Stampin’Up! Owl Builder Punch Overalls!

Stampin’Up! Owl Builder Punch Overalls!

Happy Tuesday Stampers! Sunday afternoon, Kimberly & I started figuring out the invitations for her baby shower in May. Her colors for the baby's room (a boy! but he doesn't have a name yet) are Basic Black, Basic Gray, Cherry Cobbler and White. Come to think of it, her whole house is almost all this color too, so she really must love it! As soon as we decided to use these colors for her shower invitation, I knew exactly what I wanted to do, adorable little overalls made from the vest of the Owl Builder Punch!

Aren't they adorable????!!!!!!

The clouds are from "Send Me Soaring" in the Occasions Mini, the clothesline is Cherry Cobbler/White Baker's Twine, and the pockets are from the 1/4" Square Punch (now retired), but you could substitute the squares that are cut out with the Candywrapper Die. The tiny heart pocket is also from the Owl Builder Punch.

The overalls are punched from Basic Black cardstock, Cherry Cobbler Patterns Designer Paper, and Twitterpated Designer Paper. I used my Paper Snips to cut the little "v" in the bottom edge of the punched vest to create the legs of the overalls.

We have made 75 of these, which will be going out in the mail next week after she gets her baby registry set up.

Until tomorrow, have a "Stampingrox!" day!

December 1st means Christmas REALLY IS coming!

December 1st means Christmas REALLY IS coming!

Good morning Stampers! Happy December 1st! Does reality set in for you on this day every year? It does for me.This is the day when I realize I REALLY ABSOLUTELY HAVE TO GET SERIOUS ABOUT GETTING READY FOR CHRISTMAS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Until today I can be more relaxed about it all and work on Christmas when it is convenient, but from today on, Christmas becomes my focus! As a lot of you know, I have a large family; 6 kids-three married daughters and 3 and more-than-a-half grandchildren! My husband comes from a large family too; he is one of 8, and this is the year they all come home for Christmas!

With that said, I now have all of you to help me stay accountable for keeping my focus on the Christmas Holidays and everything that needs to be ready before they start!

In case you need more inspiration for Christmas, today I am sharing an adorable owl card we made at the West Frankfort class earlier this week:

Riding Hood red is the card base color, which as been stamped with Riding Hood Red snowflakes and sponged with Whisper White Craft ink and a sponge dauber.

This was a quick, 2 card class, so we dispensed with building the owl's eyes, (which are included in the Owl Builder Punch), and added google-eyes with Mini Glue Dots. If I had it to do over again I would white emboss the "Christmas Greetings" on the front, but oh well, sometimes you just have to go the easy route and let yourself off the hook!

Gotta go now, and get crackin' on that "to do" list!

Until tomorrrow, have a "Stampingrox!" day
