Stampin’ Up! Big News for Dolores!

Hey there! We had a splendid Easter! Twenty-five family members, including my husband's mother, celebrating her 88th birthday! We had the traditional Easter lunch, birthday cake and ice cream, and then an afternoon Easter egg hunt!

Dolores' favorite color is purple, so I made this card with Floral Wings and Big News:

I started with a Blackberry Bliss card base, layered Wisteria Wonder and Mint Macaron, then the Whisper White stamped layer.

The large butterfly image needed a large greeting, so I used a greeting from Big News that's large but not overpowering with its' narrow font.

The Floral Wings butterfly uses a three-step stamping technique. All photopolymer, stamp the butterfly with Wisteria Wonder, then add Mint Macaron leaves, and finally Blackberry Bliss blooms. A line of pearls finishes the center. Pearls Basic Jewels are ON SALE until the end of today on the Weekly Deals!

Inside I stamped more Floral Wings. "Enjoy the fuss" is also from Big News.

Stampin’ Up! Party Wishes Pocket Card!

Hey there! Today many of you will be receiving my email newsletter containing info about my #imbringingbirthdaysback stamp-a-stack, so I wanted to show you one of the cards we will be making that I am VERY EXCITED about!

It's a pocket card with BIRTHDAY CAKE GUM! How stinkin' cute!

I saw a card somewhere with a pack of the gum on the front, which inspired me to FIND the gum (it's at Target check-out lines) and then create my own design!

I wanted to use my Party Wishes set, and then pulled out Color Me Irresistible Designer Series Paper to color Wisteria Wonder with my brayer.

It's hard to see in the picture, but after I colored the cupcake with Pink Pirouette ink, I colored the bottom with my Early Espresso marker directly on top of the pink ink. I did the same with the cake stand. I also used my Clear Wink of Stella Glitter Brush on the cupcake frosting.

Stampin’ Up! Party Wishes Pocket Card!

Stampin’ Up! Timeless Elegance Tea Party!

Hey there! I was inspired by Patty Bennett to create this gate fold card for my monthly swap. I made 21 with a little (ahem, A LOT) help from my sweet hubby manning the Big Shot:

I used Timeless Elegance Designer Paper (retiring May 31) for the background and tea pot:

and tea cup:

Cups & Kettle Framelits Dies cut them out. The tiny teabag is also a Cups & Kettle die. I added Silver Metallic Thread between two teabag layers to dangle from the tea cup.

Here's a little storage/organization tip:

Purchase magnetic vent covers from a home improvement store. The ones I purchased had three loooong lightweight magnetic covers for less than $5. Cut to fit the die packaging with household scissors.

Dies stay put on the magnetic sheet!

I cut Very Vanilla with tea pot and cup dies, then adhered with Tombow Multipurpose glue for stability.

I put dimensionals on only one side of the shape:

I cut the spoon from Silver Foil, and added the greeting from Birthday Blooms, cut with the smallest Lots of Labels Framelit, using Stampin' Dimensionals.

Inside is all Birthday Blooms:

I combined the coffee stain with the "created by" copyright stamp from Creatively Yours, then hand-wrote my name with a Tip Top Taupe Stampin' Write Marker. A uniquely personal copyright! yay!

Stampin’ Up! Zoo Babies for #imbringingbirthdaysback!

Hey there! Today's card was created with Zoo Babies and Number of Years sets. You can find another card I created with these sets HERE.

I used another sheet of the It's My Party Designer Paper Stack for the background. "LOOK WHO'S TURNING" and the number are both from Number of Years. Customize with any number from 1 to infinity with this set!

I didn't draw the balloon string, it's included in Party Pants, also used for "Happy Birthday to you" on the balloon punched with the Balloon Bouquet punch. Party Pants is a Sale-a-bration set, so you can only get it free with your $50 order through March 31st!

Inside I used the Party Pop-Up! Die. These dies are easy to use; they have a tab at the top and bottom of the die to line up with the fold line of the layer:

I used the Precision Base Plate and the Big Shot Die Brush for the the intricacies of this die:

Hey there! Today's card was created with Zoo Babies and Number of Years sets. You can find another card I created with these sets HERE.

Inside I used the Party Pop-Up! Die. These dies are easy to use; they have a tab at the top and bottom of the die to line up with the fold line of the layer:

I used the Precision Base Plate and the Big Shot Die Brush for the the intricacies of this die:
