Stampin’ Up! Lemon Zest!

Hey there! Today I have a couple of cards to share with the Annual Catalog set, Lemon Zest! I also used the Lemon Builder Punch that is bundled with it to save 10%!

I paired Lemon Zest with a print from the Tutti-Frutti 6" x 6" Designer Series Paper Stack:

To coordinate my lemon with the slices in the paper, I inked the image first with Daffodil Delight ink, then used a sponge dauber to add Calypso Coral ink around the edges. I punched it out with the Lemon Builder Punch.

After stamping the greeting with Tangerine Tango ink on a 1/2" wide strip, I punched the ends with the Everyday Label Punch.

Just another fun way to use this punch! More bang for your buck!

Stampin_up_lemon_zest_carolpaynestamps4

I used the same sponging technique on the orange slice for the inside. My hubby's birthday is coming up. I might use this one for him!

The other Lemon Zest card I want to share with you is a swap from Lyssa Zwolanek:

After stamping and punching out the citrus slices with the 1 3/4" Circle Punch, Lyssa pressed her Versamark ink pad on each slice, then heat embossed with a custom mixture of Clear Embossing Powder and Dazzling Diamonds Glitter. She adhered them over a background stamped with the splatter image from Painter's Palette ink in Soft Sky and Daffodil Delight. She added a couple of Glitter Enamel Dots for a bit more sparkle.

I love this inside sentiment from Lemon Zest!

Stampin’ Up! Sunday Swap Day Lemon Zest!

Stampin’ Up! Sunday Swap Day Lemon Zest!

Hey there! Happy Sunday Swap Day! Yesterday my husband and I traveled to Eastern Kentucky to visit the Creation Museum. It was an amazing experience to see the Bible, particularly Genesis presented in a way that explains many of the questions we all wonder about: Where did the world come from? God spoke. How long did it take the world to be created? Six literal days. How old is the world? About 6,000 years. How do dinosaurs fit into the Creation story and what happened to them? Dinosaurs were one of the "kinds" that were created by God, they were on the ark, and became extinct after the flood, probably due to the changed world after the flood. And that's just a FEW of the questions that were explained! We are going to see the Ark Encounter today. It's a full-scale replica of the ark, according the the dimensions God gave to Noah and recorded in the Bible. I'll report on this experience tomorrow!

Meanwhile, here's a few cards created with the Lemon Zest bundle!

First, Linda Pagel used Lemon Zest and the Lemon Builder punch from the bundle to create her pocket birthday card.

She used Soft Sky, Whisper White, Lemon Lime Twist, Tranquil Tide and Naturally Eclectic Designer Series Paper.

This could be a birthday card for your hubby!

Whisper White, Lemon Lime Twist, Daffodil Delight, and some Berry Burst for the "pop"!

Finally, Deb McCahan used Embossing Past and a stencil to create the background for her "crate of lemons":
