolpaynestamps3

I punched Mossy Meadow card stock with the Duet Banner Punch to frame the easel stop sentiment.

Stampin_up_farmhouse_christmas_easel_carolpaynestamps4

For my second card I simply turned the designer paper over for a new look!

Stampin_up_farmhouse_christmas_easel_carolpaynestamps7

I think I did a better job coloring the pickup with the light and dark Cherry Cobbler and Old Olive Stampin' Blends!

All of the images inside are from Farmhouse Christmas!

Carol Payne Stamps Farmhouse Christmas Gift Tags!

Carol Payne Stamps Farmhouse Christmas Gift Tags!

Hey there! Stampin' Up! is right on trend this year with the Festive Farmhouse Suite! I created a couple of tags with the Farmhouse Christmas Bundle to kick off my playtime!

I used Cherry Cobbler  for one tag base and Mossy Meadow for the other one. I heat-embossed the pickup truck with white Stampin' Emboss Powder, punched the Crumb Cake greeting with the 2" Circle Punch and used a Farmhouse Framelit to cut out the "Merry Christmas".

Stampin_up_farmhouse_christmas_carolpaynestamps1

After heat embossing the pickup with White embossing powder, I colored in the body of the truck with a Clear Wink of Stella Glitter Brush and the card interior, wheels, and front grill with a Basic Black Stampin' Blend.

Stampin_up_farmhouse_christmas_carolpaynestamps2

I secured the 5/8" Striped Burlap Trim with a bit of Festive Farmhouse Cotton Twine and a Galvanized Button

Stampin_up_farmhouse_christmas_carolpaynestamps3

The Mossy Meadow version is very similar but without the Clear Wink of Stella  on the truck body.

Stampin_up_farmhouse_christmas_carolpaynestamps4

I used the Cherry Cobbler Festive Farmhouse Cotton Twine to secure the Galvanized button.

Stampin_up_farmhouse_christmas_carolpaynestamps5

Inside I used a sentiment from the Sincerely Santa stamp set for the "TO:  FROM and stamped the itty-bitty wreath with Mossy Meadow ink.
