Stampin’ Up! Mixed Borders!

Stampin’ Up! Mixed Borders!

Hey there! Today's card is another with the Bleach Technique. I love it when I'm playing with a technique and the ideas just keep rollin'!

For today's card I started by bleach stamping Soft Sky card stock with Touches of Texture stamps to get a Very Vanilla color. After the bleach finished developing and dried, I stamped the Definitely Dahlia Background with Versamark in the upper right corner.

Stampin_up_mixed_borders_carolpaynestamps1 - Copy

I used the new Mixed Borders to stamp the Very Vanilla greeting banner that I had punched with the Banner Triple Punch. I used Basic Black Archival ink for the leaves, then stamped the greeting with Pool Party. The Mixed Borders set leaves a space within the border so you can stamp the words in it! I tied a bit of new Basic Black Solid Baker's Twine around the banner in a knot.

Hopefully you can see the Versamark-stamped Definitely Dahlia better in this picture:

Stampin_up_mixed_borders_carolpaynestamps3 - Copy

Inside I stamped the dahlia again with Pool Party and used a Basic Black Stampin' Write Marker to ink up just part of a stamp from One Big Meaning.

Stampin’ Up! Wisteria Wonder Touches of Texture!

Stampin’ Up! Wisteria Wonder Touches of Texture!

Hey there! Today's card features the bleach technique on Wisteria Wonder. As I've said before, when you're stamping with bleach, you never know what color you will discover!

When I stamped Wisteria Wonder with bleach and Touches of Texture images I found an almost Blushing Bride color! yay!

Stampin_up_touches_of_texture_carolpaynestamps1 - Copy

The center of each bleached line is a creamy white, but the edges are Blushing Bride, so I used new Blushing Bride 3/8" Stitched Satin Ribbon to coordinate. I stamped the background with stamped-off Wisteria Wonder and another flower image from Touches of Texture.

Stampin_up_touches_of_texture_carolpaynestamps2 - Copy

I stamped a phrase from another new set, Birthday Banners, punched with the new Classic Label punch.

 Stampin_up_touches_of_texture_carolpaynestamps3 - Copy

Inside I used the same bloom that I used to stamp the front with bleach, stamping this time with Wisteria Wonder. I used a tiny stippled image with Blushing Bride, and finished with the coordinating phrase from Birthday Banners.

Stampin’ Up! Touches of Texture!

Stampin’ Up! Touches of Texture!

Hey there! I didn't get a chance to stamp all weekend, can you believe it?

So here I am on Monday morning working on some projects due this week, the first being today's blog post! After playing  with bleach last week, I wanted to try different colors of card stock. Sweet Sugarplum, a new In Color, combined with Rich Razzleberry and Whisper White is super-duper!

Stampin_up_touches_of_texture_carolpaynestamps1 - Copy

I used the delicate spray of blooms from Touches of Texture,  "inking" with bleach. After letting the bleach develop, I stamped a few Touches of Texture dragonflies, with Sweet Sugarplum, embossing with the Brick Wall Folder.

Stampin_up_touches_of_texture_carolpaynestamps2 - Copy

The bleach brought out a creamy white!

Simply pour a little bleach carefully onto a couple of folded paper towels on a plate, enough to wet the towels, but no puddles.

IMG_2839 - Copy

I white heat-embossed a phrase from Better Together on vellum,  cutting with the banner framelit in the Gift Card Envelope & Trims Thinlets. I rolled up a couple of glue dots to hide behind the "J" in just and the "e" in note to adhere to the card front under the Sweet Sugar Plum 3/8" Ruched Ribbon.

Stampin_up_touches_of_texture_carolpaynestamps3 - Copy

Inside I used a Greatest Greetings phrase and more dragonflies, lining the envelope with Playful Palette Designer Series Paper.

Stampin’ Up! Sunday Swap Day Pun Intended!

Stampin’ Up! Sunday Swap Day Pun Intended!

Hey there! It's Sunday morning, so it's time for swaps! yay!

Today I'm sharing swaps all made with the Pun Intended Host set. Some arrived with their creator's name and some didn't, so if there's no name it's because I don't know who they are.

