Stampin’ Up! Hearts Come Home Color Challenge!

Stampin’ Up! Hearts Come Home Color Challenge!

Hey there and happy Monday! Today I have another card I created for the Creative Crew over on Splitcoaststampers for their November Challenge. Today's challenge is a color challenge. We were to take these colors and translate them into a Christmas card:

C7d52470be8ca4d1a1f8ac04b9a87503

My first job was to translate the above colors into Stampin' Up! colors, so I chose these five Stampin' Up! colors to match:

CCREW1117CLR Color Challenge

For my creation with the Challenge Colors I used the Hearts Come Home set with Stitched Shapes Framelits.

Stampin_up_hearts_come_home_carolpaynestamps1

I used one of each of the three shapes of Stitched Shapes Framelits to cut out a stamped Hearts Come Home image.

Stampin_up_hearts_come_home_carolpaynestamps2

I stamped "Joy to the world" repeatedly on the Pink Pirouette background layer with Flirty Flamingo ink. "MERRY & BRIGHT"  is stamped with Real Red.

Stampin_up_hearts_come_home_carolpaynestamps3

I love this little house stamped with Soft Suede. Marina Mist "smoke" is coming out of the chimney.

Stampin_up_hearts_come_home_carolpaynestamps4

I love all of the images in Hearts Come Home.

Stampin’ Up! Sunday Swap Day November 5th!

Stampin’ Up! Sunday Swap Day November 5th!

Hey there! It's time again for Sunday Swap Day! yay!

Ruth Ann Lilley combined the Carols of Christmas set with Be Merry Designer Paper for a CAS (and quick) card:

Stampin_up_carols_of_christmas_carolpaynestamps1

Another creator used a Christmas Quilt sentiment with Be Merry Designer Paper, and a Stitched Shapes Framelit. Cherry Cobbler, Garden Green, Whisper White, and a bit of 1/4" Double-Stitched Cherry Cobbler Ribbon all coordinate together.

Stampin_up_christmas_quilt_carolpaynestamps1

Next, Karen Kurz used almost all of the Quilted Christmas Suite to create her easel card.

Stampin_up_christmas_quilt_carolpaynestamps2

 There's a surprise gift-card holder!

Stampin_up_christmas_quilt_carolpaynestamps3

The Quilt Builder Framelits include dies to cut out the spool and the needle!

Stampin_up_christmas_quilt_carolpaynestamps4

Finally, the creator of this card also used Quilted Christmas Suite elements with Watercolor Christmas stamps for a classic Christmas look. A Real Red card base embossed with the Quilt Top Textured Impression Embossing Folder, combined with a strip of Quilted Christmas 6 x6" Designer Paper, Emerald Envy, Whisper White, and a bit of Emerald Envy 3/8" Grosgrain Striped Ribbon are easy, yet very effective.

1" and 1 1/4" Circle Punches easily create the tree embellishment, topped with a gold Metallic Enamel Shape (star).

Stampin’ Up! Merry Little Labels: the Tags!

Stampin’ Up! Merry Little Labels: the Tags!

Hey there! As promised, today I'm sharing the tags I created with the Merry Little Labels bundle (stamps and punch) to go in the Mini File Box I shared with you yesterday!

Stampin_up_merry_little_labels_tags_carolpaynestamps1

Aren't they just the loveliest pile? And they were so much fun to create!

Again, I embellished with snowflakes cut from Silver Glimmer with Seasonal Layers Thinlets and highlighted with Brights Enamel Shapes (Real Red)

Stampin_up_merry_little_labels_tags_carolpaynestamps2

The back of each tag is stamped with the "to: from:" in Merry Little Labels, inked with Stampin' Write Markers.

Stampin_up_merry_little_labels_tags_carolpaynestamps3

I used Vintage Crochet Trim, found in the Halloween section of the Holiday Catalog, to tie onto the tops of the tags, which were punched with the Scallop Tag Topper Punch.

Stampin_up_merry_little_labels_tags_carolpaynestamps4

I used some of the black-and-white prints from the Merry Little Christmas Designer Series Paper pack on each tag front.

Stampin_up_merry_little_labels_tags_carolpaynestamps5

I love the graphic look of Basic Black, Whisper White, and Real Red, and the touches of silver and pops of red are so exciting!

Stampin’ Up! Merry Little Labels Box of Tags!

Stampin’ Up! Merry Little Labels Box of Tags!

Hey there! I finally had a chance to do some serious stamping yesterday! yay! My mojo had taken a vacation for a few days, which is NOT helpful at all, but when that happens I just start cutting paper for a future class or stamp up leftover kits from a past class and it usually returns pretty quickly!

I was needing some mojo badly because my projects for the November Creative Crew over on Splitcoaststampers was due, like literally yesterday; actually November 1st! I was able to finish all of my challenge projects and uploaded them all to the gallery last night. Whew!

