Stampin’ Up! New Weekly Deals, a Card, and More Sale-a-bration Goodies!

Hey there! I'm a little late posting this morning, I had my monthly swap to get out to the P.O. today. I know you will forgive me because this means NEW swaps to share next week! yay!

As you probably know, every Tuesday Stampin' Up! releases New Weekly Deals; items that are 25% off for the next week. Today they not only released new Weekly Deals, they added ANOTHER collection of Sale-a-bration items to choose from with every $50 order! yay!

Last week I played around with the Indescribable Gift set from the Occasions catalog, creating projects for a class I'm doing at a Women's Conference this weekend. This one will be in my display:

To start off, I brayered a piece of Irresistibly Your Specialty Designer Paper from the Sale-a-bration brochure with Pear Pizazz ink, then . . .

After heat-embossing the image with gold powder, I colored the blooms and buds with my White Chalk Marker.

I punched the greeting with the Modern Label Punch, layered it over a Crisp Cantaloupe Large Oval, then over a Whisper White Scallop Oval. I added a bow tied with Calypso Coral ribbon from the Sale-a-bration Best Year Ever Accessory Pack, and topped it off with a flower from the Blushing Bride Rosette Trim taken from the Artisan Embellishment Kit.

Inside I kept it minimal with Gold embossing Powder.

Stampin’ Up! Stamper’s Dozen Blog Hop March Edition, Stamping Home Decor!

Hey there! It's the 15th, which means it's Stamper's Dozen Blog Hop Day! March's theme is Home Decor, which is a bit of a challenge for me, but it's good to stretch out of your comfort zone, right?

If you are already on the hop, you probably just came from Stella MacKay's blog, Stellar Stamps! I always love Stella's projects, don't you?

To start my quest for ideas for home decor, I went to Dollar Tree and Hobby Lobby. The first thing I picked up at Dollar Tree was an open-weave twine place mat. I actually picked up three of these in spring green, tangerine tango, and midnight muse. I still have ideas for the other two, but this is the result with the spring green mat:

Wreath forms can be pricey sometimes, so finding these place mats for a dollar was a deal I just couldn't pass up. I think it looks pretty wreath-ish, yes?

I cut the "hello spring" letters with my Little Letters Thinlets Dies from Strawberry Slush Backgrounds Designer Paper. They are layered on a hand-cut Whisper White banner, layered on two strips of 1 1/4" Burlap ribbon that I banner cut the ends too.

I didn't even have to worry about a hanger on the wreath because my wreath hook fits through the open-weave of the place mat perfectly!

But here's the BEST part of this wreath: the flowers were made with the Bow Builder Punch and the All Abloom Designer Series Paper Stack that is on sale in the Weekly Deals through tomorrow!

I chose the Best Year Ever Designer Series Paper for my Sale-a-bration accessory. I combined it with the "smile" stamp from the So You set from the Occasions Catalog.

The Best Year Ever DSP is so gorgeous all I added was a bit of embossing with the Large Polka Dot folder and one single Rhinestone Basic Jewel.

Inside I used a sentiment from the annual catalog Big News set, as well as stars stamped in Coastal Cabana inside and on the envelope. Sweet!
