Stampin’ Up! Papillion Potpourri!

Stampin’ Up! Papillion Potpourri!

Good morning! It's Monday and my first day back taking care of Liam! I'm really looking forward to it, he's such a fun little guy!

Today's card is another swap from convention by Andrea MacDonald. Andrea combined the Lattice Bigz Die, Papillion Potpourri, and the Bitty Butterfly punch to create this stunning card!

Andrea macdonald papillon potpourri

Cardstock is Whisper White, Basic Black, and Daffodil Delight. Ink is Jet Black StazOn. A bit of Daffodil Delight Polka Dot Parade Designer Paper and Daffodil Delight 1/2" Seam Binding add just the perfect touch of class to this one!

This card has no greeting, which is card sacrilidge as far as I am concerned (I like for all of my cards to "speak" to me, to invite me to open them!). In this card's defence, however, it could have just about any greeting, except for may "happy father's day" or "merry christmas", and this card would fit the bill!

That's all for now. If you remember from last school year, I go to Liam's house, so I need to get going. I have to drive by another grade school on my way to his house, and if the lights are flashing I have to drive REALLY SLOW!

Until tomorrow, have a Stampingrox! day!

Stampin’ Up! Sweetest Gift Baby Girl!

Stampin’ Up! Sweetest Gift Baby Girl!

Good morning! I was looking back through my files and discovered I had not shared this GREAT baby girl card I received in the Convention swaps with my monthly swap back in July using the Sweetest Gift stamp set, Card Base Pop 'n Cuts, and Label Pop 'n Cuts Die!

This card was created by Raedean Shibata. She always goes over the top with her fabulous swaps!

Sweetest gift 1
The only additions I made to this card was the "it's a girl" greeting from the A Dozen Thoughts stamp set and the Dazzling Diamonds glitter.

Sweetest gift 2
Strawberry Slush, Whisper White, and Pink Pirouette cardstocks, 3/8" Ruffle Stretch Ribbon, Ovals Collection Framelits, and Stripes Textured Impressions Folder.

Yes, it's a great card all right. But wait! There's more! Lookie inside:

Sweetest gift 3
Isn't this just adorable? I love the way the curved edges of the Pop 'n Cuts Card Base add to the feminine feel of this card!

Sweetest gift 4
Again, my only addition is a little dab of Dazzling Diamonds!

The "congratulations  . . " phrase is also from Sweetest Gift, and the label layers are from the Deco Labels Collection Framelits.

Well, I've got to get moving. I'm heading over to Jessica's this morning to spend a little time with Jaxon while Jessica takes Cohen to his first day of Kindergarten! She has to stay for an hour of Kg. Orientation. Orientation for Maddie Kate and Ava was in the evening in years past, so this new way of having the moms come the morning of the first day, stay for the first hour, then having to LEAVE their child is not something she is looking foward to! She commented: "Did the teachers get together and decide "what can we do to make the mommies cry?"

I remember Jessica's first day of school like it was yesterday, instead of 30 years ago =(  ! I put her on the bus at 6:30 a.m. the first morning, then sat on my porch steps and cried with Kimberly and Troy on my lap. It was my birthday and I was 24 years old that day. I remembered thinking how could it be that I was old enough to have a child in school already? After 5 more kindergarten first days, 6 high school graduations, 4 college graduations (two more to come!), 3 weddings, and 6 grandchildren later, I still wonder how could I be old enough for all of this, but I KNOW I am exceedingly blessed!

Until tomorrow, have a Stampingrox! day!

Good morning! I am so happy today is the third Thursday of the month! It means I get to stamp with my "Crafty Chix" group at Bondo's Pizza in Galatia!

A few months ago I received the card I am showing you today in my monthly swap. Unfortunately, since then I have lost the creators name, I am sorry!

The Chix like to choose their next months' projects from my display, and this is one of the cards they chose to make today using the Secret Garden stamp set and matching framelits:

Stampin’ Up! Delicate Doilies Butterflies!

Stampin’ Up! Delicate Doilies Butterflies!

Good morning! How is your day going so far? I have a new card to show you today, one of my creations for my "SWOW" Class this Saturday (SWOW stands for "Simply WOW"!)

