Stampin’ Up! Sunday Swap Day November 12th!

Stampin’ Up! Sunday Swap Day November 12th!

Hey there! I'm flying home today from the Stampin' Up! OnStage Live in Salt Lake City today, but I scheduled this blog post last night so you would still have new swaps to see!

Today I have another collection of fall-themed swaps that are really good ones!

First, Jan Rodrian used a Sponge Brayer to expertly blend So Saffron, Pumpkin Pie, and Cajun Craze for this amazing fall card created with the Colorful Seasons bundle.

Stampin_up_colorful_seasons_carolpaynestamps1

Next, Tamie Ackerson combined the Eclipse and Baby Wipe techniques for her card with the Colorful Seasons and Painted Harvest stamp sets. She cut the letters for "FALL" with the Large Letters Thinlets dies.

Stampin_up_colorful_seasons_eclipse_carolpaynestamps1

Susie Wood used the Masking Tape technique with Gourd Goodness and Swirly Snowflakes Thinlets for a lovely thank-you card. The Seaside Textured Impressions folder provides texture and Gold Faceted Gems add sparkle.

Stampin_up_gourd_goodness_carolpaynestamps1

Ruth Ann Lilley used the Polished Stone technique on a layer of glossy card stock before stamping over it with the Painted Harvest stamp set. The Label Me Pretty set and Pretty Label Punch created the greeting.

Karen Kurz heat-embossed a Thankful Thoughts greeting with gold powder then layered over Painted Autumn Designer Paper and leaves punched with the Leaf Punch.

Finally, Deb MaCahan used the Tarnished Foil technique with the Woodland Textured Impressions Embossing Folder. She used gold, silver, and copper embossing powders to get this look. She then layered over a strip of Crumb Cake she had stamped with the Tree Rings background.

Stampin’ Up! Woodland Season Like Christmas!

Stampin’ Up! Woodland Season Like Christmas!

Hey there! We experienced another fantastic day at the Stampin' Up! OnStage Live in Salt Lake City yesterday. I can hardly wait to share everything with you!  You won't have to wait long, the curfew will be lifted next week!

While my head has been swimming in Spring with the Occasions Catalog, I have another Christmas card to share with you today. I created this card for a hostess' Stamp-a-Stack. She wanted to learn how to stamp on the Woodland Textured Impressions Embossing Folder so the image appears to be behind the trees. I created this card with the Woodland Folder and the Season Like Christmas set.

Stampin_up_woodland_season_like_christmas_carolpaynestamps1

I stamped on the negative side of the Woodland folder with a Season Like Christmas tree with Tranquil Tide ink before inserting the white layer and cranking through the Big Shot.

Stampin_up_woodland_season_like_christmas_carolpaynestamps3

I used a sponge dauber to add Smoky Slate ink to the trunks and branches.

Stampin_up_woodland_season_like_christmas_carolpaynestamps2

I heat-embossed a Merry Mistletoe greeting with white Stampin' Emboss Powder onto a strip of Tranquil Tide card stock. I cut one end into banner tips before  adhering to the card front with dimensionals.

Stampin_up_woodland_season_like_christmas_carolpaynestamps4

I cut two snowflakes with a four-point Snowflake Sentiment thinlet, then glue-dotted then together to create an 8-point Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer snowflake. I added a single rhinestone to the center.

Stampin_up_woodland_season_like_christmas_carolpaynestamps5

Inside I stamped another Season Like Christmas phrase with Tranquil Tide ink,  sponged the edges with Smoky Slate ink, and then stamped a couple more trees, stamping the lighter one without re-inking the image.

Stampin’ Up! Snowflake Sentiments Envelope Punch Board Box!

Stampin’ Up! Snowflake Sentiments Envelope Punch Board Box!

Hey there! The first day of OnStage Live in SLC was absolutely fabulous! I am blown away by the Occasions and Sale-a-bration catalogs! I can't share any of it with you yet because there are "spoiler" rules, but trust me, you're gonna love all of it!

What I can share with you is this adorable box I created with the Envelope Punch Board. I used a tutorial on Splitcoaststampers by Susan Campfield to create this trio of Christmas treat boxes:

Stampin_up_snowflake_sentiments_carolpaynestamps1

Each of these boxes were created from one 6" x 6" piece of Christmas Quilt Designer Series Paper using the Envelope Punch Board.

Stampin_up_snowflake_sentiments_carolpaynestamps2

Perfect to hold a handful of your fav chocolate! (mine is Rolo's)

Stampin_up_snowflake_sentiments_carolpaynestamps3

Snowflake Sentiments stamped with Real Red ink and punched with the 2" Circle Punch. I punched Garden Green with the Starburst Punch to peek out behind them. A teeny-tiny star from the Hearts & Stars Elements adds a little homespun touch.

Stampin_up_snowflake_sentiments_carolpaynestamps4

I attached a Stitched Felt Embellishment to a Gold Binder Clip with Stampin' Dimensionals for the closure.

Stampin_up_snowflake_sentiments_carolpaynestamps5

There are three different Stitched Felt Embellishments in the pack.

Stampin_up_snowflake_sentiments_carolpaynestamps6

I love this Snowflake Sentiments sentiment! lol!

Stampin_up_snowflake_sentiments_carolpaynestamps7

With 24 different designs in the Quilted Christmas 6" x 6" Designer Series Paper Stack, the possibilities are nearly endless!

Stampin_up_snowflake_sentiments_carolpaynestamps8

With the tutorial I used, I had the option of folding the side flaps inside the box or leaving them on the outside for contrast.

Stampin_up_snowflake_sentiments_carolpaynestamps9

Hearts & Stars Elements also have teeny-tiny hearts!

Stampin’ Up! Merry & Bright Hearts Come Home!

Stampin’ Up! Merry & Bright Hearts Come Home!

Hey there! Let me start by apologizing for no post yesterday. Pretty much all day I was traveling to Salt Lake City, Utah for the Stampin' Up! OnStage Live. We will get to see the Occasions Catalog and the Sale-a-bration Catalogs that start in January 2018, and we will get to play with some of the products too! We flew to Salt Lake City yesterday (with a layover in Dallas),  had a yummy supper at Olive Garden, and then went to bed super early. Relaxing is a golden commodity; I'm soaking it up!

The card I'm sharing with you today is another I created for the November Creative Crew Challenges. This was the second project for the Sketch Challenge. I used Hearts Come Home and the Softy Falling Textured Impressions Folder:

Stampin_up_hearts_come_home_carolpaynestamps1

Here is the sketch. We were to create a tag or a tag to go on a card front.

0c532417d16d313c8e0a7ed84406a7d2

I just received the Mini Tinsel Trim Combo Pack in my last class order. Now I can't figure out why I waited so long to get this trim! A roll of Real Red and a roll of Silver. I used just a little bit to tie off the 1/8" Gold Ribbon on the top of the tag.

Stampin_up_hearts_come_home_carolpaynestamps2

Speaking of the top of the tag, I used a thinlet from the Hometown Greeting Edgelits (you can bundle these with the Hearts Come Home set to save 10%!) to cut the top of the 2" wide tag.

Stampin_up_hearts_come_home_carolpaynestamps3

I love the softly scalloped look of the tag top, and the tiny heart left over I also used on the card!

Stampin_up_hearts_come_home_carolpaynestamps4

I stamped the Santa's sleigh with Smoky Slate and the stars with Marina Mist.

Stampin_up_hearts_come_home_carolpaynestamps5

 There's the tiny heart!

Stampin_up_hearts_come_home_carolpaynestamps6

Stampin’ Up! Hearts Come Home CCREW1117INSP!

Stampin’ Up! Hearts Come Home CCREW1117INSP!

Hey there! Today I am heading to Springfield, IL with my oldest daughter for her son, Cohen's, field trip to the Lincoln Museum, Tomb, Home, and the State Capitol Building! I'm "taking the day off" from everything. How often do we get to do that?

Today I'm sharing with you another card I created for the Creative Crew over on Splitcoaststampers.com. This challenge was an inspiration challenge. Let me show you my card and then I'll show you the inspiration piece. I used the Hearts Come Home set with  Stitched Shapes and Layering Squares framelits, embossing the white background with the Winter Wonder Textured Impression folder.

Stampin_up_hearts_come_home_carolpaynestamps1

I love this little Real Red/Soft Suede house! So cozy! The smoke stamp in this set is so easy to stamp coming right up out of the chimney too!

Stampin_up_hearts_come_home_carolpaynestamps2

I added a single Pearl Basic Jewel to the center of the embossed snowflake. I tried coloring a pearl with the Bronze Stampin' Blends marker, but it was just too much. I liked the softness of no color for the background best.

Stampin_up_hearts_come_home_carolpaynestamps3

I inked the house and the greeting with Real Red and Soft Suede Stampin' Write markers.

Stampin_up_hearts_come_home_carolpaynestamps4

Another cozy house and Hearts Come Home sentiment for the inside:

Stampin’ Up! Hearts Come Home Color Challenge!

Stampin’ Up! Hearts Come Home Color Challenge!

Hey there and happy Monday! Today I have another card I created for the Creative Crew over on Splitcoaststampers for their November Challenge. Today's challenge is a color challenge. We were to take these colors and translate them into a Christmas card:

C7d52470be8ca4d1a1f8ac04b9a87503

My first job was to translate the above colors into Stampin' Up! colors, so I chose these five Stampin' Up! colors to match:

CCREW1117CLR Color Challenge

For my creation with the Challenge Colors I used the Hearts Come Home set with Stitched Shapes Framelits.

Stampin_up_hearts_come_home_carolpaynestamps1

I used one of each of the three shapes of Stitched Shapes Framelits to cut out a stamped Hearts Come Home image.

Stampin_up_hearts_come_home_carolpaynestamps2

I stamped "Joy to the world" repeatedly on the Pink Pirouette background layer with Flirty Flamingo ink. "MERRY & BRIGHT"  is stamped with Real Red.

Stampin_up_hearts_come_home_carolpaynestamps3

I love this little house stamped with Soft Suede. Marina Mist "smoke" is coming out of the chimney.

Stampin_up_hearts_come_home_carolpaynestamps4

I love all of the images in Hearts Come Home.
