Birthday Card Swap Ideas From the Alaska Incentive Trip!

Birthday Card Swap Ideas From the Alaska Incentive Trip!

Hey there! In case you are wondering why I no longer use "Stampin' Up!" as the beginning of my blog post title, I recently found out that using "Stampin' Up!" in my URL was prohibited in the Demonstrator Manual. I want to be compliant with all of Stampin' Up!'s rules, so I immediately made the change. I'm STILL using ALL Stampin' Up! ALL the time, so not to worry!

Today I have a fun group of birthday-themed swap inspiration to share with you!

First, a cute little pink (but not drunk!) elephant from A Little Wild combined with Broadway Bound Specialty Designer Series Paper. The greeting is from Special Celebrations.

Stampin_up_a_little_wild_carolpaynestamps1

Next, this swap combines the Best Bunny Bundle (stamps and punch) with Pocketfull of Sunshine!

Stampin_up_best_bunny_carolpaynestamps1

Bike Ride Stamps and Build a Bike Framelits are combined with Detailed With Love and the Detailed Trio Punch:

Stampin_up_bike_ride_carolpaynestamps1

The Botanical Bliss Bundle (stamps & framelits) are combined with Stitched Labels Framelits:

Sponging, punches, and creative use of the Fine Tip Glue Pen combine with a Special Celebrations greeting for a lovely card!

Finally, a sentiment from Treat Time was used to embellish this easy treat holder:

Stampin’ Up! CCREW917TECH Pocketful of Polished Stone!

Stampin’ Up! CCREW917TECH Pocketful of Polished Stone!

Hey there! Today I'm sharing another project from the Creative Crew challenges on Splitcoaststampers. We were asked take the same technique we used for our card and turn it into a scrapbook page, framed art, or 3-D project. I used the Pocket Framelits with the Burlap background and the Polished Stone technique to create this adorable treat pocket!

Stampin_up_pocketful_of_sunshine_thanksgiving_carolpaynestamps1

Again, I'm loving the look of Burlap stamped with Sahara Sand ink on Sahara Sand card stock! Adding the pocket details with the Pocketful of Sunshine stamp set, then cutting with the Pocket Framelits is just the best!

The leaves were created with the Polished Stone technique. You can catch the link to this tutorial on Splitcoaststampers here.

I cut the leaves with the smaller leaf from the Seasonal Layers Thinlets after stamping the Polished Stone piece with a Colorful Seasons leaf image.

Stampin_up_colorful_seasons_polished_stone_carolpaynestamps1

A Gold Faceted Gem makes the perfect center for a Touches of Nature Element. I made a teeny tiny banner to stamp "happy thanksgiving" from Teeny Tiny wishes.

Stampin_up_pocketful_of_sunshine_thanksgiving_carolpaynestamps2

To create the pocket, cut two pocket fronts with flaps using the Pocket Framelit:

Stampin_up_pocketful_of_sunshine_burlap_carolpaynestamps1

Adhere the 3/4" x 7 1/2", scored at 2 1/4", 3 3/4" and 5 1/4". Fold on the scored lines, then add Multipurpose Liquid Glue to the pocket flaps to adhere to the edges of the folded strip.

Stampin_up_pocketful_of_sunshine_carolpaynestamps1

Final touch is the Jute Twine handle added to the sides, tied through holes punched with the 1/8" Circle Handheld punch. I tied a double knot in the ends to secure.

Stampin’ Up! Sunday Swap Day, Swappin’ With the Mams!

Stampin’ Up! Sunday Swap Day, Swappin’ With the Mams!

Hey there! Today I’m sharing cards from our Yes Mam! Stamper’s Shoebox Swap! For a shoebox swap we bring all of the supplies in a “shoebox”  and then stamp each other’s creations!

First, Angela Black featured the Lemon Zest  set. She used Lemon Lime Twist, Basic Black, and Whisper White for a citrus-y look. The Lemon Zest set is also bundled with the Lemon Builder Punch. We didn’t use it on this card, be we did on the next one!

Stampin_up_lemon_zest_carolpaynestamps1

Next, Linda Reaney's creation feastured Daisy Delight Bundle. She used the leaf stamp from Lemon Zest and the Lemon Builder Punch to add leaves behind the flower! Punches are a quick and easy way to add depth and texture to your cards.

