Stampin’ Up! Silver Seasonal Wreath for Christmas in July!

Hey there! Today I have a gorgeous card to share created with the new Seasonal Wreath Dynamic Textured Impressions Embossing Folder!

Oh, the gorgeous detail with this folder!

After embossing Silver Foil with the Seasonal Wreath Dynamic folder I added rhinestones for even more sparkle, then added a Silver Metallic-Edge bow!

The Hearts Come Home greeting is heat-embossed with silver. I punched all the corners with the Detailed Trio punch.

For continuity with the front I silver heat-embossed the sentiment and adorable little houses and trees, also from Hearts Come Home.

Here's a glimpse of all of the cards we will be making at my July 28th Christmas in July Class (yes, I still have two more cards to share with you!)

Stampin’ Up! Serene Garden for Christmas!

Hey there! We had a rough storm roll through last night. We didn't have damage, but our power was out for over 12 hours. It was an awfully quiet night, and warm!

Today I have a Christmas card with the Serene Garden bird. Ever since I found this bundle in the new catalog I thought the bird would be perfect for a Christmas dove!

The Pearlized Doilies are perfect to highlight the dove:

I found "tis the season" in the new Itty Bitty Greetings. I added a Red Rhinestone to each side.

After punching a slot for the ribbon with one end of the Classic Label Punch I tied the ribbon in a simple knot.

MERRY & BRIGHT, stamped in Shaded Spruce, is from the carried-over Hearts Come Home.

The inside sentiment is also from Hearts Come Home.

Stampin’ Up! Sunday Swap Day on Monday!

Hey there! Today starts the final week of Christmas preparations. If it doesn't get done this week it won't happen, will it? I always have big plans to do all kinds of extra things while my family is visiting for the Christmas holidays, but in the end, it's being together and loving each other that matters the most, right?

I have more gift card holders to share with you today, so let's get started!

First, Kathy Johnson used the Hearts Come Home Bundle with Teeny Tiny Wishes to create her fold-out holder. She combined Night of Navy, Whisper White, and a bit of Silver Foil for a classic wintry look. The Night of Navy 1/2" Gingham Ribbon adds a homespun feel.

Hometown Greetings Edgelits and the Garden Trellis Textured Impressions Embossing folder provide lots of fun elements. The gift card pops into the little slit in the center.

Next, Deb McCahan used punch/big shot art to create this adorable singing angel for the front of her gift card holder. She cut vellum with a Bold Butterfly framelit, then embossed with the Softly Falling Textured Impressions Folder to create the angel wings. The bow was created with the Bow Builder Punch and the greeting from Jar of Love was framed with the Duet Banner Punch.

The angel is attached to a belly band that also serves as the closure.

Finally, Mary Lang really knocked it out of the ballpark with her creation using non-traditional Wild Wasabi, Berry Burst, and Whisper White. She added a Season of Glitz Mini Gift Bow above the Labels to Love greeting. I was skeptical about putting these adorably tiny bows on anything to mail, but although it seemed smashed when the swap envelope arrived, the bow popped back into shape pretty quick!

Mary is the master of multi-folds and multi-layers! She stamped images from Carols of Christmas and Hang Your Stocking for a festive feel! "Happiness is coming to town!" is also from Hang Your Stocking.

The completely open gift card holder. She stamped a greeting from Christmas Quilt in the center and "tis the Season" from Christmas Pines on the gift card pocket. She added a tree cut with a Card Front Builder Die to finish off with flair.

Stampin’ Up! Watercolor Bokeh for the Creative Crew CCREW1217TECH!

Hey there! I'm back today with another creation for the Creative Crew on Splitcoaststampers! Today's challenge was to use a technique tutorial from the gallery along with the Winter Wonderland theme. I chose a watercolor bokeh technique, combining the Winter Wonder Textured Impressions Embossing Folder with Merry Cafe' and Home for Christmas to create this:

I used the Winter Wonder Textured Impressions Embossing Folder as a stamp by inking the raised side of the folder with Soft Sky ink and then laying the white layer on the inked surface. I pressed gently and then removed the paper without running through the Big Shot to create a subtle snowflake background.

