Stampin’ UP! Stampers Dozen Blog Hop December Edition A New Year!

Hey there! It's December 15h, Stamper's Dozen Blog Hop time! yay!

The theme is "A New Year", and if you're already on the hop you've seen some fun creations! I just LOVE what Stella MacKay of Stellar Stamps comes up with every month, don't you?

When I think of "A New Year", I naturally imagine parties, toasts, resolutions, and kisses at midnight. Stampin' Up! has perfect products to create invitations, cards, decorations, and scrap book pages to highlight theses festivities.

However, for 2015 "A New Year", all I'm thinking about is new grandbabies! TWO of my three daughters are due to give birth sometime in the next few weeks, so I created this card using both current and sneak peek products from the upcoming 2015 Spring Occasions Catalog:

The first 2015 grandbaby is a boy! I used Zoo Babies, Baby We've Grown, and Itty Bitty Banners stamps with Lost Lagoon, Whisper White, Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer Paper, and sneaky-peeky Sweet Dreams Designer Paper. I can hardly wait to show you the new product I'm using to form the letters to add his name after he gets here!

I used bits and pieces from all three sets on the front, accented  by the sparkle of Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer Paper. I  tied a bit of Soft Sky Painted Blooms Cotton Twine (also a Sneak Peek) around the Lost Lagoon 3/8" Stitched Satin Ribbon bow for extra softness.

Except for the dimensional-popped-up-ear, all images were cut with a Big Shot framelit!

A clean & simple inside sentiment from Big News, framed above and below with 1/2" strips of Sweet Dreams Designer Paper.

Most of today's products are avaialble now, but a few aren't until after the Occasions Catalog goes live on January 6th. Click HERE or on any image below to order in my Online Store:

Stampin’ Up! It’s Sunday Swap Day with Something for Baby!

Stampin’ Up! It’s Sunday Swap Day with Something for Baby!

Hey there! It's Sunday, which means it's time to share some swaps! I know I've been absent from my blog quite a bit this week. Part of the reason is I broke my camera lens a few weeks ago and now when I take pics with my little point-and-shoot I'm just not happy with them at all. A new lens has finally been ordered, so hopefully it will come in soon and I can get my blogging mojo back.

Today I have three baby cards to share, all using the new set, Something for Baby!

First, Raedean Shibata created this simple congratulations card, including paper-piercing using a template from the Festive Paper Piercing pack and a greeting from Something to Say. She paired Crisp Cantaloupe cardstock with a selection from the Lullaby Designer Paper pack.

Stampin_up_something_for_baby_1

She used Crisp Cantaloupe and Hello Honey Stampin' Write Markers to ink the bib stamp. Sooooo cute!

Next, a much larger image from Something for Baby was used for this card, which unfortunately I have lost the creator's info. Some swappers attach their info on the back of the card on a post-it note, which helps me keep the name with the card, but some do not. If it's just loose with the card, it's much more likely to get lost as I take the swaps with me to workshops and classes.

Stampin_up_something_for_baby_2

This card features just Whisper White and Daffodil Delight. Just two colors, but it makes a very visually pleasing look! The rhinestones were colored with one of the Daffodil Delight Blendability markers, which should finally be available in a few weeks.

Lastly, I CASED this card from Deb Valder. Deb makes the most amazing cards. I stepped up just a few things, but I'd definitely going to be making more cards with this template, and I know you are going to want to know how!

Stampin_up_something_for_baby_block_2

This card stands up on it's own and is called a "block card". Doesn't it look just like a stack of baby blocks? Images from Something for Baby were cut with the coordinating Baby's First Framelits.

Stampin_up_something_for_baby_block_1

(Please pardon the sawdust. Apparently we have wood bees trying to make a home in our deck roof!) I cut the numbers with the "1, 2, and 3" from the File Tabs Edgelits Dies.

Stampin_up_something_for_baby_block_3

Pretty, pretty, pretty!

On the top blocks I stamped more phrases from Something to Say:

The tiny little hearts were punched with the Owl Builder Punch.

Baby Oakley Has Arrived!

Baby Oakley Has Arrived!

I am VERY HAPPY to announce the arrival of baby Oakely Dentyn Hiller!

Tuesday, July 16th, 8:55 p.m.

7 lbs. 14 oz.

21 3/4" long!

LOTS of dark hair!

Mother & baby are doing great! Tired, but great!

Here he is!

Oakley 1

He's wearing the onesie his mommy created for him to announce her pregnancy on Christmas Eve last year. "Swody" is a blend of our family name for her, "Sweed", and his daddy's name, Cody!

That strange thing attached to Oakley's ankle is the hospital security device. If someone were to try to leave the hospital with this attached to a baby, all the doors and elevators would lock and shut down!

Here's all the "Mark & Carol Payne Grandkids" as of today:

Payne grandkids 1
l to r: Ava Claire, Liam Percival, Maddie Kate, Oakley Dentyn, Jaxon William, and Johnny Mark Cohen!

I am SO BLESSED!!!!!

I'm tired too, as I spent all of yesterday at the hospital, but it's a happy tired!

Not much else to report, this is my world right now!

Until tomorrow, have a Stampingrox! day!

NSR: Baby Oakley is On His Way!

NSR: Baby Oakley is On His Way!

Quick post! Just wanted to let you know that Baby Oakley is on his way! They went into the hospital at 9 last night to get things started!

The original plan was for me to wait until this morning to go in, but since it's a new hospital (and I needed to see my baby girl!) Mark & I went in for a little while last night!

Here's the Mommy & Daddy, waiting for their little fellow to arrive:

Waiting

So now it's almost 6 a.m. and Jessica is on her way to pick me up and we are going in together. Jessica is the official birth photographer and I just get to be there! Yay!

Pray for a safe delivery and a healthy little baby boy!

My day ALREADY Stampingrox!

A Darling Surprise!

A Darling Surprise!

I held my Scallop Square Purse Classes this weekend, and my daughter, Alisa, helped me with guiding the class attendees through the steps to make their purses. We held a Friday night class and one on Saturday morning, so she & her husband, Cody, spent the night so she could sleep in until the last minute! She is more of a night-owl than I am, so when I got up on Saturday morning I was delighted to find these adorable baby-sized purses waiting for me!

We had received a request from one of our friends for a toddler-sized Scallop Square purse, and the only requirement was that it be pink! I had commented to Alisa that we needed to try making a purse with the smaller squares from the new Scallop Squares Duo Die in the Holiday Mini. Well, I need to remember from now on that with my Alisa, it is ask-and-you-shall-receive!

To give you more perspective on how tiny these purses are, here's the standard, 6-panel Scallop Square purse we've been making these past months and our customers have made in our purse classes:

©Stampin'Up!™1999-2010 (and yes, this purse IS for sale, it's made with gorgeous fabric called "California Dreamin" and can be yours for only $40!)

Now, here's the 4-panel purses we've been selling to a lot of grandma's for their grand-daughters!

006

©Stampin'Up!™1999-2010 (this purse is also for sale for $30!)

Now here's a baby purse compared to the 4-panel purse:

009

©Stampin'Up!™1999-2010 The baby-sized purses are for sale for $20!

Well, I'm back to the stamp room for the day getting ready for my 14 workshops this month! Wish me luck with the papercutter! Contact me if you want to purchase one of these purses for yourself or as a fantastic gift for someone special!

Until tomorrow, have a Stampingrox! day!