Delicate mosaics 1

LOTS of Vintage/Shabby Chic going on here!

I white heat embossed images from the Delicate Doilies stamp set on Blushing Bride cardstock, then cut them out with the Beautiful Butterflies Bigz Die. After sponging all the edges with Soft Suede ink I added them to the card with Stampin' Dimensionals. Very Vintage Designer Buttons with a piece of Linen Thread tied through them was added with a Glue Dot, then topped off with a Basic Jewel Pearl!

The Very Vanilla layer was texturized witht the Modern Mosaics folder, then sponged with Soft Suede ink.

Crumb Cake 1/2" Seam Binding, "Happy Birthday" from Create a Cupcake white heat embossed and punched with the Word Window Punch, with one more pearl to finish it off!

Delicate mosaics 2

Inside I stamped the Hello Doily background stamp with Sahara Sand ink on the Very Vanilla layer, then sponged the edges with Soft Suede ink. The Create a Cupcake verse is stamped with Soft Suede, then a final butterfly that matches the ones on the car front!

Some might consider this card a bit fussy, but I really like it!

It's back to the creative mojo for me today! Liam comes to stay with me this afternoon, so I'm on a bit of a time bomb! yikes! I have two of my SWOW projects created and one of my Christmas Card Class projects figured out, so I'm half done! But I have in mind what I want to do, it's just a matter of gathering my supplies and working ont them!

Until tomorrow, have a Stampingrox! day!

Stampin’ Up! Gift Bow Bigz Die!

Stampin’ Up! Gift Bow Bigz Die!

After posting the video on my Facebook page,  Carol Payne Stamps, I thought today would be a good time to show you a couple of the bows I've put together using the Gift Bow Bigz Die!

Bow 2
I used some retired Christmas designer paper for the bow on the right. It was the first bow I made to practice.

Bow 1

I used the Winter Frost Designer Specialty Paper in the Holiday Catalog for the second bow. I think it is simply GORGEOUS!!!!!!!! This paper is one-sided foil and is so beautiful! I added a Jumbo Rhinestone to the center just for a little more bling.

I haven't made any of the other bows shown in the video yet, but I made these before I viewed the video. This die will be used for many occasions, including birthdays and baby gifts! I'm really excited about this die!

Well, I need to get off here. Today is Oakley's first Sunday at church! I've missed the last few weeks with helping out Alisa after Oakley's birth and then after coming home from the NICU. It will be good to be back with my church family!

Until tomorrow, have a Stampingrox! day!

Stampin’ Up! Washi Tape Butterfly Birthday!

Stampin’ Up! Washi Tape Butterfly Birthday!

Good morning! Yesterday was a CRAZY day at my house! Just being away from my home for two weeks with three males still living there is insanity itself, so of course I've been de-cluttering and doing MASSIVE LOADS of laundry! In addition, I think I had almost all my stamping supplies pulled out at one time or another yesterday! I'm doing some stamp room re-organization along with getting ready for my Holiday Catalog Open House on Saturday, so it was a mess! But you know you generally have to make a mess to change and reorganize, so it's coming along!

Tonight I have a Stamp Camp for Kim Norris. Kim & I have been anticipating her party for a few months while we waited for Kim's new kitchen to be completed and some family events (Kim's & mine!) to progress. Kim has been watching my blog and Facebook page, picking out the projects she wants to make.

Today's card is an adaptation of the card I posted HERE from the Fiji sample boards:

Gingham Garden Washi Butterfly 1

I combined Gingham Garden Washi Tape with the Beautiful Butterflies Die. The Polaroid-look is very trendy right now, so I created the photo square withthe new Square Framelits!. The greeting is from Itty Bitty Banners cut with the Bitty Banners Framelits.

Gingham Washi Butterfly 2
The inside greeting is from Yippee Skippee. The smaller Gingham Garden Washi Tape butterfly was also cut with the same Beautiful Butterflies Bigz Die. The washi tape makes it quick and easy!

Well, I have one more card left to create for tonight, so I need to get going!

Until tomorrow, have a Stampingrox! day!
