Stampin’ Up! Definitely Dahlia Runner-Up!

Stampin’ Up! Definitely Dahlia Runner-Up!

Hey there! I was planning to wrap up my Definitely Dahlia posts yesterday, but then I remembered I had "one more" card to share with you. This card was the predecessor to yesterdays' Blackberry Bliss Definitely Dahlia card:

Stampin_up_crushed_curry_definitely_dahlia_1 - Copy

For all practical purposes it is almost the same card as the one I ended up choosing for the July Online Class, with the exception I did not sponge the dahlia with Blackberry Bliss ink before stamping and the "splatters" from Gorgeous Grunge are stamped with Crumb Cake instead of Blackberry Bliss.

I  "maybe" also went a little overboard with the Gold Sequins, lol!

Inside is similar too:

I put my strip of Farmers Market Designer Paper directly under the sentiment from Fabulous Four, leaving the rest of the layer to write a personal note.

That's it! You can access all of the supplies to order in my online store: www.carolpayne.stampinup.net

Here's the list. It's pretty much the same as yesterday's card, with a few substitutions:

Glue Dots

Stampin’ Up! Last Definitely Dahlia for Online Class!

Stampin’ Up! Last Definitely Dahlia for Online Class!

Hey there! I know it's later than usual getting my post up today. I wanted to share the final card in the July Definitely Dahlia Online Class, but I hadn't  created a third one yet that I liked. I am finally truly happy with this one!

Stampin_up_july_definitley_dahlia_2 - Copy

I inked the dahlia first with Crushed Curry, then pounced a Stampin' Sponge of Blackberry Bliss ink over it. After stamping on Very Vanilla, I added Blackberry Bliss splatters using Gorgeous Grunge.

The "Celebrate" is from the Expressions Natural Elements glue dotted on the strip of Farmers Market Designer Paper. I punched the  Blackberry Bliss flower with an Itty Bitty Accents punch, adding a gold sequin pulled from the Gold Sequin Trim with a glue dot.

Stampin_up_july_definitley_dahlia_3 - Copy

I rounded the corners of the Very Vanilla layers with the Envelope Punch Board corner rounder. After lining the envelope with more Farmers Market paper, I breathed on the dahlia to revitalize the remaining ink to stamp on the Very Vanilla Medium Envelope.

Here's the group of all three cards in the July Online Class. All it takes to receive 6 of these cards, two each of the three designs, plus instructions, is an order of at least $35 in my online store by July 15th!

Stampin’ Up! Definitely Dahlia Meets Hardwood!

Stampin’ Up! Definitely Dahlia Meets Hardwood!

Hey there! I used two background stamps for today's card, Definitely Dahlia and Hardwood:

Stampin_up_definitely_dahlia_hardwood_1 - Copy

Truth: after I made this one I didn't like it AT ALL. I almost threw it away, but laid it aside while I worked on another card. I came back to it a few hours later with "fresh eyes", and then I liked it!

I inked the raised side of the Woodgrain folder before embossing the Soft Suede card stock. I stamped the Dahlia once with Old Olive and twice with Melon Mambo. After hand-cutting the Old Olive and one of the Melon Mambo, I punched the second Melon Mambo with the 7/8" Scallop Circle punch and once with the Bitty Butterfly punch.

The greeting is my favorite from All Boxed Up!

Stampin_up_definitely_dahlia_hardwood_2 - Copy

Inside I used another sentiment from All Boxed Up.

I'm still working on convention swaps, Christmas in July class, three special birthday cards and a special baby shower car, all due BEFORE I go to convention on the 22nd. Oh, and did I mention we are having a yard sale this weekend too? Eeek!

Meanwhile, you can have a relaxing time shopping in my online store while I'm running around like the proverbial headless chicken: www.carolpayne.stampinup.net

Stampin’ Up! Definitely Dahlia Again!

Stampin’ Up! Definitely Dahlia Again!

Hey there! I think I'm a  little obsessed with the Definitely Dahlia stamp and white embossing powder! I have two more color combos for you today:

Stampin_up_definitely_dahlia_1 - Copy

I started with Pear Pizzazz for the card base, then used Pink Pirouette and Rose Red. I embossed the base layer with the Decorative Dots folder, then cut a greeting with a Greetings Thinlets die. I added a new Metal Rimmed Pearl to the center.

Stampin_up_definitely_dahlia_2 - Copy

I used the "thanks" sentiment from Fabulous Four inside.

My final color combo for today: Soft Suede, So Saffron, Tangelo Twist, and Whisper White.

Stampin_up_definitely_dahlia_1 - Copy

I embossed the So Saffron layer with the Arrows folder. I adhered the Expressions Wooden Elements "celebrate" with glue dots and added a Classy Designer button to the flower center, tied with a bit of Linen Thread.

Stampin_up_definitely_dahlia_2 - Copy

I used Tangerine Tango ink for the corner dahlia because it's brighter than Tangelo Twist. I combined two phrases from Fabulous Four, using a Tangerine Tango Stampin' Write Marker to omit the "Celebrate" from "Amazing, Spectacular, Fantastic, You".

So, which one do you like the best, yesterday's Lost Lagoon or today's Rose Red or Tangelo Twist?

Which one is the card for the July Online Class?

If you guessed this Lost Lagoon card, you were right!

Stampin’ Up! Definitely Dahlia for July Online Class!

Stampin’ Up! Definitely Dahlia for July Online Class!

Hey there and happy Monday! If you read my blog daily you probably know I LOVE Mondays!

Today I have the first of three cards for the July Online Class. This month we're using the Definitely Dahlia background for all three cards, actually 6 because you get two each of the three different cards when you order at least $35 in my online store by the 15th of the month!

I have two versions of the same card today, but only one included in the online class. Can you guess which one?

I stamped the Dahlia on four different colors of cardstock with Versamark ink, sprinkled with Clear embossing powder, then heated with my heat tool.  I then cut each into four equal pieces, arranging one of each color:

Stampin_up_definitely_dahlias_5 - Copy

I mounted with Stampin' Dimensionals on a Lost Lagoon card front embossed with the Stylish Stripes folder. I hand-cut the "friend" banner, stamped with the Endless Thanks set.

Stampin_up_definitely_dahlias_6 - Copy
I punched a bit of new white corrugated paper with the 7/8" Scallop Circle Punch, added a tiny flower punched with the Tree Builder Punch, and a rhinestone to the center.

Next I re-made the card:

Stampin_up_definitely_dahlia_1

I used the same stamping technique on the same colors of card stock, but used white embossing powder. I punched "friend" with the Washi Label Punch.

Stampin_up_definitely_dahlia_3 - Copy

This time I used an Antique Brad.

Stampin_up_definitely_dahlia_4 - Copy

I punched the card fold with my 1/4" Circle Handheld punch to add the Silver 1/8" ribbon under the washi label.

Stampin_up_definitely_dahlia_2 - Copy

Inside I stamped the dahlia in the lower left, then added a Fabulous Four sentiment.

Which card do you think is in the online class? Come back tomorrow! lol!
