Stampin’ Up! Owl Anniversary!

Stampin’ Up! Owl Anniversary!

Good morning! Yesterday was a fun day! I went to my aunt & uncles 60th Wedding Anniversary Celebration, and I was able to see relatives I haven't seen in years, talk & laugh with my favorite cousins, and see pictures of my ancestors I had never seen before!

I took several pictures of the pictures (I figure that's the only way I will ever be able to have copies, right?) and I want to share a few of those with you at a later date (some have interesting stories), but today I want to share the card I made for the celebrated couple:

Anniversary 1

This card is a souped-up version of one of the cards we made at my "Best of" class this past Friday. Not too hard to figure out, the bow for her hair was made with 2 of the hearts from the Owl Builder Punch and his bow-tie was made with the cut off feet from the same punch!

Anniversary 2

The inside phrase is from the Best of Brides & Babies 25th Anniversary Collection set, I added the "both" with my Basic Black marker.

Anniversary 3

I finished off the envelope with the Fancy Fan folder embossing the flap and a Secret Garden leaf framelit.

That's all for now! I'm off to Sunday morning church!

Until tomorrow, have a Stampingrox! day!

Stampin’ Up! Happy Little Hedgehog!

Stampin’ Up! Happy Little Hedgehog!

Good morning! On a bright & happy Sunday morning I want to share this happy little girl with you! "Hedgie" was another one of our projects for my Punch/Technique Class yesterday:

Hedgie 1
©Stampin'Up!™1990-2013

Isn't she just darling? She is a CASE of a swap my downline, Angela, received at the St Louis Regional. When everyone at our table saw it, they immediately asked me to make her for my next Punch Class. I said, "No problem"!

A few days later when I went shopping with my girls I found the wiggle eyes at the "H" store. They were a necessity for Hedgie's feminine look!

Hedgie 2
©Stampin'Up!™1990-2013

Her body is two 2 3/8" Scallop Circle Punches which have been sponged with White Craft ink. Her head is a 1 3/4" Scallop Circle Punch that has had 4 of the scallops punched off with an oval punch like this:

Hedgie 4
©Stampin'Up!™1990-2013

The remaining circle has been attached to a Crumb Cake Blossom Petals Punch largest petal.

Hedgie 6
©Stampin'Up!™1990-2013

Her nose is the Itty Bitty Shapes Punch Pack circle, her feet are the smallest petal from the Blossom Petals Punch, and her bow is from the Owl Builder Punch heart.

That's all for today! Don't forget the FREE SHIPPING ON EVERYTHING that is still going on today and tomorrow!

Stampin’Up! Guest Stamper, Joyce Fisher!

Stampin’Up! Guest Stamper, Joyce Fisher!

One of the many things I enjoy about being a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator is building friendships with my customers and my downline. Today's post is all about one of my downline, Joyce! I met Joyce at least 6 years ago and she has been stamping with me ever since. About a year ago, last July in fact, she decided to join my group of "Yes Ma'am!" downline. Since then we have grown even closer as she is a faithful attendee of my meetings and many of my classes. At the "Brides & Babies" class this past weekend, she brought a small stack of cards she had been working on and they were so delightful I had to take pictures and asked her if she would like to be a guest stamper here on "Stampingrox My Fuzzy Blue Sox!" With Joyce's permission, here are her creations:

Strawberry lemonade
©Stampin'Up!™1990-2012

Inspired by many others out here in blogland, Joyce created an over-sized card for her "Strawberry Lemonade" or "Margarita" card. In lieu of microbeads for the edge of the cup, Joyce added actual salt to the Sticky Strip! So ingenious!

Another ingenious card, Joyce's "Mother's Day Word Search" card she created to give to her daughters on Mother's Day!

Here are all the words for her daughters to find that Joyce used to describe them!

Apparently there is a website where you can put in all the words you want in your wordsearch and it will create it for you, but Joyce painstakingly created this all on her own! Yay Joyce!

Next Joyce created this beautifully sponged card with the Bird Builder Punched silhouette. This card has an elegant, masculine feel to it. Very well done!

I loved Joyce's Owl Builder Punch nurse! So cute, and using the vest of the owl to create the nurse's cap is just so simple! The color combo of Riding Hood Red, Marina Mist, Soft Suede and Whisper White really give this card a "first aid kit" feel!

Last-but-not-least, Joyce found directions on SCS for this adorable pleated dress made with "Twitterpated" Designer Paper, which is NOT retiring!

Stampin’Up! Punch Class Graduation Owl!

Stampin’Up! Punch Class Graduation Owl!

I've been working on the projects for Punch/Technique Class this month and found inspiration for an adorable graduation card somewhere on the web, but right now I can't remember who. If you know who came up with this cutie patootie, let me know so I can give them credit! Lookie:

Grad cap card 1
©Stampin'Up!™1990-2012

An okay card from this side, kind of plain, but a pretty good representation of a graduation cap, (the "happy graduation" is from "Teeny Tiny Wishes") but the real fun starts when you turn it over:

Then open the box-like folds:

TAA-DAAA!!!!!

Purty cute, dontcha think???? His nose is the heart that is part of the Owl Builder Punch, his wings are from the 1 3/4" Scallop Circle Punch cut down with the Paper Snips, and his cap is a rectangle that starts out 1" x 1 1/2",  is scored at 1/2" and 3/4" on two sides with the Simply Scored, then hand-trimmed with the Paper Snips. The cap base is from the Petite Pennants Builder Punch then hand-trimmed with the Paper Snips. A tassel of White Baker's Twine and the 1/2" Circle Punch finish the cap off perfectly!

That's it for today! I have to finish Kimberly's baby shower thank-you's before her next shower this afternoon!  I'm stamping and assembling them, SHE is actually writing the thank-you notes! Oh, and I need show you the decorations from her shower this past Sunday, don't I?

Until tomorrow, have a "Stampingrox!" Day!

Stampin’Up! Owl Builder Punch Overalls!

Stampin’Up! Owl Builder Punch Overalls!

Happy Tuesday Stampers! Sunday afternoon, Kimberly & I started figuring out the invitations for her baby shower in May. Her colors for the baby's room (a boy! but he doesn't have a name yet) are Basic Black, Basic Gray, Cherry Cobbler and White. Come to think of it, her whole house is almost all this color too, so she really must love it! As soon as we decided to use these colors for her shower invitation, I knew exactly what I wanted to do, adorable little overalls made from the vest of the Owl Builder Punch!

Kimmys baby shower photo

Aren't they adorable????!!!!!!

Overalls
©Stampin'Up!™1990-2012

The clouds are from "Send Me Soaring" in the Occasions Mini, the clothesline is Cherry Cobbler/White Baker's Twine, and the pockets are from the 1/4" Square Punch (now retired), but you could substitute the squares that are cut out with the Candywrapper Die. The tiny heart pocket is also from the Owl Builder Punch.

The overalls are punched from Basic Black cardstock, Cherry Cobbler Patterns Designer Paper, and Twitterpated Designer Paper. I used my Paper Snips to cut the little "v" in the bottom edge of the punched vest to create the legs of the overalls.

We have made 75 of these, which will be going out in the mail next week after she gets her baby registry set up.

Until tomorrow, have a "Stampingrox!" day!
