Stampin’ Up! Winter Woods Merry Banner!

Stampin’ Up! Winter Woods Merry Banner!

Hey there! Today I'm at a Holiday Craft Fair at the Mt Vernon City Park. If you're in the area, come by and see me! With over 40 local crafters, you're sure to find something you like!

Here's the banner I made for my display!

Stampin_up_winter_woods_banner_carolpaynestamps1

I used Dashing Along Designer Series Paper for the banner pennants. Each one is 6" x 3 1/2". You can only find this paper when you search (or click on the image in the supply list below) in my online store.

Stampin_up_winter_woods_carolpaynestamps2

I backed each pennant with a 3 3/4" x 4" Mossy Meadow layer, adhered about 3/4" from the top the banner before I folded down about 3/8" to secure the cording hanger. I stamped the evergreen from Winter Woods with Mossy Meadow ink on Whisper White, then cut with the coordinating In the Woods Framelit.

Stampin_up_winter_woods_carolpaynestamps3

Each Basic Black Large Letters letter is glued to a Whisper White mat cut with a Stitched Labels Framelit.

Stampin_up_winter_woods_carolpaynestamps4

I added trees cut with a Sweetly Stitched Framelit, and a Silver Glimmer snowflake cut with the Blizzard Thinlit.

Stampin_up_winter_woods_carolpaynestamps5

Each snowflake is different!

Stampin_up_winter_woods_carolpaynestamps6

I love it!

Stampin_up_winter_woods_carolpaynestamps7

I completed the banner with a Basic Black "Christmas" cut with a Merry Christmas Thinlit die.

Stampin_up_winter_woods_carolpaynestamps8

The banner is fully adjustable to however long or short you want it to be. I used 15 ft of silver cording in the fold at the top. I folded down the designer paper and then stapled it  so the banner pieces will slide along the cord.

Inspiration seems to always strike best at the last minute, so I only had time to make one! I'm planning to take orders if anyone wants one!

Stampin’ Up! Tags & Tidings for Mass Production!

Stampin’ Up! Tags & Tidings for Mass Production!

Hey there! I've been working on items for a craft fair this weekend, which of course means kicking into mass-production mode! I created a darling set of tags (more than one, actually) with the Tags & Tidings Bundle from the Holiday Catalog last week, so of course I wanted to make a bunch of them for the fair. I quickly realized some modifications were necessary if I wanted to be able to price them reasonably AND actually get a bunch of them made!

Find my original post about the tags HERE,

more HERE

and HERE.

Modified, there are more tags now than originally. Tags & Tidings has 16 different tags all in one stamp, so there's lots to choose!

Stampin_up_tags_&_tidings_carolpaynestamps1

First I traded out Cherry Cobbler 1/4" Double-Stitched Ribbon for a darling Cherry Cobbler bow cut with a Farmhouse Framelits Die. The die cuts SIX bows simultaneously!  I adhered to the little tags with a dot of liquid glue.

Stampin_up_tags_&_tidings_carolpaynestamps2

Next, instead of tying the Mossy Meadow Festive Farmhouse Cotton Twine around the stiff 5/8" Striped Burlap Ribbon, I STAPLED the ribbon together, saving A LOT of tying time!

Stampin_up_tags_&_tidings_carolpaynestamps3

I then tied the Mossy Meadow twine in a bow and adhered over the staple on the tag front, saving twine and time!

Stampin_up_tags_&_tidings_carolpaynestamps4

All the rest of the tags are the same, but here's some close-ups of these adorable little gems!

Stampin’ Up! Snowflake Sentiments with Inlaid Embossing!

Stampin’ Up! Snowflake Sentiments with Inlaid Embossing!

Hey there! Today's card was created with Snowflake Sentiments stamps, Festive Farmhouse Designer Series Paper, and the Cable Knit Dynamic Textured Impressions Embossing Folder. I was inspired to create these cards by Lyssa Zwolanek, a friend from my Founder's Circle Days.

Stampin_up_snowflake_sentiments_carolpaynestamps1

I used the "Inlaid Embossing" Technique to adhere the strips of Festive Farmhouse Designer Paper to the Very Vanilla layer first, then embossing the entire layer with the Cable Knit Dynamic Textured Impressions Embossing Folder. This technique makes the designer paper look like it has become one with the Very Vanilla paper!

Stampin_up_snowflake_sentiments_carolpaynestamps2

I stamped the Snowflake Sentiments greeting with Cherry Cobbler ink on a 2" x 4" Very Vanilla piece that I punched on one end with the Scallop Tag Topper Punch. After I cut down a piece of 5/8" Striped Burlap Trim to about 1/4" wide, I tied it in a bow through the ribbon slot. The tag is adhered to the card with dimensionals.

Stampin_up_snowflake_sentiments_carolpaynestamps3

I kept my inside stamping all Cherry Cobbler. I love those small flourishes from Snowflake Sentiments!

