Stampin’ Up! Friendly Wishes for Zach!

Stampin’ Up! Friendly Wishes for Zach!

Hey there! The blog hop yesterday was awesome! If you haven't hopped through our Christmas in July hop, go back to yesterday's post and start hoppin'! You'll be glad you did!

I made today's card for my granddaughter's boyfriend, Zach . . . . . . . . . .

You heard that right.

Maddie Kate has a boyfriend? How did this happen?

She's fourteen. He's now 16. They don't car date, they group date and date with either his family or hers. I started dating my husband when I was 14, so now I might be starting to feel a "little" old.

He is also an exceptionally thoughtful,  caring, God-loving, tall, handsome young man. I couldn't attend his party, but I sent this:

Stampin_up_friendly_wishes_1 - Copy

I used the Mini Treat Bag Thinlet Die again. Are you shocked?

I made a gift card holder for the insert. You can't have a self-respecting birthday card without a little money it!

Stampin_up_friendly_wishes_2 - Copy

To give the greeting a baseball look,  I used the Updated Essentials Paper-Piercing Template, Paper-Piercing Tool, and Stampin' Pierce Mat to pierce the double-curved lines, adding "stitching" with a Real Red marker.

Stampin_up_friendly_wishes_3 - Copy

For the insert "pull" I stamped a mini-birthday cake!

Stampin’ Up! Sprinkles of Life Mini-Treat Bag!

Stampin’ Up! Sprinkles of Life Mini-Treat Bag!

Hey there! I had a super-busy weekend with my New Catalog Open House on Saturday. LOTS of stamping friends came by to pick up their spiral-bound catalog, do a little Make & Take, sign up for classes, and shop my BOGO sale!

Today I have a new project for you using the Sprinkles of Life stamp set and the Mini Treat Bag Thinlets Die. This project is part of the June Online Class:

Stampin_up_sprinkles_of_life_1 - Copy

I decided to use the Cherry On Top Designer Paper to help me decide my color choices for the ice cream scoops: Mint Macaron, Tip Top Taupe, and Watermelon Wonder. It's so easy to punch out the scoops with the Tree Builder Punch!

Three scoops on the front, then when you pull the fourth  scoop out of the bag you find an easy gift card holder:

Stampin_up_sprinkles_of_life_2 - Copy

The die cuts two separate sections for the bag, so I used two different prints from the stack:

Stampin_up_sprinkles_of_life_3 - Copy

See this copyright stamp on the back? It's from the Better Than E-mail photopolymer set that is only available for a little while longer. All the stamps in the set have the Stampin' Up! copyright symbols on them so you can stamp them on the back of the cards and creations you want to sell. Check out this set in my online store:

Stampin’Up! Beautifully Baroque Mustache Santa!

Stampin’Up! Beautifully Baroque Mustache Santa!

Hey there! The sickness bug has struck again. It started with a sore throat, now I have a fever. Yuck. But I'd rather get it over with now before Alisa's baby arrives in just a couple of weeks.

Today's swap was created by Sherri Beyrer, who CASED it from Tina Rappe. That's how stamping and sharing works; we all share ideas with each other, which makes papercrafting that much easier and fun!

Stampin_up_beautifully_baroque_santa_1 - Copy

This jolly old elf is adorable as he is, but wait till you see what comes next!

Stampin_up_beautifully_baroque_santa_2 - Copy

He stands like an easel, but when you pull his coat and beard out from under his mustache . . .

Stampin_up_beautifully_baroque_santa_3 - Copy

He opens accordian-style! So easy to add your favorite Christmas greeting and tuck in a gift card!

You can view a gift-card-holder-version of this Santa I showed you last year HERE, that I CASED from Janet Baker. You will find dimensions that you can incorporate into today's card as part of that post.

Here's the supply list for today's sample to order in my online store: www.carolpayne.stampinup.net

Stampin’ Up! Sunday Swap Day! Giftcards Galore!

Stampin’ Up! Sunday Swap Day! Giftcards Galore!

Hey there! Hope you are enjoying the time between Christmas and New Year's. We have our nephew, Nathan, and his sweet wife, Laura Beth, with us from Murfreesboro, TN, for a few days, so we are enjoying their visit!

After showing you all of the Christmas gift card holders, I still have a few non-Christmas ones left. Today's post is all about gift card holders!