I created my focal image piece with the Watercolor Bokeh technique. I used Soft Sky, Marina Mist, and Dapper Denim ink refills to create the watercolor background. I then used a stencil cut with Layering Circles Framelits to sponge Whisper White Craft ink. While the stencil was still over the background I then stamped inside the sponged circles with a Merry Cafe' snowflake. I made sure I cleaned my stamp between inkings with Dapper Denim so I wouldn't transfer any of the still-damp white ink to my pad. I cut the watercolor bokeh piece with a Layering Circle Framelit, then backed it with a layer of Dapper Denim, also cut with a Layering Circle Framelit. I inked just the "Joy" from "Joy to the World" with a Dapper Denim Stampin' Write Marker before stamping on Whisper White. Both the greeting and the Soft Sky backing layer were cut with, you guessed it, Layering Circles Framelits!

I finished the inside of the card by inking the white layer with the little bit of ink left on the Winter Wonder folder, then stamping the Hearts Come Home sentiment on top with Dapper Denim ink.

Stampin’ Up! Hearts Come Home CCREW1217SK!

Hey there! Today I have another sketch challenge project for the December Creative Crew. After we created a card using the sketch, we were encouraged to use the sketch to create framed art or a canvas. I'm not much for canvas creation, so I used the sketch to create a framed art with the Christmas Quilt and Hearts Come Home stamp sets, Hometown Greetings Edgelits, and Quilt Top Textured Impressions Embossing Folder.

For this frame, I turned the sketch on its' side:

I stamped the "quilted star" from Christmas Quilt with Dapper Denim for the stitching, then stamped with Marina Mist and Soft Sky for the quilt pieces.

I cut out my neighborhood scene with a Hometown Greetings Edgelit. The tiny stars were cut with another die from the set, then added with tiny drops of liquid glue and a tacky toothpick.

After I stamped everything I then embossed the entire whisper white piece with the Quilt Top Textured Impressions folder and cut into pieces to match the sketch.

Stampin’ Up! Sunday Swap Day November 19th on Monday the 20th!

Hey there! We celebrated two birthdays yesterday! Two of my sons have birthdays this week; Troy's birthday was yesterday and Logan's is on Wednesday. With both of their birthdays so close to Thanksgiving (Logan was born the day before Thanksgiving) their celebrations have sometimes gotten lost in the shuffle of the holidays. We decided to not let that happen this year!

This is a good group of cards, so let's get started!

First, a lovely Carols of Christmas swap featuring the Softly Falling Textured Impressions Embossing Folder and the Marbled Background. Silver Glimmer paper, Silver Sequin Trim, and Rhinestone Basic Jewels add fun sparkle. This card was created by Cathy Miller.

Next, an Eclipse technique Christmas card using the Large Letter Alphabet Framelits and Christmas Pines stamps. Created by Landa Cartwright

"to the world" is from Hearts Come Home.

Carol Slack sponged a background of Pool Party and Dapper Denim, then subtly stamped snowflakes with Whisper White Craft ink. She cut the houses and church with the Hometown Greetings Edgelits, the tree with a Card Front Builder Dies. She added little pieces of So Saffron card stock behind the windows to make light "shine" through. The greeting is from Star of Light in the Annual Catalog.

Lovely as a Tree has been in the catalog since before I became a demonstrator over 15 years ago, but it's still a favorite of just about everyone! The creator of this easel card stamped the Night of Navy card base with the Sheet Music background, then heat-embossed the tree with white powder on vellum. This card could easily be a luminaria; all it needs is a battery votive inside!

Silver 1/8" ribbon, a Foil Snowflake, and rhinestones add sparkle. The greeting is from Christmas Quilt.
