Stampin’ Up! Last Chance Retiring List Project Ideas: Timeless Tropical & Garden Wishes!

Hey there! The Last Chance Retiring List launched on Wednesday. I've been super-busy with family obligations since then, so this is my first opportunity to blog and share some past projects I have created with products that will be retiring for good on May 1st.

Before I share some cards, I want to make sure you have access to The Last Chance Retiring List! This one is LARGE PRINT with the French and German sets removed, as well as in page order instead of alphabetical. This should make it easier for you to look them up in your catalog!

First, I have three projects to share that I've created over the past year with the Timeless Tropical stamps and dies.

First, I used Timeless Tropical along with some retired dies to create this sign for the VBS crafts room that I am in charge of every summer. You can find the blog post with the listed supplies HERE.

I also used the same stamps and dies to create these lanyards for one day of VBS!

Earlier this month I posted this card, which is a combination of Timeless Tropical and the new Waves of Inspiration bundle. See the full post with supply list HERE.

The Garden Wishes stamp set and Dandy Wishes dies are another set that is retiring. For this card I used a Rich Razzleberry/Smoky Slate/Basic White color combo. Get all the details for this and the next card HERE.

Stampin’ Up! On the Horizon!

Hey there! Today is a super-exciting day for Stampin' Up! demonstrators! Later today the 2022-2023 Annual Catalog PDF will be posted online for Demonstrators ONLY to see! I will be at my daughter's most of the day helping her get her taxes together for her photography business, so I won't get to see it until evening, but that's will just have to be o.k. Stampin' Up! will also be posting the Retiring List from the current Annual Catalog, which will include discounted prices on some products, so I will be posting that list here tomorrow. April 1st demonstrator's will be allowed to pre-order new catalog products from a pre-selected list so we can start playing with them and getting ready for new catalog kick-off parties. If you are my customer and have ordered from me in the past year you will automatically receive one in the mail from me sometime later in April. My card for today was created with the On the Horizons Bundle of stamps and dies along with the New Horizons 6" x 6" Designer Series Paper!

I was inspired by a swap I received from Barb Dykhouse. Barb's card was a standard-fold card, so I decided to use a z-fold to mine. She also left the card front without a greeting, so I decided to add one to mine.

I heat-embossed the "thinking of you" from On the Horizon with white powder on a strip of Evening Evergreen before cutting with the smaller label from the Waves Dies.

I stamped grass with Evening Evergreen, then layered on die-cut grasses that I cut from a green print of New Horizons Designer Paper. After stamping the wood-look image from On the Horizon with Basic Gray ink, I cut it with one of the two fence dies in the Horizon Dies set. I added another layer of die-cut grass, all with liquid glue, then added a few Pebbles Enamel Shapes.

Inside I stamped another On the Horizon sentiment an a bit of grass, the New Horizons Designer Paper did most of the work for this card!

My card for today was created with the On the Horizons Bundle of stamps and dies along with the New Horizons 6" x 6" Designer Series Paper!

Stampin’ Up! Whirling Sails!

Hey there! Today's card is created with the Give It A Whirl dies, Let's Set Sail Bundle, and the Gentle Waves Background stamp. I love seeing what I can fit into the window cut with the Give It A Whirl dies!

I split this greeting from Let's Set Sail into three parts so it could be read as you turn the dial on the card!

I highlighted the words with Silver Foil stars, cut with a die from the Give It A Whirl set.

Love it!

I used a sentiment from Sunny Sentiments. It's one of the best birthday sentiments in the Annual Catalog! I hope it doesn't retire. Demonstrators get to find out next Wednesday, the 23rd, when we get to see the new Annual Catalog early. Getting to see new products early is just ONE of the perks of purchasing the $99 Stampin' Up! Stampin’ Up! Free As A Bird in Eden!

Hey there! Today's card was created simply for fun, and I love how it turned out! I combined three stamp sets: Free As a Bird, Garden Birdhouses, and Eden's Garden Bundle to come up with this earthy but spring-like card!

After I adhered a layer of In Good Taste Designer Paper to the Crumb Cake card base, I then cut Soft Succulent Designer Paper with an Eden die and added it with tiny dots of liquid glue. I then used a Blending Brush to apply Crumb Cake ink over both layers to give it an aged, vintage look. I stamped the birds on the branch from Free As A Bird (I love those birdies and this set, I have my fingers crossed that it doesn't retire from the catalog next week!) with Soft Suede ink on Crumb Cake, then singled out just one birdie to color with Stampin' Blends Markers. I cut him out with Paper Snips and darkened his eye with the fine tip of a Basic Black Stampin' Write Marker before adhering him above the birdhouse with Mini Stampin' Dimensionals. I created the "sticks bow" by wrapping Linen Thread loosely around about three fingers a couple of times, tied in a bow, then cut the loops apart. I adhered below the bird with a couple of glue dots.

I stamped the birdhouse from Garden Birdhouses with Soft Suede ink on Crumb Cake, cut with my snips, and then colored with Naturals Stampin' Blends. It was also adhered with Mini Stampin' Dimensionals.

I cut Soft Suede card stock with the label from the Eden dies, then stamped and heat embossed the Eden's Garden greeting with white embossing powder. I added a few Brushed Metallic Adhesive-Backed Dots (carried over from the Holiday Mini) to pull it all together.

Inside I stamped a Free As a Bird sentiment on In Good Taste designer paper with Soft Suede ink before adhering. I cut a bit more Soft Suede designer paper with another Eden Die to add below the sentiment with liquid glue. I finished off the inside with more Crumb Cake ink and a Blending Brush.

Stampin’ Up! Tropical Waves!

Hey there! Today I have a fun card for you I created with the Waves of Inspiration Bundle, Timeless Tropical stamps, and the Gentle Waves background stamp.

I stamped the Gentle Waves with Bermuda Bay, masking off the top third of the card with a piece of card stock to create the horizon. I then stamped the wave stamp from the Waves of Inspiration stamp set with Pacific Point. I finished my ocean with a die-cut wave from the Waves Dies.

I inked the palm trees from the Timeless Tropical set with Early Espresso and Mossy Meadow Stampin' Write Markers. I had masked a setting sun with a circle cut with a die as I used Blending Brushes to create the sunset with Pale Papaya and Calypso Coral ink. I added Clear Wink of Stella to the sun and in rings above it to give the look of the fading light.

Inside I finished the card with a mixture of images from both Timeless Tropical and Waves of Inspiration. Love both of these sets!

Stampin’ Up! Daisy Garden!

Hey there! Today's card was created "just because". I've been wanting to play with the Daisy Garden stamp set for awhile, but just hadn't gotten it out, I had so many other cards that needed to be made.

I decided to use Pacific Point as my card base and ink color, then pulled out my Stamparatus to be sure I got good ink coverage with this large "background" stamp!

I colored the stems and leaves with a Soft Succulent Stampin' Write Marker, and added Clear Wink of Stella to the daisy centers. The wink moved the Pacific Point ink a bit to give the centers a soft over-all color!

I punched the Sunny Sentiments greeting with the Everyday Label Punch, then punched a second label from Pacific Point to cut in half and add behind it.

Inside I stamped a sentiment from the Hello Beautiful stamp set and stamped the Daisy Garden along the bottom of the layer. I also stamped the daisies on the front and flap of the envelope.
