Stampin’ Up! Timeless Talk!

Hey there! We've just had an absolutely wonderful, balmy day! Temps were up in the 50's, which means we were without coats for most of the day! But now the wind is howling around the house at about 40 mph, ushering in a new round of bone-chilling temps, and possibly some snow! Brrrrr! Winter is still here!

I wanted to share with you this card I created earlier this week for Theresa's party. This is the second of the two masculine cards we made, this time using the fun-fold I've been playing with so much and an annual catalog set I hadn't used much yet, Timeless Talk!

Of course we had to make a custom envelope with the Envelope Punch Board, and even though some of Theresa's guests were not very craft-savvy, everyone had great success!

We used an Early Espresso card base, Soho Subway Designer Paper, Early Espresso and a Deco Label Framelit, Island Indigo and Circle Collection Framelit Die, and Very Vanilla and a 2 1/2" Circle Punch. We stamped the antique bicycle with Early Espresso ink the "happy birthday" song with Island Indigo on a Very Vanilla scrap, then stamped the star from the Perfect Pennants set with Island Indigo ink in the center of the wheel. After punching with the 2 1/2" Circle Punch and adhering to the Island Indigo circle, we added an Island Indigo Candy Dot from the Regals Candy Dot pack.

On the back Very Vanilla panel we stamped "Make a Wish" from Perfect Pennants with Early Espresso ink, and added Island Indigo stars from the same set.

Stampin’ Up! a Couple of Birthday Cards!

Hey there! I arrived home last night from Leadership in Houston, TX and am both exhilarated and exhausted! Can you relate?

I have tons of fun new stuff to show you but none of it has been edited or sized to fit on my blog. When I sat down with my laptop I find that my mouse is apparently wearing out and will barely right click, so I found a couple of birthday swaps that you haven’t seen yet but are still current:

These little guys from Zoo Review are just adorable. The creator (sorry, I’ve lost the name) used the masking technique to stamp the penguin in the middle, covered him with a mask, then stamped the same penguin on either side of him. SO KAY-UTE! The “you can never have too much happy” from Yippee-Skippee! matches perfectly with this little group of guys!

My second offering for you today uses a riot of punches to create the happy little clown and the pennant banner! The “happy BIG day” from the Chalk Talk set has a bit of a “big top” feel to it, don’t you think?

Well, this is all I can manage today without my trusty mouse working properly! I have to run some errands today, so in addition to getting my teeth cleaned, buying a new phone (Instagram, here I come!), and getting groceries, I will be purchasing a new mouse!

Stampin’ Up! Alphabet Press Monkey for Jaxon!

Hey there! Tonight was Jaxon's 2nd birthday party and he probably had the best birthday a little guy could have!

He had "Mickey" ears to wear with his brother and cousins! Mickey Mouse is his favorite right now, so his party was "Mickey" themed.

The "paw paw's" were watching over the proceedings:

He LOVED all of his gifts, oooing and ahhhhing over each one, not even caring to open the next one, he just loved each one so much!

Blowing out the candles on his Mickey cake was serious business. He took reeaally big breaths!

When both candles were blown out, it was time to cheer!

Happy Birthday, Jaxon! You are my favorite little 2 year-old!

Here's the card and package tag I made for him (besides Mickey, Jaxon really loves monkeys)

All created with punches, I used the 2 1/2" Circle, 1 1/4" Circle, 3/4" Circle, 1/2" Circle, Itty Bitty Shapes Punch Pack circle, Large Oval, Modern Label, and the Bird Builder Punch. The greeting is from From the Heart.

Inside I stamped the "finally a day that really is all about you!" from Really Good Greetings in Real Red on the Crumb Cake layer. This phrase is especially appropriate for Jaxon since his birthday date is December 26, a date for a birthday that may seem overshadowed by the holiday festivities every year.

Inside the monkey tag I punched the same "happy birthday" with the Decorative label punch.

Well, that's all for now. Just ONE more day left of 2013, then we are off to the adventures 2014 will bring! yay!

Stampin’ Up! Sunday Swap Day! Perfect Blend!

Hey there! Yesterday was a crazy day! My three daughters and I went shopping for our annual Christmas Shopping Day! It was fun, but because of all the snow and ice we've been having, we had almost ALL of our shopping still to do. We hit Babies R Us, then Toys R Us, then lunch, then the Mall, and then Target! I think I am almost all done, but still have to take inventory and then probably make one more short trip to finish up, then wrap! Does that sound like your Christmas shopping? I do a bit of it all year long as I see things, mostly for the grandchildren, but my three sons usually shop what they call "mom-mart" and wipe out my stash before we take the big shopping trip. Yesterday we started at 8:30 a.m and didn't get home until 12:30 a.m.! Whew!

Today I just have a quick swap to share:

Stampin’ Up! Very Merry Tags!

Hey there! I finished the prep for my class later today. I used the Very Merry Tags set from the Holiday Catalog for the tags for the grab bags:

I covered the clothespins with Season of Style Washi Tape. Here are close-ups of the tags:

I used the 2 3/8" Scallop Circle, 1 3/4" Circle, Extra Large Oval, and 1 3/4" Scallop Circle for these.

Decorative Label Punch, 2 3/8" Scallop Circle, White Cardstock Vellum, and the Perfect Polka Dot Folder to emboss the vellum.

Mosaic Punch, Artisan Punch, and a bit of Cherry Cobbler Dazzling Details!

Petite Curly Label punch and 1 1/4" Scallop Circle punch.

The tag may say, "do not open until christmas", but guests tomorrow will be allowed to open these. The tags will be reusable, so someone may have to obey this one!