This card  features the camera from Pun Intended with colors of Whisper White, Basic Black, and Melon Mambo. A strip of Playful Palette Washi Tape adds extra color.

Stampin_up_pun_intended_carolpaynestamps1

The creator highlighted one camera by cutting it out and dimensionaling it onto a Smoky Slate 2" Circle, and adding Clear Wink of Stella and a Rhinestone.

Stampin_up_pun_intended_carolpaynestamps2

Terri Meehan used Flirty Flamingo, Peeakaboo Peach, Dapper Denim, and Whisper White for her "News Flash" creation:

Stampin_up_pun_intended_carolpaynestamps3

This "SNAPPY BIRTHDAY" CARD  has Peekaboo Peach, Basic Black, Very Vanilla, and Playful Palette Designer Paper:

Stampin_up_pun_intended_carolpaynestamps4

Kristin Kortonick used the light bulb from Pun Intended with Layering Squares Framelits and Affectionately Yours Washi Tape:

Stampin_up_pun_intended_carolpaynestamps7

She embossed the bulb with new Copper Embossing Powder, coordinating well with the copper-flecked washi tape!

Stampin_up_pun_intended_carolpaynestamps8

Jenna Roby turned the light bulb into a mini-shaker, with Playful Palette Designer Paper.

Stampin_up_pun_intended_carolpaynestamps5

The new Foam Adhesive Strips are easy to bend to the bulb shape. She hand-cut the negative space , then added a few gold sequins to shake!

Stampin_up_pun_intended_carolpaynestamps6

Amy Storrie used the Spotlighting technique for her Whisper White, Flirty Flamingo, and Basic Black creation:

Stampin_up_pun_intended_carolpaynestamps9

To spotlight, Amy stamped the bulb once on the card front, then stamped again on a scrap, cut it out, sponged with Daffodil Delight ink, and colored the heart with a Flirty Flamingo marker. She added it over the first bulb with a Stampin' Dimensional.

Stampin_up_pun_intended_carolpaynestamps10

Laura Milligan used the cute bumblebee from Pun Intended, keeping it simple with lots of Whisper White and pops of Melon Mambo!

Stampin_up_pun_intended_carolpaynestamps11

Genevieve Ko used Mint Macaron, Smoky Slate, and Whisper White for her "Happy bee-day" creation:

Stampin_up_pun_intended_carolpaynestamps12

Finally, Judy Anderson combined Affectionately Yours Specialty Designer Paper with the Pun Intended bee for a sweet "just because" card:

Stampin’ Up! Birthday Fiesta!

Stampin’ Up! Birthday Fiesta!

Hey there! The Birthday Fiesta llama is soooooo cute! I just had to have him!

I wanted to make a shaker card, so I used the easel fold to display it!

Stampin_up_birthday_fiesta_easel_carolpaynestamps1 - Copy

I used almost every product in the Festive Birthday Suite (pgs 10-11 Annual Catalog): Birthday Fiesta, Festive Birthday Designer Series Paper, Fiesta Time Framelits Dies (bundled with Birthday Fiesta stamps to save 10%!), and Festive Textured Impressions Embossing Folder.

Stampin_up_birthday_fiesta_easel_carolpaynestamps2 - Copy

I used a Window Sheet for the shaker, new Sprinkles Punch, Brights Sequins Assortment, and new Layering Ovals Framelits.

Stampin_up_birthday_fiesta_easel_carolpaynestamps3 - Copy

Mr. Llama is so shaggy it would be difficult to smoothly hand-cut, but it's a snap with the framelit from the Fiesta Time Framelits!

I cut a Melon Mambo "blanket" for Mr. Llama with a Fiesta Time framelit, then stamped and white-heat-embossed the design.

Stampin_up_birthday_fiesta_easel_carolpaynestamps4 - Copy

I cut a Pumpkin Pie banner with the framelit, then white-heat-embossed the images, reminiscent of Mexican Folk Art "Papel Picado". You can read about papel picado HERE.

I embossed the Emerald Envy and Festive Birthday layers with the Festive folder.