Stampin_up_daisy_delight_carolpaynestamps1

Angie Lisk  used the Wood Textures Suite. The Bermuda Bay-stamped rooster is cut out with a circle and a square Stitched Shapes framelit,

Stampin_up_wood_words_carolpaynestamps1

Cathy Lingle's seascape with Colorful Seasons, Seaside Textured folder, and a beach umbrella fashioned from a Delicate White Doily! LOVE her addition of burlap ribbon for the “sand”!

Stampin_up_colorful_seasons_carolpaynestamps1

Kari Dillingham used the Petal Garden designer paper with the Floral Statements stamps. It was easy to color with markers and watercolor pencils because the shading is included in the stamped image!

Stampin_up_floral_statements_carolpaynestamps1

Katie Wolters used Pocketful of Sunshine Bundle. I love everything about her card!

Stampin_up_pocketful_of_sunshine_carolpaynestamps1

Martha Swift used the Climbing Orchid Bundle for her charming double-door card:

Finally, Joanne Cantrell had us make the middle of these Daisy Delight cards. Starting basic:

Stampin_up_daisy_delight_carolpaynestamps1

We made this stepped-up version:

Stampin’ Up! Pocketful of Daisies!

Stampin’ Up! Pocketful of Daisies!

Hey there! I wasn't done playing with the Pocketful of Sunshine Bundle after I created yesterday's "COOL" birthday card, so I used the pocket stamp and coordinating framelit to create two color versions of this card:

Stampin_up_pocketful_of_sunshine_carolpaynestamps1

The Delightful Daisy Designer Paper has so many delightful designs, but I chose this one with all of the pretty little daisies to background the Night of Navy pocket embossed with white. I punched two white daisies to layer together before popping up on dimensionals. I added a Clear Faceted Gem to the center. I stamped the sunglasses with Daffodil Delight ink on Daffodil Delight card stock, cut it out with the Pocket Framelits die, then added Fine Tip Glue to give a glossy look to the frames.

Stampin_up_pocketful_of_sunshine_carolpaynestamps2

For my second color version I changed the layer behind the Delightful Daisy layer with a Whisper White one, punched the Daisy from Daffodil Delight card stock, and stamped and cut the sunglasses from Whisper White.

Stampin_up_pocketful_of_sunshine_carolpaynestamps4

I again added Fine Tip Glue to the frames of the sunglasses, and added a Gold Faceted Gem to the daisy center.

Stampin’ Up! Thailand Achiever’s Blog Hop June Edition: Annual Catalog Favorites!

Hey there! Welcome to the Thailand Incentive Trip Achiever's Blog Hop, June 2017! June's theme, "Annual Catalog  Favorites",  is incredible! We have ideas to make the most of the products you already have or showing you how to use things on your "wishlist"!

You may be starting the hop here at my blog – Carol Payne Stamps. The full list below will help you follow the hop so you'll see everything! Right now you're at Carol Payne.

For my project this month I pulled out a must-have bundle, Pocketful of Sunshine!

Stampin_up_pocketful_of_sunshine_carolpaynestamps1

My card was inspired by a t-shirt my grandson, Oakley, was wearing. I used the Large Letters Framelits to cut the "C" and the "L" from Tranquil Tide card stock, then stamped the sunglasses with Lemon Lime Twist on Whisper White and cut them out with the sunglasses framelit from the Pocket Framelit dies in the bundle.

Stampin_up_pocketful_of_sunshine_carolpaynestamps2

After cutting them out and adhering over a piece of Naturally Eclectic Designer Paper I rimmed the edges of the frames with Fine Tip Glue. It dried clear and glossy in a few minutes, but I kept it flat so it wouldn't run at first.

Stampin_up_pocketful_of_sunshine_carolpaynestamps4

I partially inked a Birthday Delivery phrase to get the "who's having a", then punched with the Classic Label.

Stampin_up_pocketful_of_sunshine_carolpaynestamps3

Then stamped and cut out the "BIRTHDAY" with Paper Snips.

Stampin_up_pocketful_of_sunshine_carolpaynestamps5

Inside I stamped another Birthday Delivery sentiment and stamped the sunglasses with stamped-off Lemon Lime Twist.
