Stampin’ Up! Howl-o-ween Treat Birthday!

Stampin’ Up! Howl-o-ween Treat Birthday!

Hey there So many good ideas for Halloween decorating, greeting, and packaging on the hop yesterday! yay!

Today I'm sharing second card from the September Online Class. I used traditional Halloween stamps to create an out-of-the-box birthday card:

This owl wears a birthday party hat punched with the Tree Punch, and he has a banner and a balloon from the Celebrate Today set!

Into the Woods Designer Series Paper creates the cheery background, and another Into the Woods design lends a "tree trunk" look!

The balloon is cut with the Balloon Framelits, and "CELEBRATE!" is punched with the Washi Label Punch.

It's very simple to create a party hat with the Tree Punch. All you need to do is line up the bottom of the tree with the straight edge of the paper when you punch. Tree-minus-trunk = party hat!

Inside I cut a banner from more Into the Woods paper with the pennants framelit that is included in the Balloon Framelits. A sentiment from the Fabulous Four set finish it off just right!

Stampin’ Up! Big on You Love You!

Stampin’ Up! Big on You Love You!

Hey there! Super fast post this morning! I'm finishing my prep for my presentation tomorrow, and still have lots to do. No worries, I do my best work under pressure! I'll let you know how it goes after tomorrow.

Today's card is super quick and easy. I decided to give this final image from the Big on You set a "chalkboard" look:

Stampin_up_big_on_you_love_you_1 - Copy

I made the Basic Black and Whisper White layers a little bit smaller than I normally do, which allowed more Real Red to frame the greeting and actually gave it more "punch"!

After rubbing the Basic Black cardstock with my Embossing Buddy, I heat embossed the image with white embossing powder. I kept my embellishments frugal by only adding one tiny heart from the Hearts Border Punch with a glue dot.

My last touch was to re-rub the Basic Black layer with my embossing buddy again, but this time I didn't rub or blow off the residue. This added to the recently-erased chalkboard look.

Inside I continued my theme with a sentiment from Yippee Skippee! (which is on the retiring list) and "birthday" from the Celebrate Today set.

Stampin’Up! Big On You and Celebrate Today!

Stampin’Up! Big On You and Celebrate Today!

Hey there! I have a few cards created with the same layout but different colors for you today. All were created with the Big on You and Celebrate Today stamp sets from the Occasions catalog.

First, I received this card in the swap a few months ago. I had put it on my display board and one of my hostess' for this month requested to make a card similar to it. This card uses a Bermuda Bay, Whisper White, and Daffodil Delight color scheme and was created by Cindy Ewertz:

Stampin_up_big_on_you_bermuda_bay_1

Inside Cindy's card:

Stampin_up_big_on_you_bermuda_bay_2

I tried out a couple of other color combos with this same layout. Here's Night of Navy, Real Red, and Whisper White:

Stampin_up_big_on_you_night_of_navy-1

I used Cherry Cobbler Baker's Twine to "tie" the twine to the balloon string.

Stampin_up_big_on_you_night_of_navy_2

Inside I dressed up the banner a bit more than the original using my Real Red and Night of Navy Stampin' Write Markers.

The class next week is already making the Real Red & Night of Navy Sea Street I posted HERE, so I went with Pacific Point, Tangerine Tango, and Whisper White:

Stampin_up_big_on_you_pacific_point_1
I used the "HAPPY" balloon stamp from the Celebrate Today set, stamped with Tangerine Tango. All the rest of the stamping is Pacific Point, except for the polka-dots on the balloon which are Daffodil Delight.

Stampin_up_big_on_you_pacific_point_5

To highlight  the polka-dots, we will be adding Crystal Effects to them. They take awhile to dry so I've come up with a way to help speed-up this process. I stamped the polka dots on plain white paper, covered it with a piece of waxed paper, then used the dots as my guide to add dollops of Crystal Effects over the dots. I've let them dry overnight and now they will be ready to add to the balloons with glue dots when we have the class  next week!

Its your day 6

Inside I used the same stamp-to-paper technique for the banner and the sentiment. I used my Pacific Point and Tangerine Tango Stampin' Write Markers:

Stampin_up_big_on_you_pacific_point_3

We will line the envelope with a bit of Birthday Bash Specialty Designer Paper, cut with the Envelope Liner Thinlet Die.

That's all for now! To place your order, just go to my online store HERE.

After you click on the "Products" tab and then the "Shop Now" from the drop-down box, you are ready to start shopping!

Stampin’Up! Sunday Swap Day on Sunday Night!

Stampin’Up! Sunday Swap Day on Sunday Night!

Hey there! Things have been really busy around here for what seems like forever, but tomorrow it's going to get even busier because Miss Darcy is coming! yay!

Tomorrow morning at approximately 7:30 a.m, Miss Darcy Anne Jenkins is scheduled to make her debut! We are all excited, as well as a bit anxious. A c-section, while routine, is a serious surgery. We will all be breathing a prayer of thanks when mommy and  baby are safe and sound.

While we are waiting, and hoping to get a little bit of sleep before setting off for the hospital pre-6 a.m., how about a few swaps?

Ruth Bingle created her swap with the Big Day Sale-a-bration set using the Frosted Window technique:

Stampin_up_big_day_2

The "frosted window" is created with clear packing tape over the punched circle, then sprinkling the sticky side with Dazzling Diamonds glitter.

Stampin_up_big_day_4

Next, Cathy Stephenson used Butterfly Basics, punching the Bitty Butterfly from Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer paper, which is on sale through Monday, February 9!

Stampin_up_butterfly_basics

Raedean Shibata used Balloon Framelits with Celebrate Today to create a stunning anniversary card. She punched the edge with the Confetti Stars Border Punch, adding Silver Foil paper behind the stars for more shine.

Stampin_up_celebrate_today_1

Inside is finished with a banner from Celebrate Today and A Dozen Thoughts sentiment.

Stampin_up_celebrate_today_2

Finally, Jackie Ordway used Something Borrowed Designer Paper and a phrase from the For the New Two for her elegant wedding card. The Something Borrowed Embellishment is found on page 42 of the Occasions Catalog.

Stampin_up_for_the_new_two_1

That's all for now. The next time you visit I should have some Darcy pictures to share, as well as a few more swaps!

Here's a supply list of the main supplies used for todays' swaps you can order from my online store: http://www.stampinup.net/esuite/home/carolpayne/

All orders of any amount will receive a Thank-you project packet from me. Since I will be staying with Miss Darcy for at least a couple of weeks I will be a bit slow in getting Thank-you packets in the mail this month (I still have some January ones to do too!) but please be patient, I WILL send them!

Until tomorrow, have a Stampingrox! day!
