Stampin’ UP! Stampers Dozen Blog Hop December Edition A New Year!

Stampin’ UP! Stampers Dozen Blog Hop December Edition A New Year!

Hey there! It's December 15h, Stamper's Dozen Blog Hop time! yay!

1723402_10152213035905070_85588169_n

The theme is "A New Year", and if you're already on the hop you've seen some fun creations! I just LOVE what Stella MacKay of Stellar Stamps comes up with every month, don't you?

When I think of "A New Year", I naturally imagine parties, toasts, resolutions, and kisses at midnight. Stampin' Up! has perfect products to create invitations, cards, decorations, and scrap book pages to highlight theses festivities.

However, for 2015 "A New Year", all I'm thinking about is new grandbabies! TWO of my three daughters are due to give birth sometime in the next few weeks, so I created this card using both current and sneak peek products from the upcoming 2015 Spring Occasions Catalog:

The first 2015 grandbaby is a boy! I used Zoo Babies, Baby We've Grown, and Itty Bitty Banners stamps with Lost Lagoon, Whisper White, Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer Paper, and sneaky-peeky Sweet Dreams Designer Paper. I can hardly wait to show you the new product I'm using to form the letters to add his name after he gets here!

Stampin_up_zoo_babies_sweet_dreams_2 - Copy

I used bits and pieces from all three sets on the front, accented  by the sparkle of Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer Paper. I  tied a bit of Soft Sky Painted Blooms Cotton Twine (also a Sneak Peek) around the Lost Lagoon 3/8" Stitched Satin Ribbon bow for extra softness.

Except for the dimensional-popped-up-ear, all images were cut with a Big Shot framelit!

A clean & simple inside sentiment from Big News, framed above and below with 1/2" strips of Sweet Dreams Designer Paper.

Stampin’ Up! Curvy Keepsakes Box Christmas Robin!

Stampin’ Up! Curvy Keepsakes Box Christmas Robin!

Hey there! Busy day today! Liam in the morning, and then in the evening we went to the Sesser-Valier Jr. High Basketball game to watch our oldest granddaughter, Maddie Kate, cheer! Love.That.Girl.

In between, I've been working on the projects for the December Online Christmas Class. I found this project on Pinterest, then followed the trail to Zoe Tant  from the UK's blog. After you see this adorable little birdie you will want to watch her how-to video:

Stampin_up_curvy_keepsake_robin_2 - Copy

Isn't he just the cutest thing? This little guy was SO FUN and easy to make!

Here's the link to her video: Zoe Tant Christmas Robin Video

I am working on an instructional hand-out to send to my Online Class participants. My class will receive a kit with all the supplies to make two of these litle guys, as well as a set of tags and giftcardholders for a total of 6.

If you would like to receive a kit and instructions to make a couple of these little robins, just place an order in my Online Store this month using this Hostess Code: NCEMYRTS (this offer will expire on December 30th)

Stampin’ Up! 2015 Occasions Catalog and A Little Liam!

Stampin’ Up! 2015 Occasions Catalog and A Little Liam!

Hey there! I've not forgot about my blog, really I haven't! I've just had a take a little "break" since right before Thanksgiving. Things have been so much crazier busy than usual! I came down with a cold and a sinus infection right after Thanksgiving, which put me out of commission for a couple of days. This week has been non-stop, with something going on every evening and quite a bit of somethings thrown in during the day. It's all good, but whew!

Wednesday I was able to go with 7 of my downline, the Yes, Mam! Stampers, to Fenton, MO for the Stampin' Up! Occasions Catalog and Sale-a-bration Kick-off. I can't show you much from the Sneak Peeks we got to see, but I can show you the covers of both Catalogs!

Spring 2015 Occasions (you can purchase the kit to make this bouquet starting January 6!)

544960_10152404641496813_3119645763457038649_n

And Sale-a-bration:

10846496_10152404641031813_1570595617708062896_n

If you have purchased from me in the past year you should receive a copy of these in your mailbox in just a few weeks!

Both catalogs go live for customers on January 6th, so you only have a month to wait to start ordering! Let me assure you, you are going to LOVE the products to purchase from the Occasions and are going to want to get ALL of the free items from the Sale-a-bration catalog! I made my first pre-order from the Occasions Catalog this morning and earned  a few,  "wink, wink" Sale-a-bration items. I can't wait to start creating and sharing new ideas with you!

You probably should check out my website right away. Stampin' Up! has posted new items on our Clearance Rack for our Year-End Closeout!

That's all for now. I have a party tomorrow morning AND a craft/vendor fair tomorrow afternoon and evening. Sunday is our rescheduled November birthdays gathering and then Monday I have my last party of 2014. After that I can get serious about my present wrapping and finishing up my shopping!

