Another Stampin’ Up! Art Journal with Creative Elements!

Another Stampin’ Up! Art Journal with Creative Elements!

Just another quick post today. Trying to get a few posts ready in case my internet doesn't get restored quickly.

Here's another version of the On Board Art Journals I gave to my downline this past Christmas:

I used another of the fabrics from the "Springtime Vintage" fat-quarter fabric pack, and the Blossom Punch again. I used one of our Large Basic Jewel Pearls  from the Occasions Mini in the center of the flower, which also includes punches from the 5-Petal Flower Punch and the Boho Blossoms Punch.

Again, I stamped the inside with images from the "Creative Elements" stamp set:

That's it for today, thanks for stopping by and have a Stampingrox! Day!

Stampin’Up! OnBoard Art Journal & Creative Elements!!

Stampin’Up! OnBoard Art Journal & Creative Elements!!

Just wanted to share with you this Onboard Art Journal I decorated and gave to my downline who attended my Christmas Party this past year. It's a "create" journal for them to use to jot down ideas and inspirations for their business and pleasure stamping (which for me is one and the same!) The viney-flourish from the "Creative Elements" set and has been heat embossed with White Embossing Powder directly on the naked cover. The "create" words from the same set were white embossed on a Baja Breeze strip of cardstock and then Ticket Corner-punched on each corner. A Basic Jewel Pearl, a big strip of "Springtime Vintage" fabric tied into a pretty knot, and a flower punched with the "Blossom Punch"  and a Jumbo Pearl finish it off with flair!

I used more stamps from the same set to embellish each page!

I love how the fabric decorates the inside cover too! I just clipped the fabric fat quarter along the side the width I wanted my strip to be, then tore the fabric all the way across the piece! Tearing fabric can be a very satisfying, stress-reliever! Give it a try sometime!

That's all for now! Today is my last day to get my taxes finished! Until tomorrow, have a
"Stampingrox!" Day!

A Sunday Post!

A Sunday Post!

Slooowly I am getting better at posting to my blog on a consistent basis, which was one of my goals at the beginning of January. I actualy started after I returned from Leadership in mid-January, and have been building up ever since! How do you like it? If some of you would leave me a comment, I might be encouraged to offer you all some blog candy one of these days, how about that?????!!!

These next three cards are some of my favorites from this month's swap (although they have all bee SO GREAT, it's really hard to choose!)

Rene Watson used the "Scallop Square" punch on page 201 of the Big Catalog to highight the "Springtime Vintage" Designer Series Paper from the Occasions Mini catalog. She added some "Victoria" Crochet Trim and a Basic Jewels Pearl to the "sending Springtime smiles" greeting! Her color palette base is Old Olive and Not Quite Navy! Beautiful!

Sadly, "No Name 1" is how I had to label this card after I loaded it on my computer. It is such a beautiful card, but I can't give anyone credit! Whoever you are, you did a fantastic job, stamping and coloring the blossoming branch from "Easter Blossoms" on Whisper White before running it through the Big Shot with the "Square Lattice" Textured Impressions Folder. I love the extra little touch of the Basic Pearl in the little girl's bow!

Susie Wood tore her "Springtime Vintage" fabric from the Occasions Mini into strips before adding it as a background layer to this beautiful creation! She also used the Occasions Mini "Baby Blossoms" for her focal point flower, with the Crumb Cake stamped-off background stamp from "Charming" on page 130 of the Big Catalog before punching with one of our Circle punches and layering on the smaller scalloped square from the "Scalloped Squares Duo" die for the Big Shot! This is all layered on a Very Vanilla Big Shot "Lattice" layer which is then layered again on "Perfect Polka Dot" Very Vanilla for an elegant, tone-on-tone look!

Happy President’s Day!

Happy President’s Day!

Good morning and Happy President's Day! We had a busy day yesterday, celebrating my hubby's birthday! We try to get the whole family together on a Sunday close to the birthday boy or girl's birthday, and yesterday was Mark's Day! It was a glorious day too, it was warm and spring-like outside, so after our big lunch the grandkids and some of the older "kids" went out to jump on the trampoline and fly kites! I'm glad we had a good day for it yesterday, because today is gray and threatening rain!

Just a few more swap cards to show you today, then it will be on to NEW stuff tomorrow!

Carla Starry used the "Delight in Gladness" and "Butterfly Bliss" Builder Wheels from the Occasions Mini with Pacific Point ink and cardstock to create this perky, happy card! She also used the "Beautiful Wings" Embosslit with the Big Shot to create the butterflies fluttering around on this card!

The unknown creator of this lovely card used the "Emboss-Resist" technique with images from "Easter Blossoms' in the Occasions Mini. She stamped and clear embossed the springtime branch image from this set on glossy cardstock which had been die-cut with the larger square of the Scallop Squares Duo Die and the Big Shot. After embossing the branch, she then applied ink over the entire square with most likely a brayer. The embossed image "resists" the ink!

And lastly, St. Patrick's Day will be here before we know it, so get your green ready! Diane O'Connor used the "Lucky Shamrock" single wood stamp from the last page of the Occasions mini as her focal point for this card, as well as the "Framed Tulips" Textured Impressions Folder, Springtime Vintage Designer Paper, and the "lucky" definition from "Define Your Life"!

I’m a day behind!

I’m a day behind!

Here it is Friday and I just realized that I didn't post yesterday! I'm sorry! Here's the next installment from my monthly swap! (and it's just about time to mail in the February swaps, so there will be more for you to see soon!)

Here's a beautifully elegant card using the Occasions Mini set, "Blessed Mother". The phrase, "you raise kindness to an art" is from "Vintage Vogue" on page 126 of the main catalog!

"Baby Blossoms" from the Occasions Mini was used for this card. The phrase, "with sympathy", is from "Teeny Tiny Wishes" on page 157 of the main catalog.

I've been dying to show you this gorgeous card using both the "Framed Tulips" and "Manhattan Flower" Textured Impressions Folders. "With love & caring" and the butterfly is from "Thanks for Caring" and the Springtime Vintage Designer Paper is all from the Occasions Mini!

Thanks for caring feb 10

That's all for today. I'm putting the finishing touches on my "Do you need a Valentine?" Class tonight and tomorrow, and then tomorrow night my "Yes, Ma'am!" Stampers, my downline, are comint to stamp! Sunday morning will find me in the church nursery, and then Sunday afternoon I will be working on my cards for this month's swap! Lots of fun coming up! (If only I didn't have to clean my house, but hey that's what those two tall boys who still hang around here, eat my groceries, and make dirty laundry are for, eh?)

Until next time, have a "Stampingrox!" day!

Create-a-Cupcake!

Create-a-Cupcake!

Here's a few more swaps from my monthly swap, this time all using the fun new set, Create a Cupcake, and the Build a Cupcake Punch!

First up, cute layout I definitely want to case from Amy Combs! I love the way she used the Paper Crimper to give the cupcake paper a realistic look, and her use of the punched Designer Series Paper for her background!

Cathy Stephenson combined Early Espresso, Pacific Point, Daffodil Delight, & Cherry Cobbler with Whisper White to creat this happy card!

Jan Rodrian used the gorgeous In-Color, Concord Crush, with Whisper White cardstock, Red Glimmer Paper, the stamp set, Curly Cute, In-Color Designer Series Paper Pack Hostess Level 1, Concord Crush 1/2" Poly-Stitched ribbon, and Real Red 1/8" Taffeta ribbon to create this one! Upon close inspection, I found that she actually used Glossy White cardstock for the cupcake frosting that had been run through the Big Shot with the Perfect Polka-Dots Textured Impressions Folder! (sorry you can't see it in the photo, but in real life the frosting looks a little like marshmallow creme!)

Unfortunately, this last one has no name, but they did a great job of pairing the Sprintime Vintage Designer Series Paper with the Rose Red & Wild Wasabi cardstock! (Sorry, the Wild Wasabi looks gray in the picture.)The Eyelet Border punched flap on the right side actually opens up and you could add a heartfelt sentiment inside!
