Stampin’ Up! Guy Greetings is So Vintage!

Hey there! Today I have the second card we made at the Mt Vernon Library Class on Saturday using the Guy Greetings and That Thing You Did sets:

We used Crumb Cake Note Cards and Envelopes to make prep for these cards a snap!

We stamped the car on a Crumb Cake layer before embossing with the Woodgrain folder.

It was easy to combine these two sets! Just as easy as corner-rounding the greeting layer with the Envelope Punch Board!

Nearly mono-chromatic stamping and sponging with Crumb Cake ink makes this card both vintage and masculine.

Stampin’ Up! Cherry on Top Banner Card!

Hey there! I'm sorry I didn't get to do a Sunday Swap Day post. After Sunday dinner I went down for a "30 minute" nap that lasted about two hours, but I'm feeling much better today!

Today I have one of the cards we made at the library on Saturday using Cherry on Top Designer Paper, Fabulous Four, Party Pants, and the Balloon Bouquet Punch:

I love this layout of banners punched with the Banner Triple Punch. It's quick but shows off several pretty patterns of paper at the same time!

ALWAYS remember to stamp your words first, then emboss!

Here's a fun trick to tie the strings on the balloons: make an open loop with your string, slide the loop under the balloon end, then pull the string tight around the end and trim te end of the string!

Gather the string ends together, secure with a glue dot, then tie a separate bow and adhere over the gathered area with another glue dot.

Inside we stamped another phrase from Fabulous Four and added a tiny balloon punched with one of the Party Pack Punches.

Stampin’ Up! Botanical Builders Fancy Fold!

Hey there! As many of you probably already know, I participate in the Mediterranean Achiever's Blog Hop near the end of every month. Anywhere from 25-40 Stampin' Up! demonstrators from around the globe who have achieved the Grand Vacation Incentive Trip share a project. For the January hop Kirsteen Gill created a "Fancy Fold" card and included a free tutorial. I used her tutorial for today's card. I used a Rose Red card base, Botanical Builders Framelits, Timeless Elegance Designer Paper, and phrases from Suite Sayings and All Boxed Up!

This card is 5 1/4" x 5 1/4" square, so I created a custom-envelope with the Envelope Punch Board. I cut my paper 9" x 9".

I used Botanical Builder framelits with Rose Red, Blushing Bride, Basic Black, and Mossy Meadow for the flowers and leaves.

I colored rhinestones with a black Sharpie for the flower centers and sponged Rose Red and Blushing Bride ink on the blooms for more depth.

Stampin’ Up! Botanical Builders Fancy Fold!

This card is 5 1/4" x 5 1/4" square, so I created a custom-envelope with the Envelope Punch Board. I cut my paper 9" x 9".

Stampin’ Up! Birthday Blooms Chalkboard!

Hey there! This morning I'm on my way to help my photographer daughter's house to get her tax nfo ready for her tax lady. We do this once a year, and it takes all day, but it's one of the rare days of the year we get to spend the whole day together so I love it!

Today I"m sharing another card created for my #imbringingbirthdaysback stamp-a-stack but didn't make the cut. I used the chalkboard technique with Birthday Blooms stamps and Timeless Elegance Designer Paper:

I started with a Lost Lagoon card base, a layer of Basic Gray, then a layer of Timeless Elegance Designer Paper softly sponged with Soft Sky ink using a Sponge Dauber.

The reason this card didn't make "the cut" for my class is probably obvious. After I heat-embossed the blooms on Basic Black with white powder, I gently sponged the blooms only with White Craft ink for the "chalkboard" look. I "fancy cut" with my Paper Snips (aka fussy cut) the blooms.

I layered Venetian Crochet Trim over Basic Black 3/8" Stitched Satin Ribbon, and added a white-heat-embossed greeting from Birthday Blooms punched with the Washi Label Punch.

Inside I punched the Very Vanilla corners with the Curvy Corner Trio Punch and stamped the bloom again with Soft Sky ink.