Before I go, I just have to share with you a little bit of Liam from a few days ago. He loves to stack things. He stacks my clear blocks quite a bit, but the other day he stacked these:

Liam's stack November 2014

Not too shabby, considering the stack started at his shoulders and ended higher than his head! He's my little buddy!

Until tomorrow, have a Stampingrox! day!

Stampin’ Up! Sketched Birthday Easel Card!

Stampin’ Up! Sketched Birthday Easel Card!

Good morning! Happy Friday! I'm at Alisa & Cody's helping with Baby Oakley for the next few days, so I'm in Grammie heaven!

Today I have a card that I CASED from myself! I posted my first easel Chalkboarding card HERE. I take my samples to workshops and if someone wants to make a display card at an upcoming party, I do my best to bring it to them. This card is an example of my efforts to grant a group's request.

Easel 1
The card from the earlier post was made with stamps (inside & out) that have now retired, so I redid it with the current stamp set, Sketched Birthday. What do you think? I really love the little Real Red Brights Candy Dots in the three corners!

Here's a rundown of the products used:

Stamps: Sketched Birthday

Paper: Soft Suede, Basic Black, Real Red

Ink: Versamark, Soft Suede Classic

Accessories: Big Shot, Woodgrain Textured Impressions Folder, Embossing Buddy, White Embossing Powder, Heat Tool, 1 1/4" Scallop Circle Punch, 1 3/8" Circle Punch, Brights Candy Dots, White Gel Pen, ruler (not Stampin' Up!), Itty Bitty Shapes Punch Pack, Basic Jewel Rhinestones, Stampin' Trimmer

Easel 2

That's all for now! I'm loving my time cuddling with Oakley!

Until tomorrow, have a Stampingrox! day!

Stampin’ Up! Label Love/Alphabet Press!

Stampin’ Up! Label Love/Alphabet Press!

Just a quick post. Alisa, Cody, and baby Oakley are coming home from the hospital today and I am packing to go spend the next week with them! yay!

Until I get a chance to show you more Oakley pics, here's a card for you:

Label love 1

This is one of my convention swaps. (Even though I didn't get to go, I am still participating in a couple of organized swaps. I signed up for them a long time ago, before it became apparent that Oakley was waiting to come because wanted his Grammie to stay home with him instead!)

Label love 2

Stamps: Label Love, Make a Wish, Off the Grid

Paper: Early Espresso, Crisp Cantaloupe, Very Vanilla, Soho Subway Designer Paper

Ink: Crisp Cantaloupe, Early Espresso, Sahara Sand

Accessories: Artisan Label Punch, Brayer, Big Shot, Alphabet Press Textured Impressions Folder, 1 1/4" Burlap Ribbon (in the upcoming Holiday Catalog), Neutrals Candy Dots

Stampingrox Technique Tip: I brayered the negative (flat) side of the Alphabet Press folder with Crisp Cantaloupe ink before inserting the Crisp Cantaloupe paper and cranking through the Big Shot to achieve the tone-on-tone darker look for the letters! Fun! You could also sponge the ink or rub the inkpad directly on the folder if you do not yet own a brayer.

Until tomorrow, have a Stampingrox! day!

Stampin’ Up! Sunday Swap Day #2!

Stampin’ Up! Sunday Swap Day #2!

Good morning & happy Sunday! It's "Sunday Swap Day" today, so I will get right to sharing with you more of the swaps I received last month using new catalog products!

First up is a "wiper card" by Linda Pagel using the Giggle Greetings stamp set on page 29 of the new catalog:

Linda pagel 1

When you pull the punched-out circle tabs on each end of the card, the "wiper" pops up with a greeting from Petite Pairs! FUN! I've never made one of these cards, but now that I have one, I will be able to "reverse engineer" it and figure it out! yay!

Linda pagel 2

Next, a fun masculine card by Lorraine Duran using the Rev Up the Fun! stamp set on page 51 and the Chevron Textured Impressions Folder with aluminum foil adhered to cardstock. This is a gatefold card.

Lorraine duran

Finally for today, an encouragement card with the new Mosaic Madness stamp set on page 123 and the Blooming with Kindness set on page 65. The Modern Mosaic Textured Impressions Folder pulls the Double Time stamping technique together very nicely!

Modern mosaic blooming with kindness 1

Soft Suede ink stamped on Soft Suede cardstock paired with Midnight Muse ink & cardstock gives this card a calm and serene feel.

Modern mosaic blooming with kindess 2

Well, that's all for now! Thanks for stopping in today. Hope your day Stampingrox!
