Stampin’ Up! Color Challenge!

Hey there! Welcome to the Stampers Dozen October Blog Hop! Our theme is Color Challenge with these yummy colors: Bumblebee, Cinnamon Cider, Cherry Cobbler, Early Espresso, and Very Vanilla!

I decided to use the Love of Leaves Bundle to create a gate fold:

I embossed Cinnamon Cider front panels with the Old World Paper 3D folder. I added 1/4" wide strips of Gold Foil to the edges.

I used Stitched Leaves Dies to cut Cherry Cobbler, Bumblebee, Early Espresso, and Gold Foil leaves. I punched the greeting strip with the Banners Pick a Punch and added a 3/8" Embroidered Ribbon bow.

I stamped Love of Leaves images with Early Espresso, Bumblebee, and Cherry Cobbler to accent the Early Espresso-stamped Love of Leaves sentiment.

Stampin’ Up! Stampers Dozen Blog Hop September Color Challenge!

Hey there! It's time for the Stamper's Dozen Blog Hop!

Our theme this month is a color challenge: Tranquil Tide, Fresh Fig, and Very Vanilla!

As soon as I saw these colors together, I knew it would be perfect to pair with the Painted Harvest stamp set. It's early in the Holiday Catalog season, but so far I've seen more Painted Harvest projects online than any other Holiday Catalog set!

I added Crushed Curry and Soft Suede to the color palette to add to the warmth of the three original colors.

I used sentiments from the Beautiful Bouquet set. "Happy Birthday" fits nicely inside the Pretty Label Punch. I added a Fresh Fig Pretty Label that I cut in half to "stretch" behind the Fresh Fig-sponged greeting before adding it to the cards' belly-band.

As the card is opened the "shutter" starts to open to reveal the inside sentiment:

The farther you open the card, more of the sentiment is revealed:

I added a Gold Faceted Gem for a bit of sparkle!

Though probably not a card you would want to make a million of, it has its' place on the fireplace mantel!

I used the Birthday Blast Bundle from page 11 of the Occasions Catalog. My "Chicks & Chocolate" stampers will make this card this weekend!

This was a fun and easy card to make!

I inked the "celebrate you" stamp first with Versamark, then with Night of Navy. After stamping I sprinkled with clear powder and heated with my Heat Tool.

I made the whole card exclusively with Birthday Blast!

Stampingrox Project Tips!

1. I cut a piece of scrap paper the same size as the Mint Macaron layer to use as my guide to stamp the star blast image.

2. I only needed a small strip of Watermelon Wonder card stock to attach to the back of the Mint Macaron layer, so I laid my die about a 1/2" from the cardstock edge:

Stampin’ Up! Stamper’s Dozen Blog Hop March Edition, Color Challenge!

Hey there! It's time for the Stamper's Dozen Blog Hop! Thirteen blogs with thirteen awesome ideas from top Stampin' Up! Demonstrators! yay!

March's Hop theme is a color challenge!

This color challenge was REALLY a challenge for me! If you follow my blog you know I usually don't use this many colors on one card. Three at the most, and one is usually a neutral, like Whisper White or Very Vanilla!

So I just played with these colors until I came up with this:

I cut a stencil to sponge Lost Lagoon, Blackberry Bliss, and Calypso Coral butterflies on a Whisper White background, then stamped and punched Petite Petals flowers to match!

I managed to use the Old Olive and Hello Honey colors by punching the leaves from Old Olive card stock and punching the flower centers from Hello Honey-stamped blooms with the tiny flower in the Tree Builder Punch!

Although the ribbon is Watermelon Wonder 1" Striped Satin, it coordinates perfectly with Calypso Coral, don't you think?

Inside I sponged more butterflies and stamped a greeting from the Perfect Pairings Sale-a-bration set. REMEMBER! Sale-a-bration will END on Thursday, March 31st, so be sure to place your order of $50 or more so you can get a freebie from the Sale-a-bration brochure!
