Stampin’ Up! Hello, Lovely!

Stampin’ Up! Hello, Lovely!

Good morning and happy Tuesday to you! It's another Liam day, so this will have to be quick!

Today's card is by Mary Haugen. Mary added Soho Subway Designer Paper to Crumb Cake cardstock upon which she created her own border by stamping a single stamp from the Hello, Lovely stamp set multiple times along the edge with Crumb Cake ink!

Mary haugen hello lovely

The "you MAKE ME HAPPY" greeting is from Hello, Lovely, as is the Summer Starfruit-stamped arrow. The Very Vanilla scallops were cut with the Adorning Accents Edgelits. A piece of Linen Thread was added for a bit more tactile texture!

Well, I'm off to Liam's, then he & I are headed to Jessica's to spend the day with Jaxon while she has photo sessions. Busy, busy, busy.I'm so glad Liam and Jaxon get to spend some "cousin time" together today!

Until tomorrow, have a Stampingrox! day!

Stampin’ Up! Papillion Potpourri!

Stampin’ Up! Papillion Potpourri!

Good morning! It's Monday and my first day back taking care of Liam! I'm really looking forward to it, he's such a fun little guy!

Today's card is another swap from convention by Andrea MacDonald. Andrea combined the Lattice Bigz Die, Papillion Potpourri, and the Bitty Butterfly punch to create this stunning card!

Andrea macdonald papillon potpourri

Cardstock is Whisper White, Basic Black, and Daffodil Delight. Ink is Jet Black StazOn. A bit of Daffodil Delight Polka Dot Parade Designer Paper and Daffodil Delight 1/2" Seam Binding add just the perfect touch of class to this one!

This card has no greeting, which is card sacrilidge as far as I am concerned (I like for all of my cards to "speak" to me, to invite me to open them!). In this card's defence, however, it could have just about any greeting, except for may "happy father's day" or "merry christmas", and this card would fit the bill!

That's all for now. If you remember from last school year, I go to Liam's house, so I need to get going. I have to drive by another grade school on my way to his house, and if the lights are flashing I have to drive REALLY SLOW!

Until tomorrow, have a Stampingrox! day!

Stampin’ Up! Sunday Swap Day Chalk Talk!

Stampin’ Up! Sunday Swap Day Chalk Talk!

Good morning! It's Sunday again, which means it's Sunday Swap Day! Today I have some convention swaps using the fun new set, Chalk Talk!

Denise Sullivan combined this set with Crisp Cantaloupe Core'dinations cardstock and Birthday Basics Designer Paper. The Core'dinations paper already has a texture to it which Denise emphasized by sanding it lightly.

Brenda Meyers used Crushed Curry for her card base with lightly sanded Coastal Cabana Core'dinations paper which she had cranked through the Big Shot in the Beautifully Baroque Textured Impressions Folder. The Eastern Elegance Designer Paper strip at the bottom matches perfectly with the embossed design and the Chalk Talk stamps used. Brenda used Coastal Cabana 3/8" Ruffled Stretch Ribbon and Basic Jewel Pearls to finish off her design!

Jessica Lewis created this card with a decidedly Halloween feel, even though it says nothing scary! I think it is her color combo of Basic Black, Smoky Slate, and Tangerine Tango that gives me that impression. She embossed Vellum, stamped En Francais on the Basic Black oval with White Craft ink, and stamped the Chalk Talk flourish on Vellum with Black StazOn ink before cutting it out with the matching Chalk Talk Framelit. The "You Make Me Smile" from A Round Array has been heat embossed with Tangerine Tango and punched with the 7/8" Scallop Circle Punch.

That's all for now. It's dark and rainy-looking here today. I've got to get ready to help in the nursery at church this morning. That is sure to brighten my day!

Until tomorrow, have a Stampingrox! day!

Stampin’ Up! Zoo Babies!

Stampin’ Up! Zoo Babies!

Good morning! Another baby card for you today, this time with the Zoo Babies stamp set. This card is another from my monthly swap group, but I can't remember who made this one!

Zoo babies 1

This one is pretty basic, just stamp and punch, stamp and punch, stamp and punch with the 1 1/4" Circle Punch. (ALWAYS stamp FIRST, then punch!) Next layer onto Baked Brown Sugar 1 3/8" Circles. The "congratualtions" in included in the set, how convenient!

Zoo babies 2

Inside, more stamped Zoo Babies, then a verse from Cuddles & Kisses, and you are done!

Oh, and the card base and ribbon is Strawberry Slush, making this card perfect for either a boy or a girl!

That's all for now. I'm getting ready to go to a family reunion this afternoon at Lincoln, IL. Three hours in the truck each way gives me lots of time to work on some things I've had waiting for my attention for awhile! So nice my hubby prefers to drive!

Until tomorrow, which is Sunday Swap Day, have a Stampingrox! day!

Stampin’ Up! Sweetest Gift Baby Girl!

Stampin’ Up! Sweetest Gift Baby Girl!

Good morning! I was looking back through my files and discovered I had not shared this GREAT baby girl card I received in the Convention swaps with my monthly swap back in July using the Sweetest Gift stamp set, Card Base Pop 'n Cuts, and Label Pop 'n Cuts Die!

This card was created by Raedean Shibata. She always goes over the top with her fabulous swaps!

Sweetest gift 1
The only additions I made to this card was the "it's a girl" greeting from the A Dozen Thoughts stamp set and the Dazzling Diamonds glitter.

Sweetest gift 2
Strawberry Slush, Whisper White, and Pink Pirouette cardstocks, 3/8" Ruffle Stretch Ribbon, Ovals Collection Framelits, and Stripes Textured Impressions Folder.

Yes, it's a great card all right. But wait! There's more! Lookie inside:

Sweetest gift 3
Isn't this just adorable? I love the way the curved edges of the Pop 'n Cuts Card Base add to the feminine feel of this card!

Sweetest gift 4
Again, my only addition is a little dab of Dazzling Diamonds!

The "congratulations  . . " phrase is also from Sweetest Gift, and the label layers are from the Deco Labels Collection Framelits.

Well, I've got to get moving. I'm heading over to Jessica's this morning to spend a little time with Jaxon while Jessica takes Cohen to his first day of Kindergarten! She has to stay for an hour of Kg. Orientation. Orientation for Maddie Kate and Ava was in the evening in years past, so this new way of having the moms come the morning of the first day, stay for the first hour, then having to LEAVE their child is not something she is looking foward to! She commented: "Did the teachers get together and decide "what can we do to make the mommies cry?"

I remember Jessica's first day of school like it was yesterday, instead of 30 years ago =(  ! I put her on the bus at 6:30 a.m. the first morning, then sat on my porch steps and cried with Kimberly and Troy on my lap. It was my birthday and I was 24 years old that day. I remembered thinking how could it be that I was old enough to have a child in school already? After 5 more kindergarten first days, 6 high school graduations, 4 college graduations (two more to come!), 3 weddings, and 6 grandchildren later, I still wonder how could I be old enough for all of this, but I KNOW I am exceedingly blessed!

Until tomorrow, have a Stampingrox! day!

Stampin’ Up! Secret Garden Window Card!

Stampin’ Up! Secret Garden Window Card!

Good morning! I am so happy today is the third Thursday of the month! It means I get to stamp with my "Crafty Chix" group at Bondo's Pizza in Galatia!

A few months ago I received the card I am showing you today in my monthly swap. Unfortunately, since then I have lost the creators name, I am sorry!

The Chix like to choose their next months' projects from my display, and this is one of the cards they chose to make today using the Secret Garden stamp set and matching framelits:
