Stampin’ Up! Birthday Bouquet Big News!

Hey there! I finally downloaded the final card for the #imbringingbirthdaysback Birthday Card Class! I've eliminated the Friday night class (tonight), kept the Saturday class (1-5 p.m.), and added a Monday night (16th) class (5-9 p.m.)

Today's card uses the diagonal slash card layout again:

Retiring items used: Birthday Bouquet Designer Paper, Big News stamp set, Pool Party 3/8" Glitter Ribbon, Iced Rhinestones, and Lost Lagoon card stock and ink.

Non-retiring: Flower Shop stamp set, Whisper White card stock, White Vellum card stock, clear embossing powder, Pansy Punch, Stampin' Trimmer, and Heat Tool.

Lost Lagoon just about a tie in my "Most Beloved In Colors", right up there with Blackberry Bliss!

DID YOU KNOW??? Classic ink doesn't dry on vellum card stock, so you can sprinkle with Clear embossing powder and heat emboss! I used this technique with Lost Lagoon ink and clear powder on vellum, heated, then punched with the Pansy Punch. I layered onto a Lost Lagoon-stamped pansy for more dimension, adding the Iced Rhinestone with an extra glue dot to secure on the slickness of the embossing.

Inside I used simple Lost Lagoon ink on white. I lined the envelope with another Birthday Bouquet print.

Stampin’ Up! Big News for Dolores!

Hey there! We had a splendid Easter! Twenty-five family members, including my husband's mother, celebrating her 88th birthday! We had the traditional Easter lunch, birthday cake and ice cream, and then an afternoon Easter egg hunt!

Dolores' favorite color is purple, so I made this card with Floral Wings and Big News:

I started with a Blackberry Bliss card base, layered Wisteria Wonder and Mint Macaron, then the Whisper White stamped layer.

The large butterfly image needed a large greeting, so I used a greeting from Big News that's large but not overpowering with its' narrow font.

The Floral Wings butterfly uses a three-step stamping technique. All photopolymer, stamp the butterfly with Wisteria Wonder, then add Mint Macaron leaves, and finally Blackberry Bliss blooms. A line of pearls finishes the center. Pearls Basic Jewels are ON SALE until the end of today on the Weekly Deals!

Inside I stamped more Floral Wings. "Enjoy the fuss" is also from Big News.

Stampin’ Up! Big News for Dolores!

Stampin’ Up! Mediterranean Achiever’s Blog Hop, Wedding Dreams!

For my project I decided to use a Whisper White Note Card and Envelope for my base to create this actually quick and easy wedding card, perfect to add to a gift or to just tuck in cash, gift card, or a check!

I kept a neutral color scheme, adding only Tip Top Taupe inks and accessories for an elegant look!

After layering Tip Top Taupe on the base, I heat-embossed a layer of Shimmery White multiple times using a rose stamp from Picture Perfect and Iridescent Ice embossing powder.

I stamped a greeting from Big News with Tip Top Taupe, rubbed the inked greeting with my embossing buddy, then stamped and embossed a single rose with Iridescent Ice over part of the word, making that area of the greeting darker. I cut it with a Lots of Labels framelit, then drew around outside of the same framelit with a pencil to hand-cut the Tip Top Taupe mat. This was added over the Tip Top Taupe 1" Dotted Lace Trim with a Stampin' Dimensional in each corner. Adding a Tip Top Taupe In Color Blossom Accent with a glue dot was the perfect finishing touch!

Inside I continued the embossed-rose theme, and stamped the companion sentiment from Big News.

I lined the envelope with a lovely script design from the Neutrals Color Collection Designer Paper Stack.

I combined Balloon Celebration, Big News, and the Party Pants Sale-a-bration set with "Ombre Stamping" to create this card we will be making this weekend at my #imbringingbirthdaysback Stamp-a-Stack!

Melon Mambo, Pink Pirouette, and Basic Black provide the sharp contrasts needed to make this card a winner!

I chose the Best Year Ever Designer Series Paper for my Sale-a-bration accessory. I combined it with the "smile" stamp from the So You set from the Occasions Catalog.

The Best Year Ever DSP is so gorgeous all I added was a bit of embossing with the Large Polka Dot folder and one single Rhinestone Basic Jewel.

Inside I used a sentiment from the annual catalog Big News set, as well as stars stamped in Coastal Cabana inside and on the envelope. Sweet!

Stampin! Up! Zoo Babies for Lando!

Hey there! You've probably already heard. I've been shouting about it on Facebook for a few days, but in case you haven't, my newest grandson, Lando Ronan Hiller, has arrived! He weighed 8 lbs 9 oz. Mommy & Lando are doing great! I'm staying with her for a couple of weeks to mostly help out with Lando's "big brother", Oakley, who will be 18 months in a couple of days.

Now I can FINALLY finish his card:

I added his name using Simply Pressed Clay and the new Alphanumeric Mold in the Occasions Catalog. After the letters dried, I colored them first with my Lost Lagoon marker, then added the "stitching" with a White Chalk Marker. I attached the letters to the card front with Crystal Effects. The letters were not completely flat, so I put a couple of heavy books on top of them until the Crystal Effects was dry.

After stamping the Whisper White Medium Evelope with Zoo Babies images and Lost Lagoon ink, I used the Envelope Liner Thinlet Dies to cut the Sweet Dreams Designer Paper to embellish the inside flap of the envelope.
