Stampin’ Up! You’ve Got This Black Ice!

Hey there! Here's another card I created with the Black Ice technique with the retiring You've Got This set!

I lightly swiped Basic Black ink over the Silver Foil sheet, then stamped the bloom with the same ink. I dried the ink with my Heat Tool before coloring one bloom with Dark Cherry Cobbler, Light Old Olive, and Dark Daffodil Delight Stampin' Blends.

I dried the ink again with my Heat Tool, then lightly dragged the Versamark pad over the whole piece. After sprinkling with Clear Stampin' Emboss Powder I heated it all with my Heat Tool and viola! Black Ice!

Sequins from the Metallic Assortment adds extra bling! "Thinking of You", is from retiring Teeny Tiny Wishes.

I kept the inside a simple black and white to help the front colored bloom to really pop!

Stampin’ Up! Black Ice Technique!

Hey there! I just learned the "Black Ice" technique, which is quite impressive but very easy! I used the retiring You Move Me set to create this!

The secret to the Black Ice Technique: Silver Foil Sheets! Start by lightly dragging a Basic Black ink pad over a piece of Silver Foil, stamp the images with black ink. Dry with a Heat Tool. Lightly drag a Versamark pad over it. Sprinkle with Clear embossing powder and heat with the Heat Tool until the powder is raised and shiny: voila! Black Ice!

I added rhinestones for more bling!

I used more You Move Me sentiments and images to complete the inside.

Stampin’ Up! Sunday Swap Day on Monday; My Friend Gets to Go Home!

Hey there! My friend and Yes, Mam! Stampers team member, Joanne, successfully came through her gall bladder surgery and will be discharged today! She has a long car ride ahead of her from Atlanta, so please pray for her!

Stampin’ Up! Sunday Swap Day on Tuesday with Southern Serenade!

Hey there! Next Saturday I'll be presenting at a Stampin' Up! OnStage event in Atlanta, Georgia! Exciting, nerve-wracking, and LOTS of samples to prep! I'm working on my display samples, so I'm sharing more swaps today. (Don't worry, you WILL get to see my OnStage samples AFTER the event. I am bound by a Stampin' Up! Confidentiality Rules for now)

I don't own Southern Serenade from the Occasions Catalog, so I was happy to get a few samples to share!

First, an anonymous stamper spongeed Crumb Cake through an oval mask before stamping the blooms and coloring with Rich Razzleberry & Old Olive Stampin' Blends. The greeting is from the Annual Catalog set, Better Together.

Next, Cathy Miller used a Flourishing Phrases greeting with Marina Mist and Very Vanilla, embossing a strip of Marina Mist with the Petal Burst Textured Impressions Folder and adding touches of silver accent:

The lace background stamped in Marina Mist is also from Southern Serenade!

Hey there! At choir practice my eye was drawn to a tote laying on a pew. I had to go home and make this card!

I usedFlourishing Phrases and Playful Backgrounds and the colors I from the bag:

It's really really fun when inspiration is translated onto paper!

I hand-cut two flowers to layer with dimensionals. A Clear Faceted Gem and Clear Wink of Stella provide shimmer and shine.

I used the Pretty Label Punch for the greeting.

Stampin’ Up! Stamper’s Dozen Blog Hop March Edition Sale-a-bration Take 2!

Hey there! It's time for the Stamper's Dozen March Blog Hop! Our theme is SAB second release!

I'm using the Basket Weave Dynamic folder because I wanted to create a "pie " for "PI" Day! lol!

I cut Crumb Cake card stock with Layering Circle Framelits, embossing the smooth circle with the Basket Weave folder inked with Crumb Cake. Sponging with more Crumb Cake ink and adding pearls colored with a Dark Cherry Cobbler Stampin' Blends Marker complete the "pie" look. I layered my "pie" on a lacy picnic cloth stamped repeatedly with the lacy image from Touches of Texture.

This is a "yummy" card!

The Basket Weave folder is available for free in the Blooming Basket Bundle with a $100 order, but you will be able to purchase it singly when the new Annual Catalog comes out in June. But why wait?!
