Stampin’Up! NEW Annual 2012-2013 Catalog is HERE!

I really must apologize for the lack of blogging the past few days. I've been head-down getting ready for this weekend! LOTS going on around here! I had my New Catalog "Crazy Day" Open House yesterday, and WOW it WAS CRAZY! Over 40 stampers showed up to get their new sprial bound catalog from me, pick up unbound catalogs for friends who couldn't come, sign up for classes and product shares, view new catalog samples, and stamp two cute Make n' Takes!

Here's one (two actually, as their was a choice between these two samples):

Box 1

Aren't these CUTE!!!???!!!! They are just a simple little box with a wrap around them. I learned how to make these from Becky Roberts, and then got busy with new DSP and colors! Here's the side view:

Box 2

We used the new "Summer Smooches" and "Floral District" Designer Paper for these, as well as the new "Itty Bitty Banners" stamp set and "Bitty Banners" Framelits! They open like this:

Box 3

I will post the simple cutting and scoring directions for these tomorrow, but right now I've got to run, we are taking Logan to college in Rolla, MO, which is a 3 hour drive, so have to get the ball rolling for that!

Until tomorrow, have a "Stampingrox!" Day!

Stampin’Up! Retiring Sincere Salutations!

Stampin’Up! Retiring Sincere Salutations!

Here's the "get well" cup again, but this time on a card! One of my stampers, Jan, requested I try turning the cup into a card and this is the result! My final stamping event for May and the current catalog will be this coming Tuesday night at the Nazarene Church in Marion, where we will make this along with three others:

Get well 2

The Simply Scored Scoring Tool made the creation of this card easy! I used Circle Circus for the stamping along the bottom edge of the cup and the black-embossed medallion in the center, and for one last time, Sincere Salutations for the "Get Well soon". I did sneak in a little bit of new as the steam from the top of the cup is with the flourish from the New Annual Catalog set, "Everything Eleanor".

That's all for today! I will be stamping with my "Watercolor Wonders" class today, so today is sure to be fun!

Until tomorrow, hope your day "Stampingrox"!

Stampin’ Up! Retiring Peach Parfait and Pear Pizzazz In-Colors!

Stampin’ Up! Retiring Peach Parfait and Pear Pizzazz In-Colors!

Good Morning! It's Friday, which means I am finishing the final preparations for my "Brides & Babies" class here tomorrow! Here's one of the projects using the retiring In-Color, Peach Parfait. At first I was hesitant to use this color for a baby card, but now I think it actually works in a gender-neutral way! Take a lookie and tell me what you think:

Hello baby 1
©Stampin'Up!™1990-2012

It may lean toward the femine side with all the scalloped edges, so perhaps it falls into the category of "I-don't-know-but-I-think-you-are-having-a-girl"! The inside uses one of my favorite verse sets, the retiring "God's Blessings"!

Hello baby 2

At this class we are making three wedding and two baby cards. Here's the second baby card, using the retiring "Pear Pizzazz" for the base and the retiring "Cheerful Treat" Designer Paper:

Worth the wait 1
©Stampin'Up!™1990-2012

This little sweetie also has the retiring "Finial Press" embossed on the Pear Pizzazz base, and the pudgy little back leg is made with the retiring "Heart to Heart" punch. I used the same punch for all the hearts on this card, including the one that is part of the pacifier!

I had two challenges in making this card. First, the retiring "Blushing Bride" cardstock is too pink, Very Vanilla is too washed-out, and we no longer carry the already retired "Blush Blossom" cardstock, so I ended up sponging Whisper White with Pink Pirouette Classic ink so my baby would be slightly pink and very healthy! The second challenge was how to make the baby face not look like a baby snowman, and I "hope" I have succeeded, you tell me! lol!
