Stampin’ Up! Wonder of Christmas for the October Online Class!

Stampin’ Up! Wonder of Christmas for the October Online Class!

Hey there! Today I'm sharing the third and final card in the October Online Class using Wonder of Christmas. I used the "Stained Glass" technique to color the angel:

Stampin_up_wonder_of_christmas_carolpaynestamps1

All of the stamps used on this card are included in the Wonder of Christmas set!

Stampin_up_wonder_of_christmas_carolpaynestamps2

Stained Glass Technique: the angel was gold heat-embossed on vellum, then colored on the back side with Subtles Stampin' Write Markers. It gives the angel a soft look.

Stampin_up_wonder_of_christmas_carolpaynestamps3

I created the background by stamping phrases from Wonder of Christmas with Pool Party ink. After I finished coloring the angel, I mounted her on Whisper White. Adhering vellum can be  tricky because the adhesive shows through. I solved my problem by piercing two evenly-spaced holes through both layers and then tying gold twine in a bow.

Stampin_up_wonder_of_christmas_carolpaynestamps4

I cut a star from Gold Glimmer paper with a Starlight Thinlet. It is adhered with a glue dot. I added an extra glue dot between the white and vellum layers too. The tiny white scalloped edge is cut with a Shaker Shapes Framelit.

Inside is all stamped with Pool Party and more Wonder of Christmas sentiments. When you receive your October Online Class cards, these words will be embossed with gold.

Stampin’ Up! Embellished Ornaments for the October Online Class!

Stampin’ Up! Embellished Ornaments for the October Online Class!

Hey there! Today I want to share with you the second card I created for the October Online Class, this time with Embellished Ornaments!

Stampin_up_embellished_ornaments_carolpaynestamps1

I used Floral Boutique Designer Paper (on sale this month B3G1Free!) for the background, then cut ornaments from Dazzling Diamonds and Silver Glimmer paper. I removed the plastic-backing from the glimmer paper before cutting with the Delicate Ornaments Thinlets. Using the Precision Base Plate under the glimmer paper while cutting and using the Big Shot Die Brush to remove the pieces really helped speed-up the process. I also used the new Big Shot Platform with it's extra shims built-in to get the tightness needed to cut the paper all the way through.

Stampin_up_embellished_ornaments_carolpaynestamps3
I looped Silver 1/8" Ribbon twice before tying in a bow added with a glue dot.

Stampin_up_embellished_ornaments_carolpaynestamps4

These pictures really can't do this card justice. It's spectacularly gorgeous in real life!

Stampin_up_embellished_ornaments_carolpaynestamps5

I hand-cut the banner ends with Paper Snips and added a single rhinestone for a final embellishement.

Stampin_up_embellished_ornaments_carolpaynestamps6

Inside is just a gorgeous as the outside, all stamped with Embellished Ornaments!

Well, that's all for today. I've been "nesting", similar to what an expectant mother does when she is about to give birth. I've been cleaning my house, doing extra laundry, giving all of the beds in my house clean sheets, etc, in anticipating being gone to help with the new baby.

If we don't have a new baby today, I plan to be back tomorrow with another Sunday Swap Day!

Until tomorrow, have a Stampingrox! day!

Stampin’ Up! September Paper Pumpkin Something Good to Eat Part 3!

Stampin’ Up! September Paper Pumpkin Something Good to Eat Part 3!

Hey there! I created today's projects with the September Paper Pumpkin, Something Good to Eat!

Stampin_up_paper_pumpkin_candy_slider_carolpaynestamps1

I made slider cards for candy wrappers!

Stampin_up_paper_pumpkin_candy_slider_carolpaynestamps2

I embossed Chocolate Chip  with the Boho Chic folder, layered with Halloween Night Specialty Paper. A Scalloped Tag Topper Punch tag was stamped with Paper Pumpkin September kit stamps.

Stampin_up_paper_pumpkin_candy_slider_carolpaynestamps3

I used Halloween Night Baker's Twine for the "pull" and the tag'sdouble bow. I added a Halloween Night Enamel Dot.

Stampin_up_paper_pumpkin_candy_slider_carolpaynestamps6

16 inches of  twine was wrapped around the candy, then put inside 6" x 5 1/2" Chocolate Chip embossed cardstock.

Stampin_up_paper_pumpkin_candy_slider_carolpaynestamps7

I added Tear & Tape Adhesive to the long edges.

Stampin_up_paper_pumpkin_candy_slider_carolpaynestamps8

I punched with my 1/8" Circle Handheld Punch.

Stampin_up_paper_pumpkin_candy_slider_carolpaynestamps9

I pulled the twine through the holes with a floss threader, tying in a bow.

I decorated  Twix ghost packages with another design from Halloween Night Specialty Paper. The ghost is from Sweet Home, cut with a Home Sweet Home Thinlet. "NO TRICKS JUST TREATS"  is from September Paper Pumpkin, cut with a Paisley framelit.

Stampin’ Up! Sunday Swap Day Cookie Cutter Halloween!

Stampin’ Up! Sunday Swap Day Cookie Cutter Halloween!

Hey there! All of today's cards have been created with the Cookie Cutter Halloween stamp set from the Holiday Catalog.

First, Mary Anne Grimmer used Halloween Night Designer Washi Tape, Halloween Night Enamel Dots, and the "BOO!" from Suite Seasons to create the back ground for her adorable card. She cut background squares of Old Olive, Pumpkin Pie, and Perfect Plum using a Layering Square Framelit.

Stampin_up_cookie_cutter_halloween_carolpaynestamps1

Each little Halloween guy, punched with the Cookie-Cutter Builder Punch, has his own special accent! Mr. Skeleton has a tiny heart punched from Pumpkin Pie Glimmer Paper:

Stampin_up_cookie_cutter_halloween_carolpaynestamps2

Mr. Mummy is gently accented with Smoky Slate ink applied with a Blender Pen:

Stampin_up_cookie_cutter_halloween_carolpaynestamps3

And Count Dracula is expertly colored with Stampin' Write Markers!

Stampin_up_cookie_cutter_halloween_carolpaynestamps4

Next, Julie Skotzke also used a Suite Seasons sentiment, accented with a Halloween Night Enamel Dot and threads pulled from Halloween Night Baker's Twine. Mr. Skelly's bow tie is punched from Pumpkin Pie Glimmer!

Stampin_up_cookie_cutter_halloween_carolpaynestamps5

Carolyn DelGrosso sponged Irresistibly Floral Specialty Designer Series Paper with Pumpkin Pie, Old Olive, and Perfect Plum ink to coordinate with the colors in the Halloween Night Designer Washi Tape. The "happy halloween" sentiment from Teeny Tiny Wishes was punched with the Duet Banner Punch.

Stampin_up_cookie_cutter_halloween_carolpaynestamps8

Finally, Crystal Brown used my favorite, Mr. Scarecrow, for her Thanksgiving-ish card. She used the Woodland Textured Impressions folder to emboss the Delightful Dijon background, cut Warmth & Cheer Designer Paper with a Layering Circle Framelit, and stamped a Suite Seasons sentiment.

Stampin_up_cookie_cutter_halloween_carolpaynestamps10

Mr Scary is heat-embossed with Gold Powder, then lightly colored with ink from the inkpad lid and a Blender Pen. Gold Metallic Thread adds a subtle gleam.
