Stampin’ Up! Verdant Garden Anniversary!

Hey there! I'm finally getting back into the swing of things! My weekend was full of taking care of three of the four Hiller Grands, which included blueberry picking with my new daughter-in-law Grace, (lots of fun) and an encounter for Oakley with a skunk (NOT fun)! I plan to keep tomato juice on hand for the future as it DOES work on skunk smell. I'm also keeping my grand-dog, Charlie, while my oldest daughter's family is on vacation, so it's been a regular grandkid/pet hotel around here. I'd give up stamping to do it, and you know how much I love to stamp!

Today I have a card created with the Verdant Garden stamp set and the Stamparatus.

The Stamparatus is a GREAT tool to give you precise placement on your card front, which is particularly important when you are stamping without the benefit of punching or cutting out the greeting with a die.

You can also re-stamp the image in the exact same place if you need better ink coverage. After stamping I embossed the layer with the Subtle 3-D folder.

I added three clear Frosted Flower Embellishements, then added a single pearl in each.

Inside I used a sentiment from Beautiful Bouquet.

Stampin’ Up! Lift Me Up Baby Shower Card for Sheila!

Hey there! Today I'm sharing a special baby shower card. Sheila's my oldest daughter, Jessica's, bestie since they were babies. Both now 40, Sheila is having her very first baby in December. We are over the moon happy for her and her sweet hubby, David!

Honored to be asked to create an "Adventure Awaits" banner for the event, I'm waiting for pictures as I didn't feel my camera could do it justice. But I can share the card I created that coordinates with the banner:

I used the Up & Away Thinlets Dies to create the hot-air balloon. The map paper background is a retired Stampin' Up! Designer Series Paper. I keep almost all of my retired stuff. Although it takes up a lot of storage room, it comes in handy when a custom project like this comes along!

I cut the intricate balloon outline from Basic Black card stock, then used more of the thinlets to cut the panels behind it from Coastal Cabana, Blushing Bride, and Mint Macaron.

I used "Congratualtions" from the Beautiful Bouquet set to stamp in black ink.

Inside I used a sentiment from Hold on To Hope:

I inked the mini-balloon from Lift Me Up with Coastal Cabana, Blushing Bride, and Mint Macaron Stampin' Write Markers. After cutting out with an Up & Away Thinlet, I adhered with a Stampin' Dimensional.

Lest you think I am a perfect stamper who never makes a mistake, here's what I discovered after I adhered the banner to the card front. Can you see what's wrong with this card? Fortunately it was easily fixed!

Stamping Rox Lined Alphabet, Very Vintage, and Weddings!

Hey there! Happy September 1st! Even though summer will technically continue for another 20 days, I always feel like fall has begun when September gets here! My hubby and I are on our annual anniversary trip to Branson, MO this weekend. I love getting to spend time with my sweetheart!

This year the Holiday Catalogs' start is delayed until the 5th, so I'm going to finish up sharing the Alaska Cruise swaps before I start sharing ideas for fall and Christmas.

Today's samples were created with the Very Vintage Host set, Lined Alphabet, Beautiful Bouquet, and Wonderful Moments!

The Very Vintage Host set is so very vintage! I love how this one is stamped all in Blueberry Bushel on Whisper White; it reminds me of delicate china teacups!

Same stamp set, but a completely different look! The sponging has a sunset look, and the Golf Foil and gold heat embossing is stunning! The sentiment is from Rooted in Nature.

The Lined Alphabet Bundle is found in the Annual Catalog and makes it easy to create fun cards like this!

This one includes a "bow" embellishment created with a Picture Perfect Birthday image and Whisper White 5/8" Polka Dot Tulle Ribbon!

On oldie-but-goodie, Beautiful Bouquet, and the Bouquet Bunch Framelits, combine to create this lovely anniversary card:

Wonderful Moments, new to this year's Annual Catalog, was combined with the Ruffled Dynamic Textured Impressions Embossing Folder, Silver Metallic-Edge Ribbon, and Whisper White 5/8" Polka Dot Tulle Ribbon for the veil!

Stampin’ Up! Serene Garden #2!

Hey there! Today I have another creation with the Serene Garden Bundle. This time I used the embossing plate from the Garden Scene Framelits to emboss the Whisper White Thick card base and colored the leaves, flowers, and butterfly with a Blender Pen and ink from Powder Pink and Soft Seafoam ink pads.

The Garden Scene Framelits cut out the bird, flowers, and the butterfly Serene Garden images, and includes the embossing plate I used to emboss two opposite corners. I used the new Big Shot Embossing Mats to emboss with the plate. "Best Wishes from all of us" is from Itty Bitty Greetings.

Inside I used a sentiment from Beautiful Bouquet, a carry-over set from the last catalog.

Stampin’ Up! Beautiful Bouquet!

Hey there! Today I have two cards for you, my creation with the Beautiful Bouquet Bundle on pages 92 & 93 of the Annual Catalog and the swap I CASED to make mine! I started with a print from the Petal Garden Designer Series Paper Stack for my color palette of Old Olive, Sweet Sugarplum and Rich Razzleberry. I embossed Sweet Sugarplum layer with the Garden Trellis Textured Impressions Embossing Folder and cut my focal point layers with Lots of Labels Framelits.

I cut blooms with the Bouquet Bunch Framelits (bundled with the stamp set for an extra 10% savings), then cut stems, sprigs, the bouquet wrap and the bow also with the same framelits.

I added a bit of shimmer to the blooms with my Clear Wink of Stella Glitter Brush.

The greeting is included in the Beautiful Bouquet set, punched with the 1 1/4" Circle Punch an matted with the 1 3/8" Scallop Circle.

This fold is my favorite right now!

The inside is stamped with more Beautiful Bouquet images and sentiment.

Here's Carol Nordquist's swap I used as my pattern for my card. Lots of difference and similarities! A good swap is like that, it inspires your creativity!

The bloom image looks a little like lilacs!

Stampin’ Up! Sunday Swap Day Birthday Cards!

Hey there! It's back to Sunday Swap Days in 2018! yay! It seems like no matter how many swaps I share with you, I always have more! I have Occasions and Sale-a-bration swaps I haven't even photographed yet! I need to work on my camera settings before I take any more pictures to see what I can do about fixing the "yellowness". Today's pics were taken before my camera got fiddled with, so they are pretty ok.

First, Sandy Carlson combined the Annual catalog set, Celebrate You, with Birthday Memories Designer Series paper for a sweet and cheery card. I love the silver touches with Silver Foil, Whisper White 3/8" Metallic-Edge Ribbon, Rhinestones, and a Silver Foil Doily!

Next, Sharon Tong-Robinson used the Beautiful Bouquet Bundle (Annual Catalog) with the Garden Trellis Textured Impressions Embossing Folder for a spring-y card. Her little touch of Linen Thread and cutting the greeting out with a Stitched Shapes Oval Framelit are perfect!

Linda Pagel used the Celebration Time Bundle (Annual Catalog) for her stunning Powder Pink, Whisper White, and Silver creation.

Karen Kurz used Country Livin' and the Hardwood Background Stamp for her masculine birthday card. I love her coloring with the Stampin' Blends (Occasions Catalog), and her accent with the cut-out cowboy boots!

Kim Allen combined the Marbled Background with the Magical Mermaid set, both from the Annual catalog. The Marbled stamped on Pool Party really gives a swirling, watery look!After stamping and cutting out the focal images, she accented with a bit of a Delicate White Doily and a strip of Fabulous Foil Designer Series Paper. The black & white ribbon is retired from the Holiday Catalog.

Finally, Janace Charbonneau used the Oh So Eclectic Bundle from the Annual catalog with a background created with a Pattern Party Decorative Mask and Embossing Paste. She expertly colored the blooms and leaves with Stampin' Blends Markers (Occasions Catalog), adding accents of Rhinestones and Whisper White 3/8" Classic Weave Ribbon. She found her greeting in the Better Together Annual catalog set.
