Stampin’ Up! Nothing Sweeter Shop By Project CASE!

Stampin’ Up! Nothing Sweeter Shop By Project CASE!

Hey there! As I am blogging this we are winging our way toward Orlando to attend the Stampin' Up! 30th Anniversary OnStage event! I'm so glad I decided to get a hotspot for my phone!

A new feature in my online store is "Shop By Project"!  Currently a test feature for now, if successful it could become permanent. I browsed the projects and found a cute card created with the Nothing Sweeter bundle from the Holiday Catalog. I was inspired to CASE (Copy And Share Everything) it, then created a few more that I'll share soon. The "Shop By Project" cards don't have instructions, but do list the supplies used so you can purchase the ones you don't already have.

Although this card does require a Big Shot, it's pretty AND pretty simple!

Stampin_up_nothing_sweeter_carolpaynestamps1

Pool Party, Call Me Clover, Real Red, and Whisper White is a fresh, wintry color combo!

Stampin_up_nothing_sweeter_carolpaynestamps2

The  Nothing Sweeter stamps are bundled with the Sweetly Stitched Framelits dies. I used two dies to cut and "stitch" the tree and the snowflake. After I stamped the lights on the tree, I added rhinestones for sparkle.

Stampin_up_nothing_sweeter_carolpaynestamps3

After stamping the greeting from Nothing Sweeter with Real Red ink I used another Sweetly Stitched die to add the scalloped "stitching". The extra mini-scallops were created by punching a white scrap with the Scallop Ribbon Border Punch and then using my Paper Snips to trim off the scallop strip. I adhered with tiny dots of liquid glue.

All of the inside is stamped with Nothing Sweeter images.

Instead of re-creating the supply list for this card, you can find the list in the "Shop By Project" section of my online store:

Stampin Up! Sunday Swap Day November 4th!

Stampin Up! Sunday Swap Day November 4th!

Hey there and welcome to the first Sunday Swap Day of November! I'm leaving for the Stampin' Up! 30th Anniversary OnStage Event in Orlando, Florida in less than two days! I still have packing and swap creation to do! Eeeek! It's a long car ride( 6 of us in my team member's van, plus 3 flying), so I plan to finish them on the way. Tomorrow is a Darcy day, but this is doable!

A big reason I swap every month is because I love sharing swaps with you! Today's are with Limited-Edition Snow is Glistening stamps and Snowfall Thinlets. Have you ordered yours yet? They're only while-supplies-last, so don't wait!

First, Susan Legits used an AquaPainter to add bold strokes of Bermuda Bay and Blueberry Bushel to Watercolor Paper to create a background for the Snowfall Thinlets snowflakes.

Stampin_up_snow_is_glistening_carolpaynestamps1

She adhered the snowflake to the watercolor background with a Multipurpose Adhesive Sheet applied to the card stock BEFORE cutting with the Snowfall Thinlet.

Next,  an anonymous stamper used the Swirls & Curls Textured Impressions Embossing Folder to emboss wax paper to create the Wax Paper Resist technique on the Bermuda Bay background. She also added a Limited-Edition Snowflake Trinket to the center.

Stampin_up_snow_is_glistening_carolpaynestamps4

 Just lovely!

Finally, Susie Wood used a new technique, Frosted Clear Block, with Prussian Blue Brusho Crystal Colour to create this gorgeous background!

I can't wait to try this one!

Stampin’ Up! Snowfall Thinlets!

Stampin’ Up! Snowfall Thinlets!

Hey there! I'm getting ready for a craft fair tomorrow, and while I haven't had as much time to get ready as I would like, I have been able to use the new Snowfall Thinlets to embellish another clear glass block! I cut Silver and Sparkle Glimmer Paper and retired Red Glimmer to create this:

Stampin_up_snowfall_thinlets_carolpaynestamps5

This block is larger than the one I shared with you yesterday, measuring 8" x 8", I cut the Vellum card stock 6 1/4" x 6 1/4" so most of it would be embossed with the Scattered Sequins Dynamic Textured Impressions folder. I cut the all of the snowflakes with the Limited-Edition Snowfall Thinlets. I cut most of the snowflakes from Silver Glimmer Paper, but I cut one from Sparkle Glimmer to layer on top of the largest snowflake. All of the snowflakes and the greeting were cut with a Multipurpose Adhesive Sheet already on the back so all I had to do was remove the protective backing to expose the adhesive and stick on the vellum!