This first one was created with the Monstermaniacs stamp set( #134972 $14.95):

Stampin_up_monstermainiacs_1

Monstermaniacs is not shown in any catalog, but you can download the flyer with all of the zany images here:

Download US_In_with_you_Flyer_Monstermaniacs_1013

134972L

The Pop 'n Cuts Bigz L Die was also used to create the gift card holder, along with Bermuda Bay cardstock and Birthday Basics Designer Paper. "Happy Birthday" is from the Remembering Your Birthday stamp set.

Stampin_up_monstermaniacs_2

This masculine gift card holder was made with the Remembering Christmas stamp set from the Holiday Catalog (and only available for a few more days! After January 2nd, it is gone, maybe forever.)

Stampin_up_remembering_christmas_1

The Woodgrain Textured Impressions folder was used on the Early Espresso cardstock, and the "thinking of you" is from the Wetlands stamp set. Susie Wood is the creator of this card. She used the Envelope Punch Board in a different way to create a card instead of an envelope!

Stampin_up_remembering_christmas_2

Speaking of Wetlands, this card is a beautiful example of the use of that set!

Marina Mist, Baked Brown Sugar, and Very Vanilla come together with  Midnight Muse and Baked Brown Sugar ink to create a masculine but very attractive card.

Stampin_up_wetlands_1

The Painter's Tape technique was used for the background behind the goose.

Stampin_up_wetlands_2

Inside the slot for the gift card was punched with the Word Window Punch.

Here's another gift card holder using the Remembering Your Birthday stamps and Birthday Basics Designer Paper again:

Stampin_up_remembering_your_birthday_1

The bow was created with the Gift Bow Bigz Die from the Holiday Catalog. If you were waiting to order this die later, DON'T WAIT! As far as I know, this die will no longer be available after January 2nd! It might come back in the new catalog in June, but there's no guarantee!

Stampin_up_remembering_your_birthday_2

The Word Window Punch was used again for the gift card slot.

Here's a couple more that are not gift card holders, but I just couldn't resist including them for you today:

Stampin_up_chalk_talk_1

Lots of punches used to create the clown, along with Chalk Talk stamps and framelits, Polka Dot Parade Designer Paper, and the Stripes Textured Impressions Folder!

Lastly, this cute card was created using the Zoo Review stamp set, Soft Sky, Whisper White, and Basic Black cardstock, Circle Collection Framelits, and Soft Sky 1/2" Seam Binding.

Stampin_up_zoo_review_1

The penguin stamp in Zoo Review is actually just one single penguin. The creator of this card stamped the center bird first, then covered it with a mask before stamping the same stamp on either side of it. "You Can Never Have Too Much Happy" is from the Yippee-Skippee! stamp set.

There you go! SIX cards for today! How do you like that?

Stampin’ Up! Santa’s List!

Stampin’ Up! Santa’s List!

Hey there! I managed to get my swap in the mail before the deadline to mail Priority, then spent the rest of the stamping day working on the projects to mail out to the Online Ordering customers who placed orders to choose Christmas Catch-Up projects. I'm almost done, which is a good thing, considering I still have a bit more shopping, wrapping, cleaning, and decorating to do before my family starts arriving next week! Whew! It's going to be close, but I have a list, so I'm chipping  away on it every day!

I thought about saving these swaps for this coming Sunday, but since we are just barely a week away from Christmas Day, I decided I'd better go ahead and share these with you. These all were created using the Santa's List set in the Holiday Catalog:

Stampin_up_santas_list_1

Kathy Morgan used a Christmas Tagables Photopolymer stamp for ther "do not open .. " greeting on the front.

Stampin_up_santas_list_2

Next, Linda Pagel chose to make her gift card holder an easel card:

Stampin_up_santas_list_easel_1

Stampin_up_santas_list_easel_2

And last, Lorraine Duran used a Window Frame Framelit and a Very Merry Tags stamp along with Santa's list for her creation:

Stampin_up_santas_list_window_frames_1

The pocket for the giftcard opens up matchbook-style:

Stampin_up_santas_list_window_frame_2

That's all for now! If you have procrastinated and haven't ordered Santa's List yet, there's still time! You can click HERE to shop in my Online Store. While you are there you can also shop the Clearance Rack, the Annual Catalog, and the latest Weekly Deals, which are DOUBLE the number of deals than usual!
