Stampin’Up! Wonderful Blessing Ornament!

Stampin’Up! Wonderful Blessing Ornament!

Hey there! We had a wonderful Saturday with our house full of family, good food, fun games, a personality quiz, and lots of laughter!

Cohen & Jaxon spent the night so Johnny & Jessica & Ava could take Maddie Kate to her first Cheer Competition in Mt Vernon, and Kimmy & Liam spent the night just because! SO FUN!

My project to share with you today is another from my upcoming Christmas Catch-up Class on December 13th! If you are local to me, please let me know of your intentions to come!

We will be using the Wonderful Blessing Single Stamp to create this easy ornament. I white heat-embossed the image on Midnight Muse cardstock, then cut it out with one of the Circle Collection Framelits. I layered it on a Silver Glimmer circle, then another Midnight Muse circle. I used my hot glue gun to add the 1/8" Silver Ribbon to the back of the ornament.

Up super-close you can see the fine detail of the Wonderful Blessing image. I added just a touch of bling with a Rhinestone Basic Jewel to the Christmas star.

On the back side I covered the hot-glued ribbon with a circle of Winter Frost Specialty Designer Paper, then a Whisper White circle that I stamped with one of the phrases from More Merry Messages with Midnight Muse ink.

This is really an easy ornament. I need to make a few more of these even before the class on the 13th!

That's all for now. Thanks so much for stopping by. You can order the supplies to make your own from my Online Store: www.carolpayne.stampinup.net

Stampin’ Up! Best of Christmas!

Stampin’ Up! Best of Christmas!

Hey there! I'm posting tonight from my new laptop. The old one (only 2 years, but apparently that is old in laptop years) is on it's last leg. It doesn't charge well anymore, so I decided to upgrade before it completely bit the dust. My techie son, Troy, says he can get all my info from it even if it is dead, as long as the motherboard isn't dead, but I wanted to upgrade before I go to Leadership anyway (and for a end-of-year tax deduction!) so here I am!

I am on a learning curve, as this one runs Windows 8, which is COMPLETELY different than my previous Windows 7, but I am gradually getting used to it. I am also trying to operate without my trusty wireless mouse! I've been mouse-dependent for years, and have been really resistant to using just the built-in mousepad because it seems like every one I've tried to use before, things just sort of went flying around as I was typing – losing my place is frustrating, but this time I think the pad is cooperating with me and nothing so far has flown away! lol!

We had our family get-together for Troy & Logan's birthdays today, and it was a great time! There are 17 of us now, including the babies, so it definitely isn't quiet! I LOVE it!

After everyone went home to tuck the babies in bed, I sat down and created these two projects with the Best of Christmas stamp set:

It's a luminaria! I cut the opening for the vellum with one of the Festive Flurry Framelits, then embossed the Crumb Cake layer with the Woodgrain Textured Impressions Folder. I heat embossed the nativity image from Best of Christmas with Early Espresso Stampin' Emboss Powder. I also sponged the texture with Crumb Cake ink.

From the side you can see the battery-powered candle I used to light it up!

Stampin_up_best_of_christmas_4

I heat-embossed a phrase from Christmas Messages with Early Espresso powder, then cut it out with a smaller Festive Flurry Framelit. The "Believe" is from Snowflake Soiree, Early Espresso heat-embossed then cut out with an Oval Collection Framelit.

For my ornament I Gold Heat Embossed the same image on Crumb Cake, cut it out with a Festive Flurry Framelit, then sponged the edges with Crumb Cake ink. I mounted it on a circle cut from Champagne Glimmer Paper, then another circle of Chocolate Chip. Both circles were cut with Circles Collection Framelits. I Gold heat embossed "Believe" on Chocolate Chip, then cut it out with one of the Circle Card Framelit Dies. I added a hanger to the back of Victoria Crochet Trim. LOVE!