Today I want to share with you a box of tags I created for the Creative Crew Sketch Challenge. We were to create our project using this sketch of a bunch of tags:

0c532417d16d313c8e0a7ed84406a7d2

With so many choices it was hard to decide! I finally decided to start with a box to hold a group of tags. I used this Mini File Box tutorial on Splitcoaststampers.  I used Merry Little Labels stamps, Everyday Label Punch, Crumb Cake, Merry Little Christmas Designer Series Paper, Silver Glimmer Paper, the Envelope Punch Board, and a Brights Enamel Shape (Real Red) to create this:

Stampin_up_mini_file_box_carolpaynestamps1

This little Mini File Box is absolutely adorable! I used this one for tags, but you could put a candy bar or a host of other things in it too!

Stampin_up_merry_little_labels_carolpaynestamps1

After I decided t use the black & white plaid print from the Merry Little Christmas Designer Series Paper package, the whole thing came together really quickly. After I stamped "just for you" from Merry Little Labels with Basic Black ink on Whisper White card stock, I punched with the Everyday Label Punch. I punched a second label from Basic Black card stock, cut it in half, and attached the ends to the top and bottom of the greeting label using SNAIL adhesive. The belly band was created from 7 1/2 inches of Merry Little Christmas Designer Series Paper. I cut a snowflake from Silver Glimmer Paper with a Seasonal Layers Thinlet Die. I adhered the greeting with dimensionals and the snowflake with a glue dot. I added a Brights Enamel Shape (heart) in the center of the snowflake to cover up the stickiness in the center from the glue dot.

Stampin_up_mini_file_box_carolpaynestamps2

That's all for now. I'll share the stack of tags I made to go with the box tomorrow! Sorry/not sorry to make you wait! lol!

Stampin’ Up! Stampin’ Blends are Here!

Stampin’ Up! Stampin’ Blends are Here!

Hey there! I never got around to blogging yesterday because I came down with a touch of the flu on Monday night and just was feeling kind of crummy. I even had to cancel the guy scheduled to clean my carpets, which was even more of a bummer!

Yesterday was the debut of the the new Stampin' Blends from Stampin' Up!; alcohol markers in 12 of our flagship colors in both a light and dark shade! There's also Bronze, Ivory, and a Color Lifter!

10.17.17_STAMPINBLENDS_SHAREABLE2_DEMO_NA

Here's the link to the Stampin' Blends brochure: http://su-media.s3.amazonaws.com/media/Promotions/NA/2017/Stampin%27%20Blends/StampinBlends_2017_US.pdf

Some features of Stampin' Blends:

  • Add just the right amount of color where you need it with the brush tip or fine-point.
  • Each color (except Ivory and Bronze) has a light and dark shade marker, available individually or in a combo pack.
  • Stampin' Up! has done in-house testing for evaporation and life testing and are really happy with the results!
  • Press fit seal prevents air from entering the barrel and causing evaporation.
  • The nestable lids are easy to keep track of and have a tight fit for long-lasting color.

Here's a video created by Stampin' Up! to introduce Stampin' Blends:

Stampin Up! You’ve Got This, a Stampin’ Blends Sneak Peek!

Stampin Up! You’ve Got This, a Stampin’ Blends Sneak Peek!

Hey there! I needed a card to match a belated wedding gift garnished with a fall spray from Hobby Lobby, so I used a You've Got This stamp to match the one in the spray!

Stampin_up_you've_got_this_carolpaynestamps1

This card previews a sneak peek of the new Stampin' Blends alcohol markers, available to order tomorrow, November 1st!

Stampin_up_youve_got_this_carolpaynestamps2

I rubbed a Bermuda Bay ink pad on the negative side of the Seaside Textured Impressions Embossing Folder before embossing a piece of Bermuda Bay card stock. After embossing with the Big Shot, this gives the background a much richer look. I stamped the bloom from You've Got This with Momento Tuxedo Black ink on Shimmery White card stock before coloring with Light and Dark Calypso Coral Stampin' Blends Markers. I added some Daffodil Delight Stampin' Blends to the center, Old Olive to the leaves and stem, and used the Stampin' Color Lifter to blend and soften the colors. Stampin' Blends make you look like a pro without the problems!

Stampin_up_youve_got_this_carolpaynestamps3

This present is for a couple who were married in July (we weren't able to attend the wedding), so I used this elegant greeting from Teeny Tiny Wishes, punched with the Classic Label Punch. Anytime during your first year of marriage you are a newlywed, right?

Stampin_up_youve_got_this_carolpaynestamps4

I used 1/4" Copper Trim for my embellishment (shown here on an experimental card with Fun Foam) The Copper Trim is pretty tied in a neat bow, but it becomes gorgeous when you pull the fibers apart!

Stampin_up_youve_got_this_carolpaynestamps4

When you stretch the fibers you end up with this unique and fancy bow! I love it!

Stampin_up_youve_got_this_carolpaynestamps5

Inside I used a sentiment from the Rose Wonder set. Again, this sentiment is appropriate for a wedding gift any time in the first year, or even an anniversary!

Stampin_up_youve_got_this_carolpaynestamps5

I colored the inside bloom with my Stampin' Blends markers. As a Stampin' Up! demonstrator I get to pre-order new products to play with them before customers can order them. We've had alcohol markers before, but there were manufacturing problems that necessitated a recall. After playing with them a bit, I think they've got all of the kinks worked out and I love them!
