Stampin’Up! Sheltering Tree in Bloom!

Stampin’Up! Sheltering Tree in Bloom!

Hey there! I've been catching up on things around here since I got home from Kimberly's on Tuesday night. I had a class at the Cozy Table in Benton, IL yesterday afternoon, then Mark's birthday was yesterday, and I have a Stamp Camp in Marion, IL tonight. Busy, busy, busy finishing up February!

The card I have for you today was inspired by a Leadership swap from Alicia Graham:

Stampin_up_blushing_bride_sheltering_tree_1 - Copy

So girly and springlike! The blossoms on the tree are heat embossed with Blushing Bride embossing powder.

Stampin_up_blushing_bride_sheltering_tree_2 - Copy

I have an appointment in an hour, so I'd better get off of here and get ready! If I get a chance I will pop back in and post the supply list for this card, as well as my class hand out later today. If you can't wait, you can always shop on your own in my online store: http://www.stampinup.net/esuite/home/carolpayne/

Until tomorrow, (or later) have have a Stampingrox! day!

Stampin’ Up! Sunday Swap Day on Monday!

Stampin’ Up! Sunday Swap Day on Monday!

Hey there. I've been helping Kimberly with baby Darcy, so my weeks have just been flying!

I tried this  post yesterday on Sunday afternoon, but unfortunately my daughter lives way out in the "sticks" so her internet is crummy. Now it's Monday morning when her internet is at its' best, so we'll see!

First, an elegant swap from Teri Wells. Teri used  Crumb Cake, Sahara Sand, and Soft Sky with touches of Whisper White for her swap:

Stampin_up_something_lacy_1

Up close you can see the detail from the Something Lacy background stamp, as well as the White Jute Ribbon and Sahara Sand 7/8" Lace Trim:

Here's the shopping list for Teri's card. Click on any image and you can go to my online store to order:

Next a masculine card using Guy Greetings from Lorraine Duran:

Stampin_up_guy_greetings_3

Up close the Rhinestones Basic Jewels were colored with the darkest of the Skin Tone Blendabilities:

Stampin_up_guy_greetings_4

Here's the supply list to shop in my online store:

Banner Punch

$12.95

Lastly, another masculine card by Denise Sullivan:

Stampin_up_guy_greetings_1

I love all the pattern choices in the Adventure Bound Designer Series Paper Stack, and the Basic Metal Button and thread pulled from the 1 1/4" Burlap Ribbon give this card an "Industrial" look:

Shopping list for my online store:

Glue Dots

Stampin’Up! Sunday Swap Day on Sunday Night!

Stampin’Up! Sunday Swap Day on Sunday Night!

Hey there! Things have been really busy around here for what seems like forever, but tomorrow it's going to get even busier because Miss Darcy is coming! yay!

Tomorrow morning at approximately 7:30 a.m, Miss Darcy Anne Jenkins is scheduled to make her debut! We are all excited, as well as a bit anxious. A c-section, while routine, is a serious surgery. We will all be breathing a prayer of thanks when mommy and  baby are safe and sound.

While we are waiting, and hoping to get a little bit of sleep before setting off for the hospital pre-6 a.m., how about a few swaps?

Ruth Bingle created her swap with the Big Day Sale-a-bration set using the Frosted Window technique:

Stampin_up_big_day_2

The "frosted window" is created with clear packing tape over the punched circle, then sprinkling the sticky side with Dazzling Diamonds glitter.

Stampin_up_big_day_4

Next, Cathy Stephenson used Butterfly Basics, punching the Bitty Butterfly from Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer paper, which is on sale through Monday, February 9!

Stampin_up_butterfly_basics

Raedean Shibata used Balloon Framelits with Celebrate Today to create a stunning anniversary card. She punched the edge with the Confetti Stars Border Punch, adding Silver Foil paper behind the stars for more shine.

Stampin_up_celebrate_today_1

Inside is finished with a banner from Celebrate Today and A Dozen Thoughts sentiment.

Stampin_up_celebrate_today_2

Finally, Jackie Ordway used Something Borrowed Designer Paper and a phrase from the For the New Two for her elegant wedding card. The Something Borrowed Embellishment is found on page 42 of the Occasions Catalog.

Stampin_up_for_the_new_two_1

That's all for now. The next time you visit I should have some Darcy pictures to share, as well as a few more swaps!

Here's a supply list of the main supplies used for todays' swaps you can order from my online store: http://www.stampinup.net/esuite/home/carolpayne/

All orders of any amount will receive a Thank-you project packet from me. Since I will be staying with Miss Darcy for at least a couple of weeks I will be a bit slow in getting Thank-you packets in the mail this month (I still have some January ones to do too!) but please be patient, I WILL send them!

Until tomorrow, have a Stampingrox! day!

Stampin’ Up! Sunday Swap Day!

Stampin’ Up! Sunday Swap Day!

Hey there. I've spent the past week cuddling the most adorable baby boy, Lando, and chasing and cuddling his big brother, Oakley! I'm so thankful and blessed! Right now I'm home for the long weekend, giving the little family some together time, but I will be going back on Monday evening to help out the rest of the week.

Since it's Sunday, it's time to share some swaps:

First, Laura Milligan used the largest phrase image from the Hello Life set, adding banners, white baker's twine, and a bit of gold sequin trim to give it a balloon look!

Stampin_up_hello_life

Next, Emily Tull combined Painted Petals Designer Paper with the single-image stamp Love is Kindess. She added Dazzling Diamonds glitter to the blooms and "tied" a bit of Linen Thread around the newspaper wrapper.

Stampin_up_love_is_kindness

Third, Mary Ann Sedlacek chose one of the Cheerful Critters for her swap. She punched the top of the tag with the Scalloped Tag Topper Punch, added punched banners, and tied the ribbon from the Best Year Ever Accessory Pack with a bit of Baked Brown Sugar Thick Baker's Twine.

Stampin_up_cheerful_critters

Finally, Jan Rodrian chose the Sale-a-bration set, Lotus Blossom, to create her swap. The Lotus Blossom set is photopolymer only, and is actually a THREE-STEP stamp set!

Stampin_up_lotus_blossom

That's all for now. You can find all the supplies to create your version of any of today's samples in my online store: www.carolpayne.stampinup.net

While you are there, be sure to check out the New Arrivals, Clearance Rack, and the Weekly Deals!

All online orders of any amount will receive a Thank-you Packet from me., including a project and instructions!

Until tomorrow, have a Stampingrox! day!

Stampin’ Up! Blendabilities for Stephanie’s Wedding!

Stampin’ Up! Blendabilities for Stephanie’s Wedding!

Hey there. Happy New Year! Did you kiss your sweetheart at midnight last night? I did! lol!

A dear friend of mine's only daughter was married during Thanksgiving weekend. I created this card for her gift:

Stampin_up_hearts_mask_hello_you_thinlets_1
Whisper White card base, layered with Blackberry Bliss, then Smokey Slate. I used the Hearts stencil from the Hearts & Stars Decorative Masks with a sponge dauber to add Silver Encore Metallic hearts. The Blackberry Bliss "happy" was cut with the new Hello You Thinlets Dies in the Occasions Catalog (available starting January 6!)

Adhering these skinny little words can be tricky. They are too thin and delicate for SNAIL or glue dots. Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue and a toothpick to the rescue!

Tombow on a toothpick - Copy

Stampin_up_big_news_1 - Copy

I stamped a sentiment from Big News in the Annual Catalog with Blackberry Bliss on the inside, then used the same Hearts mask to sponge more Silver Encore hearts.

Stampin_up_hearts_mask_1 - Copy

More hearts sponged lightly with Blackberry Bliss ink completed the envelope. I used a ready-made silver glimmery bow, coloring the center with my darkest Rich Razzleberry Blendability alcohol marker to match!

Stampin_up_rich_razzleberry_blendability - Copy

DANGER!!!!!Blendability markers on glimmer paper: the roughness of the glitter will FUZZ the tip of your Blendability!

FORTUNATELY  for all of us, the Blendability markers are available to choose as your free item in the Sale-a-bration catalog! When I place my next $50 order on January 6, I will be able to choose a new set of Rich Razzleberry Blendabilites as my freebie! whoo hoo!

That's all for now. I'm going to do a little bit of Christmas-returns and shopping this afternoon, so I've got to fly!

Here's the supply list for Stephanie's card. Go to my online store to order: www.carolpayne.stampinup.net

All orders placed in my online store will receive a Thank You project packet from me. No minimum $$ amount required! Be sure to check out the Clearance Rack and the newest Weekly Deals while you are there!

Until tomorrow, have a Stampingrox! day!
