Stampin’ Up! Retiring Inspired By Nature Misted Markers Technique!

Good Morning Stampers! How is your weekend going? Mine is going good!

How about another technique? This one combines "emboss resist" with a fun technique I call "Misted Markers":

Isn't this gorgeous? There are a few more steps than yesterday's technique, but well worth it, don't you think?

LOTS of retiring products on this card:

*"Inspired By Nature" Stamp Set (coneflowers)

*"Short & Sweet" Stamp Set (wish big)

*"Charming" Stamp Set (clear-embossed background words)

    *3/8" Twill Tape

And the inside:

"Inspired By Nature" flowers again, along with:

*"Charming" Stamp Set (scrolly frame)

*"You're a Gem" Stamp Set (Friend)

Contact me to order any of these retiring products before May 31st!

I will be back tomorrow morning with the third and final May technique! Until tomorrow, have a "Stampingrox!" Day!

Beveled Windowpanes and the Charming Stamp Set!

Beveled Windowpanes and the Charming Stamp Set!

Beveled windowpanes made their debut in the Occasions Mini Catalog and at first I had no idea what I would do with them, but after I saw them in person and used in many creative ways at Leadership I was excited to try them out! Basically they are a beveled rectangle of exremely CLEAR acrylic with slots on two sides so you can thread ribbon, twine, etc, through them to attach to a card, scrapbook page, or even to jewelry!

This sample I CASED from another demo on Stampin' Connection, but at the moment her name escapes me. I stamped the background words from the "Charming" stamp set in once-stamped-off Old Olive, then used a Cherry Cobbler & an Old Olive Marker direct-to-stamp for the flower image. The Beveled windowpane (the largest of the three sizes in the package) is held in pace with the ribbon wrapped around to the back side of the front card layers and a Mini Glue Dot hidden under each ribbon slot! I also used a Vanilla Ribbon Rosette that I colored with the same Cherry Cobbler Marker and then blotted the excess off with a paper towel It is attached with a Mini Glue Dot as well."wishes" is from the stamp set, "Fabulous Phrases".

For the inside I "huffed" on the left-over ink on the flower stamp and managed to get TWO more stampings with the same inking! "wishing you happiness today and always" is from "Heard from the Heart"!

These next two cards I CASED from Penny Thomas, a great lady I've had the honor of knowing thanks to Founder's Circle! Penny loves CAS (Clean And Simple)! Here I stamped the little bunny from "So Cute" to put behind the middle-sized Beveled Windowpane, and added pearls & "happy new baby" from "Family Phrases"! I sponged Blushing Bride ink on Whisper White 3/8" Taffeta ribbon for great co-ordination!

So cute

The inside I stamped with a phrase from the oldie-but-goodie, "Curvy Verses"! I love it that you can't mess up stamping these words, they are always "straight"! I punched them with the Decorative Label punch and then punched another in Blushing Bride, cut it into two pieces and STRETCHED my label!

So cute inside

The cupcake on this card is also from "So Cute", one of the sets you can get FREE right now with a $50 order!

The inside is stamped with another great phrase from "Bring on the Cake"!

A Sunday Post!

A Sunday Post!

Slooowly I am getting better at posting to my blog on a consistent basis, which was one of my goals at the beginning of January. I actualy started after I returned from Leadership in mid-January, and have been building up ever since! How do you like it? If some of you would leave me a comment, I might be encouraged to offer you all some blog candy one of these days, how about that?????!!!

These next three cards are some of my favorites from this month's swap (although they have all bee SO GREAT, it's really hard to choose!)

Rene Watson used the "Scallop Square" punch on page 201 of the Big Catalog to highight the "Springtime Vintage" Designer Series Paper from the Occasions Mini catalog. She added some "Victoria" Crochet Trim and a Basic Jewels Pearl to the "sending Springtime smiles" greeting! Her color palette base is Old Olive and Not Quite Navy! Beautiful!

Sadly, "No Name 1" is how I had to label this card after I loaded it on my computer. It is such a beautiful card, but I can't give anyone credit! Whoever you are, you did a fantastic job, stamping and coloring the blossoming branch from "Easter Blossoms" on Whisper White before running it through the Big Shot with the "Square Lattice" Textured Impressions Folder. I love the extra little touch of the Basic Pearl in the little girl's bow!

Susie Wood tore her "Springtime Vintage" fabric from the Occasions Mini into strips before adding it as a background layer to this beautiful creation! She also used the Occasions Mini "Baby Blossoms" for her focal point flower, with the Crumb Cake stamped-off background stamp from "Charming" on page 130 of the Big Catalog before punching with one of our Circle punches and layering on the smaller scalloped square from the "Scalloped Squares Duo" die for the Big Shot! This is all layered on a Very Vanilla Big Shot "Lattice" layer which is then layered again on "Perfect Polka Dot" Very Vanilla for an elegant, tone-on-tone look!

Fabric embellishment close up. "Friend" is from "Your a Gem" in the Occasions Mini!

Wow, seven days of posts in a row! Do you think I can keep it up? We'll see!

Until tomorrow, have a "Stampingrox!" day!
