Stampin’ Up! Birthday Basics Balloons!

Stampin’ Up! Birthday Basics Balloons!

Hello there! Late posting today. I'm at Jessica's house getting ready to take Ava, Cohen, and Jaxon back to my house for the day. Jessica has photo sessions all day, so I am taking them to my house to play with Liam! (Liam is at my house with Logan, Ben, & PaPa right now)

Today's card is another from my SWOW class this Saturday. As you know, I LOVE punch art, so when I found this punch art balloon several places on the net, I just had to design a card using them!

Balloons 1

I heat embossed the "Happy Birthday" from You're Amazing with white powder, then dry embossed the Bermuda Bay layer with the Perfect Polka Dots folder and the Big Shot.

The balloons were created with an Medium Oval punched piece of cardstock with one of the feet from the Owl Builder punch attached to the bottom! Pretty neat!

Island Indigo Baker's Twine was attached to the back of each balloon with a Glue Dot. After attaching the balloons to the card with Stampin' Dimensionals, I gathered the twine together and attached them to the card front with another dimensional. I then hid all the mess with a strip of Birthday Basics Designer Paper, which is where I found the color palette for this card!

Balloons 2

Inside I stamped one of the phrases from the new Remembering Your Birthday, omitting the words I needed to with Stampin' Write Markers and positioning the {YOU!} where I wanted it with my Stamp-a-ma-jig.

Balloons 3
I sponged each of the Raspberry Ripple, Summer Starfruit, and Soft Sky
balloons with the corresponding ink color, sponging more ink onto the
left side of each balloon to give it some depth, then used the new Chalk Marker from the Holiday Catalog on the right side to give the look of light and reflection!

That's all for now! Until tomorrow, have a Stampingrox! day!

Stampin’ Up! Silver Glimmer Christmas Tree!

Stampin’ Up! Silver Glimmer Christmas Tree!

Good morning! We are in full Liam-mode around here! Nothing is safe from a 12-month-old! He makes me realize how far my house has come from being toddler-proofed! Needless to say, it's rapidly getting more "proofed" all the time!

I spent most of yesterday before Liam arrived running errands, helping Ben select his first i-phone, and getting groceries. I realized I hadn't done a serious supermarket run since before Oakley was born 3 weeks ago!

Today's card is one I created on Monday for my Christmas Card Class this coming Saturday. It's a pretty simple card, just some Pewter heat-embossing for the greeting from the Carryover List set Greetings of the Season and Silver Glimmer Paper strips. The addition of the Red Glimmer Paper Itty Bitty Shapes circles and the Silver Merry Minis Punch Pack star make it really festive!

Silver Glimmer Tree 1

Midnight Muse is the card base and focal image layer. I added the 1/2" wide Silver Glimmer "tree branch" strips with Tombow glue, as well as 1/2" Silver Glimmer strips around the edges of the Midnight Muse layer with the same adhesive. I wanted give the look of a solid mat of Silver Glimmmer paper behind the Midnight Muse layer without cutting full layers of the  glimmer paper, so opted for the 1/2" strips. I think it looks pretty good, what do you think?

Silver glimmer tree 2
The inside verse is from another Carryover List set, More Merry Messages, stamped in Midnight Muse ink.

That's all for now! If you are planning to come to class on Saturday, please RSVP soon!

Until tomorrow, have a Stampingrox! day!

Stampin’ Up! Delicate Doilies Butterflies!

Stampin’ Up! Delicate Doilies Butterflies!

Good morning! How is your day going so far? I have a new card to show you today, one of my creations for my "SWOW" Class this Saturday (SWOW stands for "Simply WOW"!)

Delicate mosaics 1

LOTS of Vintage/Shabby Chic going on here!

I white heat embossed images from the Delicate Doilies stamp set on Blushing Bride cardstock, then cut them out with the Beautiful Butterflies Bigz Die. After sponging all the edges with Soft Suede ink I added them to the card with Stampin' Dimensionals. Very Vintage Designer Buttons with a piece of Linen Thread tied through them was added with a Glue Dot, then topped off with a Basic Jewel Pearl!

The Very Vanilla layer was texturized witht the Modern Mosaics folder, then sponged with Soft Suede ink.

