Stampin’ Up! Last Chance Retiring List Free As A Bird, Sunny Sentiments, and Senior Years!

Hey there! I'm back again today with another collection of cards I've created in the past year with products, primarily stamps and dies, that are on the Last Chance Retiring List! Some items are discounted from 20-50% off and some are regular price, just going away. Here's the list for you to print and/or browse before I get started today:

I used the retiring stamp set, Free As A Bird, to add the birdie to this card. The rest of the products used, with the exception of the Designer Series Papers, are not retiring. See the original post and supply list HERE.

Stampin’ Up! Free As A Bird in Eden!

Stampin’ Up! Free As A Bird in Eden!

Hey there! Today's card was created simply for fun, and I love how it turned out! I combined three stamp sets: Free As a Bird, Garden Birdhouses, and Eden's Garden Bundle to come up with this earthy but spring-like card!

Stampin_up_free_as_a_bird_carolpaynestamps3

After I adhered a layer of In Good Taste Designer Paper to the Crumb Cake card base, I then cut Soft Succulent Designer Paper with an Eden die and added it with tiny dots of liquid glue. I then used a Blending Brush to apply Crumb Cake ink over both layers to give it an aged, vintage look. I stamped the birds on the branch from Free As A Bird (I love those birdies and this set, I have my fingers crossed that it doesn't retire from the catalog next week!) with Soft Suede ink on Crumb Cake, then singled out just one birdie to color with Stampin' Blends Markers. I cut him out with Paper Snips and darkened his eye with the fine tip of a Basic Black Stampin' Write Marker before adhering him above the birdhouse with Mini Stampin' Dimensionals. I created the "sticks bow" by wrapping Linen Thread loosely around about three fingers a couple of times, tied in a bow, then cut the loops apart. I adhered below the bird with a couple of glue dots.

Stampin_up_free_as_a_bird_carolpaynestamps5

I stamped the birdhouse from Garden Birdhouses with Soft Suede ink on Crumb Cake, cut with my snips, and then colored with Naturals Stampin' Blends. It was also adhered with Mini Stampin' Dimensionals.

Stampin_up_free_as_a_bird_carolpaynestamps6

I cut Soft Suede card stock with the label from the Eden dies, then stamped and heat embossed the Eden's Garden greeting with white embossing powder. I added a few Brushed Metallic Adhesive-Backed Dots (carried over from the Holiday Mini) to pull it all together.

Stampin_up_free_as_a_bird_carolpaynestamps7

Inside I stamped a Free As a Bird sentiment on In Good Taste designer paper with Soft Suede ink before adhering. I cut a bit more Soft Suede designer paper with another Eden Die to add below the sentiment with liquid glue. I finished off the inside with more Crumb Cake ink and a Blending Brush.

Stampin’ Up! Bird Ballad Scrappy Strips!

Stampin’ Up! Bird Ballad Scrappy Strips!

Hey there! I couldn't resist playing with the Scrappy Strips technique again, this time with the retiring Bird Ballad Designer Series paper!

Stampin_up_bird_ballad_scrappy_strips_carolpaynestamps1

I cut up lots of scraps of Bird Ballad Designer Series Paper to create this card. I also used a stamp set I love but haven't used enough, Here's A Card for the greeting and inside sentiment. I stamped the "Hello there" with Tuxedo Black ink, then stamped the single bloom from Free As A Bird with Pool Party before punching with the retiring 1" Circle Punch. I punched Pool Party with the retiring 1 1/8" Scalloped Circle Punch to mat behind it.

Stampin_up_bird_ballad_scrappy_strips_carolpaynestamps2

I cut a thin strip of Basic Gray card stock, then embossed with the Subtle 3D Embossing Folder to create a faux ribbon. I hand-cut the birds on the flowery branch with Paper Snips to mount over the "ribbon" with Mini Stampin' Dimensionals.

Stampin_up_bird_ballad_scrappy_strips_carolpaynestamps4

Stampin’ Up! Free As A Bird Starburst!

Stampin’ Up! Free As A Bird Starburst!

Hey there! I still have Free As A Bird, Music From the Heart, and Bird Ballad Designer paper on my crafting table, so I decided to use Laura Milligan's tutorial to create my own Starburst card! I turned my starburst the other direction from Laura's and used both a print from the Bird Ballad Designer Paper and Pool Party card stock that I embossed with the Ornate Floral 3D folder:

Stampin_up_starburst_free_as_a_bird_carolpaynestamps1

I colored the birdies on the branch from Free As A Bird with Stampin' Blends, and then punched them with the Label Me Pretty Punch.

I stamped the greeting from Music From the Heart on a 1/2" x 2 1/2" strip of white. After adhering with a couple of mini stampin' dimensionals, I added a Daffodil Delight Adhesive-Backed Sequin and a tiny Pearl Basic Jewel.

Stampin’ Up! Sunday Swap Day Spring Blessings!

Stampin’ Up! Sunday Swap Day Spring Blessings!

Hey there! Happy Palm Sunday! In past years our church has presented a Palm Sunday program of song and pageantry depicting the final days of our Savior's life here on earth. Preparations were being made for this year's program, but of course, the pandemic put it on hold. I hope we are able to present it when life goes back to normal!

Today's cards all feature Easter themes, starting with this bright and cheery Timeless Tulips card by Barb Dykhouse.

After stamping the tulip on Whisper White, she cut it out with a Stitched So Sweetly die, and added the black "hello". To me this looks a bit like a postage stamp!

Stampin_up_timeless_tulips_carolpaynestamps1

Here's a quick supply list for this card:

Next, Jan Rodrian clear heat-embossed Free as a Bird on Daffodil Delight, cut with a Stitched Nested Die, then sponged with Daffodil Delight for a great spring look:
Stampin_up_free_as_a_bird_carolpaynestamps1

The supplies:

The bunny from Fable Friends can be used for Easter, but he also looks like Peter Rabbit! Ruth Bingle stamped him on a layer cut with a Stitched Labels Die, colored with Stampin' Blends, and paper-pieced his jacket with the same paper as the background from Tropical Oasis Designer Paper! The greeting is also cut with a Stitched Labels Die.
