Stampin’ Up! Black Ice Technique!

Hey there! I just learned the "Black Ice" technique, which is quite impressive but very easy! I used the retiring You Move Me set to create this!

The secret to the Black Ice Technique: Silver Foil Sheets! Start by lightly dragging a Basic Black ink pad over a piece of Silver Foil, stamp the images with black ink. Dry with a Heat Tool. Lightly drag a Versamark pad over it. Sprinkle with Clear embossing powder and heat with the Heat Tool until the powder is raised and shiny: voila! Black Ice!

I added rhinestones for more bling!

I used more You Move Me sentiments and images to complete the inside.

Stampin’ Up! You Move Me!

Hey there! I've had the You Move Me Bundle for awhile but only recently started playing with it! I have two cards to share today!

I used one of the Petal Pair Textured Impressions Folders to emboss the So Saffron front, then layered on a piece of Blushing Bride.

I used the butterfly dies from the Move Me Thinlets to cut the butterfly from Blushing Bride and Delightful Daisy Designer Paper.

I heat-embossed the You Move Me greeting with white powder.

For my second You Move Me card I used Blushing Bride, Basic Black, and Gold Foil!

Layering the Basic Black detail butterfly over the Gold Foil is so, so striking!

I added Basic Black Solid Baker's Twine to match the You Move Me Greeting.

The tiny butterflies are gold heat-embossed and then cut out with a Move Me Thinlet.

Inside is simple stamping and gold embossed butterflies.

Stampin Up! Sunday Swap Day September 3!

Hey there! Since it's Sunday, I am taking a break today from the Creative Crew Challenges with a Fall theme to share with you another stack of swaps!

First, Amy Combs used Beautiful Bouquet with Petal Garden Designer Paper and the Garden Trellis embossing folder for her warm-but-elegant card:

Next, Raedean Shibata used the corner of her inkpads (Wild Wasabi and Pear Pizzazz?) to drag across the white layer to create a unique background for the So Many Shells greeting she cut with a Stitched Shapes oval framelit. The Night of Navy 5/8" Crinkled Seam Binding sets off the Night of Navy stamped greeting, as well as the Night of Navy mat layer cut with a Lots of Labels Framelit.

Sheila Roberts used the Coffee Cafe' Bundle, Coffee Break Designer Paper, and a clear Window Sheet for her creation. The "happy birthday" is from Rose Wonder and "celebrate" is from Thoughtful Banners.

Cheryl Noble used Lots of Love for her creation.

The "consider yourself hugged" circle is the end of a ribbon bookmark!

Finally, Linda Harris used the You Move Me Bundle to create her "bridge" card. I HAVE to try this fold soon!