Stampin_up_snowflake_sentiments_carolpaynestamps4

My second version started with an Old Olive card base:

Stampin_up_snowflake_sentiments_carolpaynestamps5

Both cards were embellished with a sprig punched from a piece of Joyous Noel 6" x 6" Glimmer Paper.

Stampin’ Up! Geared Up Garage Birthday for Logan, Another Sneak Peek!

Stampin’ Up! Geared Up Garage Birthday for Logan, Another Sneak Peek!

Hey there! Yesterday I shared the card I created for Troy with the Classic Garage Suite, and today I'm sharing Logan's card with the same suite:
Stampin_up_geared_up_garage_carolpaynestamps1
I chose Basic Black, Tranquil Tide, Whisper White, Silver Foil, to coordinate with the Classic Garage 6" x 6" Designer Series Paper print.  I used the Big Shot Embossing Mats to emboss the Silver Foil with the gears thinlit that is originally intended to cut paper. The Embossing Mats let you turn just about any metal thinlit into an embossing medium! After I embossed the Silver Foil, I cut it with a Layering Oval Framelit, then layered it onto a Basic Black smooth oval and finally a Tranquil Tide scalloped one. I topped it with "Happy" cut from the Happy Birthday Thinlits Die, adhering with tiny dots of Liquid Glue.

Stampin_up_geared_up_garage_carolpaynestamps2

I couldn't resist adding a key from the Classic Garage Metal Elements.

Stampin_up_geared_up_garage_carolpaynestamps3

Inside I stamped the "nuts" across the top after inking them with Tranquil Tide, Basic Black, and Basic Gray Stampin' Write Markers. Stamping a second and a third time before re-applying more ink gave the shading of the colors. I added "Birthday" from the Happy Birthday Thinlet, also with Liquid Glue.

Happy Birthday Thinlit Tip: To use both words of the phrase, you will need to cut out two "Happy Birthday" phrases with the thinlit first. Then you will cut out "Happy" from one and "Birthday" from the other one. The leftover words will be discarded because they are cut in to to achieve complete and smooth letters.

Stampin_up_geared_up_garage_carolpaynestamps4

The Geared Up Garage set does have a car image, but I used a Garage Gears Thinlits Die to cut out the car directly from the Classic Garage Designer Series Paper.

Garage_gears_thinlits_carolpaynestamps
I used a piece of the same paper on the middle fold of this z-fold card.

Stampin_up_geared_up_garage_carolpaynestamps5

Stampin’ Up! Geared Up Garage Birthday for Troy, a Sneak Peek!

Stampin’ Up! Geared Up Garage Birthday for Troy, a Sneak Peek!

Hey there! Two of my sons have November birthdays, so we celebrated their birthdays during our family Thanksgiving on Saturday.

In addition to making each son's favorite dessert, I also made them each a card to go with their gift. I had just received my Pre-Pre Order from the upcoming 2019 Occasions Catalog, so I used the new Classic Garage Suite to create Troy's card. I used the Lined Alphabet (from the Annual Catalog and on sale TODAY ONLY 10% off! in my online store!) with Classic Garage 6" x 6" Designer Series Paper and Classic Garage Metal Elements:

Stampin_up_geared_up_garage_carolpaynestamps1

The Lined Alphabet set is photopolymer, so it's easy to line up the letters to stamp the whole name or word all at the same time! I cut panels of Classic Garage designer paper to create the background for Troy's name that I heat-embossed with white powder on a Basic Black layer.

Stampin_up_geared_up_garage_carolpaynestamps2

"All Geared Up to Celebrate" is from the Geared Up Garage stamp set, stamped with black Memento ink and punched with the Classic Label Punch. The Classic Garage Metal Elements are adorable! I used glue dot to attach this tiny metal wrench!

Stampin_up_geared_up_garage_carolpaynestamps4

To give you an idea of how adorably cute and tiny these are, here's a dime beside the key!

Stampin_up_geared_up_garage_carolpaynestamps3

Inside and on the envelope I used the Birthday Wishes for You set, stamped with Memento black ink and colored with both light and dark Smoky Slate and the Light Mint Macaron Stampin' Blends.

Stampin_up_geared_up_garage_carolpaynestamps5

After I stamped the toolbox with Memento black, I used a Dark Real Red Stampin' Blend to color the box, and the Light & Dark Smoky Slate for the box trim and the tools.

Stampin_up_geared_up_garage_carolpaynestamps7

I'm planning to use this design for a swap and possibly my "Stampin' in the New Year" Stamp-a-Stack, so I created another card with the "bro" greeting. What other masculine titles could you use?

Stampin_up_geared_up_garage_carolpaynestamps9

All of these new products will be available to order on January 3rd, but you can order your Lined Alphabet today from my online store and get 10% OFF!