Crumb Cake 1/2" Seam Binding, "Happy Birthday" from Create a Cupcake white heat embossed and punched with the Word Window Punch, with one more pearl to finish it off!

Delicate mosaics 2

Inside I stamped the Hello Doily background stamp with Sahara Sand ink on the Very Vanilla layer, then sponged the edges with Soft Suede ink. The Create a Cupcake verse is stamped with Soft Suede, then a final butterfly that matches the ones on the car front!

Some might consider this card a bit fussy, but I really like it!

It's back to the creative mojo for me today! Liam comes to stay with me this afternoon, so I'm on a bit of a time bomb! yikes! I have two of my SWOW projects created and one of my Christmas Card Class projects figured out, so I'm half done! But I have in mind what I want to do, it's just a matter of gathering my supplies and working ont them!

Until tomorrow, have a Stampingrox! day!

Stampin’Up! Perfect Blend is Perfect!

Stampin’Up! Perfect Blend is Perfect!

Happy Monday morning! Today is my day to design my SWOW and my Christmas Card Classes for this month! I will be keeping Liam the rest of the week starting tomorrow afternoon, so I need to get my creative work done today so all I have to do is cut paper and play with him the rest of the week! If all goes well today I should have some new ideas to show you tomorrow!

Until then, I finally got a chance yesterday to photograph and categorize the swaps my downline swaped at convention for me. It still seems weird that I missed the biggest Stampin' Up! Convention ever, but I know it was for the best and that I was where God wanted me to be, so I'm o.k. with it.

Today's swaps were created with the Perfect Blend stamp set. I have a confession: I don't own this set. Shocker, I know, as I probably do have 80% of the sets in the catalog. (Hey, I get alot of them free with Hostess Benefits, Title Benefits, Sale-a-bration Benefits, Annual Awards, and Incentives!) So I was really glad to get a few samples using it.

Lorraine Duran created this one with Calypso Coral, Crumb Cake, Soft Suede, and Early Espresso. I love how the Crumb Cake vertical strip was textured with the Square Lattice folder to give it the look of the cardboard cozies they put around the cups when you buy them in the airport!

The only thing I can tell you about the creator of this swap is that her name is "crazycatstamper", but I really like the way she paired Pool Party, Basic Black, Very Vanilla, and Soft Suede together. She used the Square Lattice folder on the cup cozie section this time, and added some bling with an edge of Clear Dazzling Details along the edge of the black oval. You can't tell in this picture, but she also added Crystal Effects to the cup lid to give it a "plastic" effect!

The last card in my Perfect Blend collection was created by Beverlee Morales. Beverlee chose a more feminine route with her choices of Early Espresso & Whisper White, with a dash of Melon Mambo Gingham Garden Designer Paper for the cups, Silver Glimmer Paper for the scallop border, Tea Lace Doily, and a Simply Pressed Clay flower! Seems like the Square Lattice folder is a natural to use with this set. Beverlee used it to emboss the Whisper White layer!

That's all for now! I've got to get busy stamping! Until tomorrow, have a Stampingrox! day!

Stampin’ Up! Gift Bow Bigz Die!

Stampin’ Up! Gift Bow Bigz Die!

After posting the video on my Facebook page,  Carol Payne Stamps, I thought today would be a good time to show you a couple of the bows I've put together using the Gift Bow Bigz Die!

Bow 2
I used some retired Christmas designer paper for the bow on the right. It was the first bow I made to practice.

Bow 1

I used the Winter Frost Designer Specialty Paper in the Holiday Catalog for the second bow. I think it is simply GORGEOUS!!!!!!!! This paper is one-sided foil and is so beautiful! I added a Jumbo Rhinestone to the center just for a little more bling.

I haven't made any of the other bows shown in the video yet, but I made these before I viewed the video. This die will be used for many occasions, including birthdays and baby gifts! I'm really excited about this die!

Well, I need to get off here. Today is Oakley's first Sunday at church! I've missed the last few weeks with helping out Alisa after Oakley's birth and then after coming home from the NICU. It will be good to be back with my church family!

Until tomorrow, have a Stampingrox! day!
