Stampin’Up! Baby Washi Tape!

Stampin’Up! Baby Washi Tape!

Hi there! It's Saturday, and I'm lovin' on my newest grandson, Oakley, this morning! God is so good!

Just wanted to share with you the card I created for the gift (one of many!) I brought to the hospital for Oakley. Alisa likes the pirate/skulls motif, so I used the new Witches Brew Designer Washi Tape from the upcoming Holiday Catalog starting August 1st to create this little gem!

Washi boy 1

Although it's very hard to see in the picture, I layered the washi tape on my Whisper White layer, then embossed with the Stripes Textured Impressions folder!

Washi boy 2

Not much time for chatting today, so here's a quick list of supplies used:

Stamps: Cuddles & Kisses

Paper: Island Indigo, Basic Black, Whisper White, Regals Designer Paper Stack, Neutrals Designer Paper Stack

Ink: Jet Black StazOn

Accessories: Witches Brew Designer Washi Tape, Big Shot, Stripes Textured Impressions Folder, Hexagon Punch, 1 3/8" Circle Punch, Label Bracket Punch (also available starting August 1st in the Holilday  Catalog!

Paper Trimmer, SNAIL adhesive, Paper Snips, Stampin' Dimensionals

That's all for now! Tomorrow is another Sunday Swap Day Share, so come back and see me! Until then have a Stampingrox! day!

Stampin’ Up! Sketched Birthday Easel Card!

Stampin’ Up! Sketched Birthday Easel Card!

Good morning! Happy Friday! I'm at Alisa & Cody's helping with Baby Oakley for the next few days, so I'm in Grammie heaven!

Today I have a card that I CASED from myself! I posted my first easel Chalkboarding card HERE. I take my samples to workshops and if someone wants to make a display card at an upcoming party, I do my best to bring it to them. This card is an example of my efforts to grant a group's request.

Easel 1
The card from the earlier post was made with stamps (inside & out) that have now retired, so I redid it with the current stamp set, Sketched Birthday. What do you think? I really love the little Real Red Brights Candy Dots in the three corners!

Here's a rundown of the products used:

Stamps: Sketched Birthday

Paper: Soft Suede, Basic Black, Real Red

Ink: Versamark, Soft Suede Classic

Accessories: Big Shot, Woodgrain Textured Impressions Folder, Embossing Buddy, White Embossing Powder, Heat Tool, 1 1/4" Scallop Circle Punch, 1 3/8" Circle Punch, Brights Candy Dots, White Gel Pen, ruler (not Stampin' Up!), Itty Bitty Shapes Punch Pack, Basic Jewel Rhinestones, Stampin' Trimmer

Easel 2

That's all for now! I'm loving my time cuddling with Oakley!

Until tomorrow, have a Stampingrox! day!

Stampin’ Up! Label Love/Alphabet Press!

Stampin’ Up! Label Love/Alphabet Press!

Just a quick post. Alisa, Cody, and baby Oakley are coming home from the hospital today and I am packing to go spend the next week with them! yay!

Until I get a chance to show you more Oakley pics, here's a card for you:

Label love 1

This is one of my convention swaps. (Even though I didn't get to go, I am still participating in a couple of organized swaps. I signed up for them a long time ago, before it became apparent that Oakley was waiting to come because wanted his Grammie to stay home with him instead!)

Label love 2

Stamps: Label Love, Make a Wish, Off the Grid

Paper: Early Espresso, Crisp Cantaloupe, Very Vanilla, Soho Subway Designer Paper

Ink: Crisp Cantaloupe, Early Espresso, Sahara Sand

Accessories: Artisan Label Punch, Brayer, Big Shot, Alphabet Press Textured Impressions Folder, 1 1/4" Burlap Ribbon (in the upcoming Holiday Catalog), Neutrals Candy Dots

Stampingrox Technique Tip: I brayered the negative (flat) side of the Alphabet Press folder with Crisp Cantaloupe ink before inserting the Crisp Cantaloupe paper and cranking through the Big Shot to achieve the tone-on-tone darker look for the letters! Fun! You could also sponge the ink or rub the inkpad directly on the folder if you do not yet own a brayer.

Until tomorrow, have a Stampingrox! day!

Stampin’ Up! Tag It! Christmas Card!

Stampin’ Up! Tag It! Christmas Card!

Good Monday morning to you! I know you are going to find it hard to believe, but there is still NO baby Oakley yet! I can't stand it! But things are looking up! At her appointment last Wednesday, her doctor said if she didn't have him on her own by today they will put her in the hospital tonight and get things started! Whew! Hopefully that means we will have him here before Wednesday!

With that in mind, I'm going to get some posts ready to auto-post so you will have something to see for the next few days (or week) while I am busy being grammie!

Speaking of being grammie, this weekend I had the chance to do just that with Liam. Liam's mommy, Kimberly, came down with the nasty tummy bug I had last weekend, and so I brought him home to stay with me on Saturday through Sunday afternoon. He was here for my "SWOW/Christmas Card" Classes, and charmed everyone, to say the least! Liam has always been my little buddy, I am looking forward to spending more time with him starting in August when his mommy goes back to work teaching school!

Today's card is one of the Christmas cards we made Saturday. This one uses the Tag It! Ronald McDonald House Charity set. I always make sure I purchase and use the set Stampin' Up! creates for this purpose each year because Stampin' Up! donates $3 from the sale of each set to the RMDH Charity. We have friends who lived at the Ronald McDonald House in St Louis when their little girl was born extremely prematurely, so this charity is  near and dear to my heart!

Tag it 1

Early Espresso, Real Red, Baked Brown Sugar, and Very Vanilla.

Northern Flurry Textured Impressions Folder, Chalk Talk Framelits.

Real Red, Early Espresso, Baked Brown Sugar Stampin' Write Markers.

Basic Jewel Rhinestones and Tea Lace Doily.

Tag it 2

Inside a verse from More Merry Messages and snowflake-y stamp from A Round Array!

Tag it 6

We cut the Tea Lace Doily in to four pieces, then pleat/gathered each piece as shown and attached to the back of the focal image with a Glue Dot and SNAIL adhesive.

Tag it 7
Did you know the Tea Lace Do
ilies, while the catalog says they are white, are actually an off-white color now? It's true! They are perfect for a homespun-looking card like this one!

Well, that's all for today! I hope to have baby Oakley news for you soon!

Until tomorrow, which I hope is Oakley's birth-day, have a Stampingrox! day!