Stampin_up_snowfall_thinlets_carolpaynestamps6

The Snowfall Thinlets are 20 dies, all coordinating with both the Snow is Glistening and Happiness Surrounds stamp sets which are also Limited-Edition through November 30th or while supplies last! "Merry" was cut with a Merry Christmas Thinlet.

Stampin_up_snowfall_thinlets_carolpaynestamps7-1

Lights on! The bow is from the craft store on a roll. I used about 56 inches of the wire-edged ribbon to wrap the block and tie the simple bow. I put a string of 35 clear lights inside.

Stampin_up_snowfall_thinlets_carolpaynestamps1

Flat. These are quick and fun to make!

Stampin’ Up! Merry Christmas to All Glass Block!

Stampin’ Up! Merry Christmas to All Glass Block!

Hey there! Welcome to November!  I had to step into Hobby Lobby yesterday, and even though I only needed "just one thing", I walked out $95 poorer! lol!

I'm preparing for a craft fair this weekend, so I'm on the lookout for nifty ideas. I ran across bare glass blocks made to put Christmas lights in and was inspired to go home and create! I used Joyous Noel 6"x 6" Glimmer Paper and Big Shot dies from three different sets in the Holiday Catalog to create this:

Stampin_up_merry_christmas_carolpaynestamps3

I cut Joyous Noel 6" x 6" Glimmer Paper with Merry Christmas Thinlet dies. I adhered a Multipurpose Adhesive Sheet to the back of the paper for easy attachment to the embossed Vellum. I attached the vellum to the block with glue dots after I  embossed with the Scattered Sequins Dynamic Textured Impressions Embossing Folder. It's hard to tell from the picture, but "Merry" is cut from Copper and "Christmas" is cut from Merry Merlot Glimmer Paper!

Stampin_up_merry_christmas_carolpaynestamps4

I cut the tree from Tranquil Tide Glimmer with an In The Woods Framelits Die. This die cuts both the outline  and the branches so they can be "fluffed" out for dimension.

Stampin_up_merry_christmas_carolpaynestamps5

I cut the white tree from Sparkle Glimmer Paper with another In The Woods Framelits Die, and the Soft Suede deer with a Detailed Deer Thinlet. After I cut out the deer I embossed them with the Subtle Dynamic Textured Impressions Folder.

Stampin_up_merry_christmas_carolpaynestamps6

With the block standing up and the lights turned on in the dark:

Laying down:

I created another version with the Merry Christmas Thinlets and Detailed Deer Dies. I embossed the vellum with the Woodland Textured Impressions folder.

Stampin’ Up! Lift Me Up Baby Shower Card for Sheila!

Stampin’ Up! Lift Me Up Baby Shower Card for Sheila!

Hey there! Today I'm sharing a special baby shower card. Sheila's my oldest daughter, Jessica's, bestie since they were babies. Both now 40, Sheila is having her very first baby in December. We are over the moon happy for her and her sweet hubby, David!

Honored to be asked to create an "Adventure Awaits" banner for the event,  I'm waiting for pictures as I didn't feel my camera could do it justice. But I can share the card I created that coordinates with the banner:

Stampin_up_beautiful_bouquet_carolpaynestamps1

I used the Up & Away Thinlets Dies to create the hot-air balloon. The map paper background is a retired Stampin' Up! Designer Series Paper. I keep almost all of my retired stuff. Although it takes up a lot of storage room, it comes in handy when a custom project like this comes along!

Stampin_up_beautiful_bouquet_carolpaynestamps2

I cut the intricate balloon outline from Basic Black card stock, then used more of the thinlets to cut the panels behind it from Coastal Cabana, Blushing Bride, and Mint Macaron.

Stampin_up_beautiful_bouquet_carolpaynestamps3

I used "Congratualtions" from the Beautiful Bouquet set to stamp in black ink.

Stampin_up_beautiful_bouquet_carolpaynestamps4

Inside I used a sentiment from Hold on To Hope:

Stampin_up_hold_on_to_hope_carolpaynestamps1

I inked the mini-balloon from Lift Me Up with Coastal Cabana, Blushing Bride, and Mint Macaron Stampin' Write Markers. After cutting out with an Up & Away Thinlet, I adhered with a Stampin' Dimensional.

Stampin_up_lift_me_up_carolpaynestamps1

Lest you think I am a perfect stamper who never makes a mistake, here's what I discovered after I adhered the banner to the card front. Can you see what's wrong with this card? Fortunately it was easily fixed!
