Stampin’ Up! Last Chance Retiring List Project Ideas: Timeless Tropical & Garden Wishes!

Stampin’ Up! Last Chance Retiring List Project Ideas: Timeless Tropical & Garden Wishes!

Hey there! The Last Chance Retiring List launched on Wednesday. I've been super-busy with family obligations since then, so this is my first opportunity to blog and share some past projects I have created with products that will be retiring for good on May 1st.

Before I share some cards, I want to make sure you have access to The Last Chance Retiring List! This one is LARGE PRINT with the French and German sets removed, as well as in page order instead of alphabetical. This should make it easier for you to look them up in your catalog!

Download

First, I have three projects to share that I've created over the past year with the Timeless Tropical stamps and dies.

First, I used Timeless Tropical along with some retired dies to create this sign for the VBS  crafts room that I am in charge of every summer. You can find the blog post with the listed supplies HERE.

Stampin_up_timeless_tropical_carolpaynestamps1

I also used the same stamps and dies to create these lanyards for one day of VBS!

Earlier this month I posted this card, which is a combination of Timeless Tropical and the new Waves of Inspiration bundle. See the full post with supply list HERE.

The Garden Wishes stamp set and Dandy Wishes dies are another set that is retiring. For this card I used a Rich Razzleberry/Smoky Slate/Basic White color combo. Get all the details for this and the next card HERE.

Stampin’ Up! Dragonfly Garden True Friend!

Stampin’ Up! Dragonfly Garden True Friend!

Hey there! Today's card is green, but it isn't St. Patrick's Day green. I don't have to worry about being pinched today whether I wear green or not as I will be staying home all day with Fiona! lol!

I decided to play around with the alcohol marker/alcohol technique a little bit to try and replicate a card I found on Pinterest. The person who uploaded it didn't have any directions, as I don't believe it was their card anyway, so I just winged it. My card doesn't look much like the inspiration piece, but that's ok!

I started with a layer of 4" x 5 1/4" Very Vanilla. I stamped the flower stems one at a time, sprinkled with gold embossing powder, and then heated before I stamped the next flower so I could place them where I wanted. Then I stamped the greeting and the dragonflies (which also sort of look like butterflies). I used images from both the Dragonfly Garden and Garden Wishes stamp sets. Next I scribbled color on the flower heads and the dragonflies with a Dark Magenta Madness Stampin' Blends Alcohol Marker. I then used a watercolor brush to dab 91% Rubbing Alcohol on each bloom to cause the color to pool and spread. 91% alcohol dries pretty quickly, so I was then able to color around and over the gold embossed stems and background with a Light Soft Succulent Stampin' Blends marker.

Stampin_up_dragonfly_garden_carolpaynestamps1

My next step was to dab tiny dots of liquid glue over the layer. I let it set to dry tacky for a few  minutes, then pressed Gilded Leafing onto the card front. I then used a dry brush to flick away the leafing that was not stuck to the glue.

Stampin_up_dragonfly_garden_carolpaynestamps2

I tied Gold 3/8" Fine Art Ribbon around the card, tying in a simple knot.

Stampin_up_dragonfly_garden_carolpaynestamps3

I really love how the Dark Magenta Madness pops against the muted Soft Succulent color.

Stampin_up_dragonfly_garden_carolpaynestamps4

I added a Dragonfly Garden sentiment and a few more flowers stems inside with gold heat embossing.

Stampin’ Up! Dandelions 3D Embossing Folder Card with New Blending Brushes!

Stampin’ Up! Dandelions 3D Embossing Folder Card with New Blending Brushes!

Hey there! While scrolling back through the past couple of weeks of posts I've realized I missed posting this card I created along with the Garden Wishes cards I shared with you HERE. So without further delay, here's a card created with the Dandelion 3D embossing folder, Curvy Dies, Garden Wishes, and the new Blending Brushes!

Stampin_up_garden_wishes_carolpaynestamps11 (2)

This is a better view of the area embossed with the Dandelions 3D Embossing folder. After embossing I used one of the  new Blending Brushes to add Bumblebee ink to the raised areas. These brushes are absolutely wonderful! You can get as heavy or as light of ink coverage as you want and when you are done you simply rinse the brush with cold water, pat it dry with a clean towel, and it's ready to use again in another color! I also added color to the edges of the Basic White layer with the same Blending Brush.

Stampin_up_garden_wishes_carolpaynestamps12 (2)

I colored white Gold 3/8" Metallic-Edge Ribbon with a Dark Basic Black Stampin' Blend to tie in a bow. I added a single Opal Round to the bottom corner to finish it all off.

NOW I have shared all of the Garden Wishes cards I've made (so far)!

Stampin’ Up! Garden Wishes Sneak Peek!

Stampin’ Up! Garden Wishes Sneak Peek!

Hey there! On this last day of 2020 I want to just say that while this year has not be anything like any of us expected, I'm still thankful for life, for my family, and for my Savior. HE is what has brought us through this year and I am praying 2021 is better for everyone!

Today I have a few cards to share that I have created with the new Garden Wishes Bundle from the upcoming January/June Mini Catalog. I also used the Ornate Floral 3D embossing folder and the Curvy Dies that are also in the mini.

First, a Bumblebee/Whisper White creation with a Smoky Slate base and the bee stamped on Smoky Slate:

Stampin_up_garden_wishes_carolpaynestamps8 (2)

Inside sentiment from Garden Wishes:

Stampin_up_garden_wishes_carolpaynestamps7 (2)

I made this one "pop" a bit more by using a Basic Black mat behind the flowers:

Stampin_up_garden_wishes_carolpaynestamps4 (2)

My favorite is this one stamped with Rich Razzleberry ink:

Stampin_up_garden_wishes_carolpaynestamps1 (2)

When I added Clear Wink of Stella to the blooms it blurred the ink just a bit, which I liked!

Stampin_up_garden_wishes_carolpaynestamps2

The blooms and the Rich Razzleberry mat behind them were all cut with a Dandy Wishes die. I cut the Rich Razzleberry layer in half so I could "stretch" it to fit around the stamped blooms. I adhered to the card with dimensionals.

Another Garden Wishes sentiment:
